Your heart is in the right place, but obesity causes death and health complications. You can't be happily obese. Accepting yourself isn't about a certain weight. It's just about loving yourself regardless of your weight, but being lazy and purposefully neglecting your health when you have no medical condition holding you back from being a healthy weight is just a sad excuse. People like that need help. Being obese at all is unhealthy so please don't undermine how harmful it is to the body. Being body positive means being self-aware about your body too.

So she can't do vigorous exercise. People look at her and judge her just like you're talking about doing to obese people. Just leave them be unless it's someone you know and care about. Chances are they already feel crappy about themselves and even if they don't, one stranger telling them that they are unhealthy won't change their mind.

I know a person that was deprived of food often as a child and now he is overweight because his subconscious is still stuck in the past, worrying if he's going to be able to eat later. I'm just saying that you don't know if an overweight person has an illness just by looking at them. You have to know the person. Otherwise you're just judging them on what you see on the outside. I'm a gymnast and I weigh a lot because I have muscles and I hate it when people say I'm fat because I have a perturbing spine so, just coz I weigh a lot doesn't mean I'm fat

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm overweight, but I'm healthy. My blood pressure is good, and so are my other vitals. I was in volleyball and track from 7th to 12th grade in school, and I was in weight and speed everyday. My mile time constantly went down throughout those six years, even though I didn't lose weight. I was getting stronger, but I wasn't getting thinner. Still my own fault though, I do understand that.

Yeah. Just because we're healthy, doesn't mean we don't have unhealthy habits that have gotten or kept us where we're at. I did field in high school.And we had to run with the track players. Best believe I was in the back, but I wasn't last. My problem is portion control. I used to come home and have a huge bowl of cereal almost everyday. And when we have dinner, I take more than 1 portion (because "1 portion" is the dumbest shit I ever heard). But, I don't snack, and I don't have that problem where people go to the fridge every 10 minutes until they settle on something. But, those are my problems, and my choices. And as much as I'd like to blame it on how I was raised, I still know better.

I'm a snacker... and I'm ashamed of it.

I mean, it's not really your fault? It's just a bad habit. Kinda like biting your nails, or popping your pimples. Except, it can hurt you in the future. I'm sure breaking our habits aren't that hard. I bite my nails for months at a time, and stop for months at a time. It's just our will and desire that we need to overcome. Not to mention, boost our metabolism, because that's why others can eat just as much as us, and not gain a pound. That's genetics though so, that's a little to blame. ^^

I'm not sure why, but some people get really attached to the idea of being a certain number/size. Also, they have 000 and 00 right before 0 as well. So even 0 itself isn't the smallest you can go. At least they don't use negative numbers, I guess.

Crazyismyhometown it isn't easy but maintaining 250+ lbs to gaining more weight gradually isn't good. i know it's hard to lose weight for some people but at least try? they don't have to be fit or skinny. average - 20 lbs heavier than ideal weight is better than being obese

+Joshua Sinogaya I have PCOS. When you have that, losing weight is far more difficult than you can imagine. My hormones are out of whack where I produce too much testosterone, it can effect my sleep, and if things went downhill too fast I could have to undergo surgery that would effectively ensure that I'll never be able to have kids - and I'm not even 30. Quite a bit of it is genetic, and I got hit from both sides of my family. There will always be some people like me that won't be able to lose weight or keep it off. Unfortunately I have to deal with assholes (and no I'm not saying you are) who I know laugh me or say I'm not human because I'm obese, but had didn't have a choice. People don't realize how much that hurts and makes you hate yourself.

I think the same but in the other hand, in a society were everything from food to the devices we use shortest our life i dont think its bad celebrating fatness, even if someone dies at 60 because of his weight its still a lot of years more than the real years we would have lived in a wild way of living, society brings hundreds of health upgrades that make you live a lot, dont caring about one its not going to kill you in two weeks.

You're missing the point really badly.

I'm not missing the point but there are pollution, climate changes, war, violance, animal cruelty.... and they are sitting and talking how hurt they are because these clothes didn't fit them. Well, I say stop being so vain and deal with it! Their problem is that they can't wear "one size fits all" and some people's problem is that they have nothing to eat...Sorry for having no comassion for them, but I think they'll survive.

Not everyone in this world can get over things quickly and not be affected by them at all. This video is to show that being different is okay to those people. Same thing with feminism, not every girl/woman needs it, but we still should spread it.
