I remember me and my whole family screaming at the telly “we’ve won we’ve won!”. Typical British over-enthusiasm and well, arrogance haha. But I still stand by it, it rocked!

You got more than 40 countries taking part every year, and and each country have its own 5-person jury and viewers taking part as televoters. How would you think the over-all results reflect anything political, and in what context? If you're gonna mention Brexit, the EBU has more member-broadcasters in Europe than there are member-countries in the EU so you can't pin the UK's recent bad results on that. As if Britain is special enough to be seen as a badly performing country in the contest, countries like Spain and Germany are not also doing well either.

We probably weren’t the only family in the UK screaming “Yeah, why her?” when Ireland won. I’m sure she’s a lovely lady and all respect to Ireland and Johnny, but Michael’s song was just superior. Check me referring to them all as if I know them! I don’t, obviously 🤭

There isn't always justice in Eurovision - not for the UK at least! Like in 1989 with Why do I always get it wrong, beaten by a corney Yugoslav song 'Rock me baby'!

It's quite simple, you know : because her song was better than his.

Ireland and Malta were better. This song is awful his performance is the only good thing about it and it was a terrible year in general

@@RollinsMoxStan I preferred this over Ireland, I found Linda's performance to be to whiney and desperate. Still, Malta was my favourite.
