I live in a Senior Apartment complex and the mgmt. is EXTREMELY conservative about any building or alterations on the property. There is also no "waste" ground nearby where I can just set down some newspapers and have at it. Every inch is landscaped and perfect. Add to that, my neighbors are tattlers and complain if someone has or does something they're not allowed/able to have or do and so the whole system is pretty self-policing and oppressive. I looked online at this paint-shelter and thot it looked alot like some cheap tents I've seen around. Sure enuf, Walmart has a bigger tent that will give you a 4th wall and a floor for less than HomeRight gives you here. The set-up is basically the same. But! When I moved in a few months ago, the movers used 2 large "closet boxes" for my hanging clothes and some other tall things and when I took those down, I realized they could easily be altered to make a paint-shelter. All I needed to do was duct-tape a cheap plastic drop-cloth floor and roof onto it and an old sheet for a 4th wall. This will catch the over-spray but allow oxygen and fumes to pass thru. Obviously, one shouldn't spend an hour sealed inside such a thing without an aspirator or whatever, but if the thing just hangs from the top, you can enter and exit without fuss and leave most of the over-spray inside. I still don't have the guts to set it up on my patio yet, but I'm hoping to get approval for it by the maint. guy.
