This is a very easy and nice box! I love that it has a notch so that u can close it. Just a teeny tiny bit hard. I’m somewhat stuck on the first part....
OMG! I have been your subscriber and love your channel so much. I design origami by myself as I want to be a unique origami artist like you. P.S. I watched you on TV ("TV Champion") here in Japan😆😍 !
Estaba mirando a Mayra Sanchez y de pronto me encuentro con tu canal. Felicidades haces un trabajo muy bonito y bien explicado. Hare uno para mi novio!!! Saludos desde México.
Ah finally I have a box. Thank you for your fast response sweet paper. The final step is hard that's when you have to tuck all 4 sides inside the corners of the box. The box kept fighting me and unfoldind so I had to use glue. BIG MISTAKE, the sides should be free to move as you open and close the box. Well I learned that one the hard way. I've been drawing the sequence of the folds for future reference and I've noticed that for a small box like this it needs a lot of steps. Anyway thank you for your feedback , this was a great video.
Thank you💕, but ah😧! Just few hours later, I uploaded the new better version of this video. If you have a chance to make another one, please check the new video.
What wonders the origami world holds. Thanks for sharing this tutorial, it is sometimes hard to follow for a beginner, but with a lot of pauses and play-backs, I managed.
Bibi Warmerdam as long as you practice patience and never give up you will experience all the joys of something you’ve accomplished! Never give up! Good luck Bibiana!

I tried to make a different box and it came out crooked the first time. I followed this tutorial to the letter, and I got it perfect the first time. That is the mark of a good tutorial.
I have not been doing origami for long and there is still lots to learn Fair play I mad this box and is absolutely beautiful, so thank you so much for the tutorial. I looked at your site and there is stunning content on there and all the stuff I want to learn to do. just to be able to make stunning gift boxes and making things like Christmas presents look that so much better on how they are wrapped and packaged. Thank you once again.
If I could do that, this video makes me to learn carefully this makes my difficulty to get focused carefully I didn't notice about those things? Thank you for helping I appreciate that
not going to lie, the move at 6:16 nearly brought me to tears, but i figured it out eventually and was left with a great lil box :) but it doesn't seem to want to stay closed, i had to tie it with a string for now lol
Ok but why does mine look like someone took a piece of paper, crumpled it up, threw it at a wall, ate it, and puked it back up again. Beautiful tutorial, I’m just bad 😂
Even watching the other short video I still can’t get my boxes to fully close except for a short time, it seems like the bottom of the box is slightly bigger than the top so it doesn’t want to stay closed and the solid color sides bow outwards. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if its just finicky. But definitely a very good tutorial! Thanks.
Thank you for viewing the videos. You wrote, "the bottom of the box is slightly bigger than the top", which is true. At 3:08 folding 3 mm below the line makes the lids bigger than the bottom. 3 mm might not be enough for your box, so make it 4 mm. And finally, put a lubber band around the box for a while until the creases become stable, which works sometimes.
@@SweetPaper Thanks so much for the tip! I'll definitely try it again. I love the design of the box, it's so cute and the way it opens is so different than any other boxes I've made.
@@SweetPaper Thank you (and thank you OP!) for posting such a quick reply; I realized finally what I was doing wrong :P (I was doing the opposite thing wrong though; the bottom of the box was too small). Works like a charm, thank you so much for this beautiful design :)
ok this is unfair. you made this box, right. it gets 1.6M views. awesome. then you see another channel who copies your content and instructions, and gets 16M views. how is that fair?
Thank you! You are one of the few people who knows the unfairness of RU-vid, ha ha. After I found the video, I put warnings on all my videos so I hope it will never happen again.
