It’s all about the simple love and respect that will keep her loving this as a lifetime sport.
Snowboarding is about having fun. That’s it. That’s the core of why anyone ever strapped into a board to begin with. Same goes for skiing.
FUN = For Us Now
When you’re having fun you’re living in the immediate moment and not thinking about anything else. It’s a very healthy selfish feeling. It’s what keeps you doing the things you love.
We feel a smidge of pressure sometimes in our comments about Cashy and her progression. For example Olympics/X Games podiums. To be honest, that’s a path she has to choose herself. We will not force her to pursue that unless she truly wants to. I (Nick) personally would steer her away from that side of the sport. Is it rad? Hell yeah it is! However it does come with its extreme highs and extreme lows. That’s a deeper conversation for another time (maybe a podcast) 🤔
We are lucky to ride over 65 days a season. That’s absolutely insane thinking how I grew up riding maybe 20 if I was lucky. With that time on the board, progression naturally happens but it doesn’t happen if you’re not having fun. So it’s simple moments like this that can keep the fun alive!
This whole snowboarding, travel and adventure journey we put out for the world to see is to hopefully inspire more families to spend time together outdoors. There’s a bond that nature brings to a family I really can’t explain.
We’re not trying to “breed the next world champion” or “force her to live our dreams” as some people will say. We’re just trying to live in the moment, enjoy every second we have together as a family and be selfishly having FUN - For Us Now 🫶🏻
