Honestly this should have been the series finale!!! Everything was resolved... 1. Lucas and Peyton have a family!! 2. Brooke and Julian are finally together!! 3. Nathan made it to the MBA!!! 4. Everything is just perfect, the ending, the music, the quotes!!
It would have been the perfect series finale. Down from tying up all loose ends to the final shot of the Comet driving away to Lucas' last line. Beautiful.
AND this is where one tree hill ended for me. peyton was my favorite character her life was so sad and dark and lucas was the only bright spot in her life. without the two of them the show wasnt going to continue for me. hell the show was based on their star-crossed romance.
@@Kiu2672 No, I liked Brooke. I have always been a Peyton and Lucas shipper and I always will and in the first 2 seasons I wasn't the biggest fan of Brooke but over the seasons she has grown and she became a realy good and loyal friend to Peyton and I love their relationship. With that said, I do think that this is where the show should have ended. The actors and characters that stayed on the show wasn't strong enough to carry the show for me. I would have liked one more season with Lucas and Peyton just so that we got to se how they would handle family life but I like this season as a finale season to.
The hard part about growing attached to a tv show is that you get upset when characters leave or die before the show ends. And then you watch it over and over again hoping that somehow it's going to change but it is not.
When Chad and Hilary both left I wasn't going to keep watching..but I loved Quinn and Clay so they kept me watching and I loved Brooke and Julian..I love Naley but they been together so long I seen a lot of them, so Brulian and Cluinn kept me watching the last 3 seasons
I stopped watching this after season 6. I watched a few episodes of season 7 but I wasn't feeling it. It just felt so dead. Characters like Alex and Chris Keller, it just felt like it wasn't One Tree Hill anymore without Luke and Peyton. I mean, Lucas was the main character, he made up the entire storylines because of his dream of playing basketball and his unconditional love for Peyton. When we saw Lucas bouncing the basketball and Gavin's "I don't wanna be" is playing it's about him. And when Chad and Hiliarie left, it honestly felt like all the magic, importance and significance had been taken out of the show. I mean I love the ideology of the fictional place Tree Hill but without Luke and Peyton/Chad and Hiliarie, it just isn't One Tree Hill.💓❤️💫
ye S7-S9 pretty much just felt like a messy soap opera with messy storylines. Idk how they could continue without the main lead Lucas Scott where mostly the drama revolves around him. They shoulda decided S6 as the proper ending for all the characters though imo. Ik Brooke needs to get her happy ending wedding but they coulda squish in a 10 years later time jump episode where Brooke and Julian are married.
Me and my sister were taking one day and she asks me what was the first ever series I watched? I had a loooong think and then it hit me - One Tree Hill. I told her about the characters that I remembered (I was only 12 or so and only watched episodes whenever they were on the TV haha) I told her I remember this core moment, I remember thinking wow, these two (leyton) are my ultimate OTP (even though am sure that word didn't even exist lmao) they just seemed so real. After that conversation, something inside me just made me want to watch it all, properly this time. Episode to episode, season to season. I am now 18. I just finished OTH from season 1-6. I just can't bring myself to carry on whilst knowing this is the end for Leyton. I kinda ruined it for myself as straight after season 6 finale I googled and youtubed if leyton do come back - to see, is it worth carrying on? Boyyyyy was I in for a shock :( yeah Lucas comes back but what for 3 seconds? - youtubed the scene haha .. I am upset. Upset that Leyton didn't get a good enough ending. I mean it was just out of the blue? As if they're just going to the shops to get some milk rather then "ride off to the sunset" I mean there was no realism whatsoever in it? They should've at least been packing maybe if they were moving? They should've at least said their goodbyes? Right? Okay maybe, there was hope for them to come back in some of the core episodes in seasons 7, 8 and 9 but no. I feel like I needed more. Like a proper goodbye.
a perfect ending to cap off their perfect love story, so glad it ended well. their love deserved it. a truly epic love story that ended in the best way possible. Chad and Hilary thank u for 6 amazing years.. love both of you. good luck in the rest of ur career. lucas and peyton get to live their dream life together, so happy. love you both
One Tree Hill could have ended when they graduated from highschool. That would've been a lovely, logical and acceptable ending. But I can't complain about S5 and 6 because they were also great seasons that allowed us to see what happened to them as adults and grown ups. However when Chad and Hilarie left, they should have just stopped it. Season 6 wedding and riding off into a new life that would have been a perfect ending. I still remember Lucas' and his hoodie, and his basketball while Gavin de Graw's I Don't Wanna Be plays in the background, and then we hear his voice over. Let's be honest, this show was created around his character. I tried watching S7, but couldn't get into it. It did not feel right.
I'm almost done with season 8. However after I finish season 9 I will be going back and watching all the way to season 6 then stopping because the show without Lucas and Peyton kinda sucks
I've always said that about the ending. It would be perfect. Lucas would've had to put his hatred aside to help Dan and bring Nathan back home, and it would've totally completed Dan's redemption arc perfectly
This final LP scene was such a perfect ending for them. Ending the series with them together in the Comet with their little girl, when they started the series separated by the Comet when she almost ran him over. Really beautiful, and with CH now gone, I'll consider this the series finale.
Honestly kinda happy they left here so that the show couldn't come in and do something horrible to them again ('cause they would've)...they got the happy ever after off screen that we all wanted for them❤️
This is how One Tree Hill should've ended. Another 3 seasons after was like a bullet to the brain. I missed Hilarie the most. She was the beautifulest and my favourite female character on the show. And when she left, I knew this show was dead. Brook and Hayley weren't great characters. I mean, Peyton had that tragic origins with pain and suffering. She was great. I love Hilarie Burton so much and I was so glad she was back on TV when she came in White Collar.
Khloe Bell right. Peyton was an awful character which pissed me off because Lucas was so great and I had to skip a lot of his scenes because Peyton was in them
@@meghanbradly he cheated on her once. That kiss in the school shooting between him and Peyton is overrated and overblown. He had flaws when it came to relationships but let’s not forget his greatest attributes: being a great caring friend and brother to Nathan. One of the best things he did other than save Dan from the fire and Peyton in the school shooting and psycho Derek is throw a basketball game for Nathan and try to take the fall for Nathan’s point shaving so Nathan could go to Duke. He also helped Brooke with baby Angie, supported Anna when she revealed she was gay, travel to New York to try and convince Haley to come home etc
@@juyahmadHonestly? He really only cheated once. I can't believe people don't have Grace for when Peyton kissed him in the school SHOOTING episode. She had no idea that she got shot and she really thought she was going to die and when Lucas went into cardiac arrest it was revealed she would've if he didn't go into that library to save her... How in the world do you favor someone who made her best friends date rape situation, about herself, rather than her best friend? Brooke went so far as to try pushing Nathan, Peytons emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend, towards her. Atleast Peyton was honest with her. I really only think Peyton was in the wrong the first time w Brooke and with Lindsey, kind of. She didn't lust for Lucas she loved everything about that man. Brooke lusted after Lucas so much, in fact, Brooke had to actually seduce him by being overly sexual! Peyton literally just had to exist, and all he wanted from Peyton was connection and longevity.
Every One tree hill fan will agree that if they needed to end the season they should have at the end of season 6. The next season's weren't terrible but at the same time weren't great... I'm dissapointed in chad for leaving the show... it was nothing without him and hilarie.... just remember One tree hill will always be in our heart's so lets charish the great show, I mean it lasted a great 9 season's... OTH👍💪👏👌🙌🙏
This is the last time we will ever hear Lucas and Peyton Quote something in the show like they always does one of the things I’m going to miss so much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hilarie and Chad should have stayed for season 7 and then they should have just ended the show. Even though Brooke didn't get her happy ending till the last season, I still think they should have just ended the show. The show was completely different after season 6, nothing was the same after leyton left. If you ask me seasons 1-6 and seasons 7-9 are completely two different shows.
They really coulda done a 10 year time jump finale episode in S6 where Julian and Brooke are finally married. All characters said goodbye and get their happy ending.
Hilarie Burton left because of the abuse on the set. Mark Schwahn was inappropriate to her. Tried to get in her pants and that stuff. It came into light when the MeToo movement happened.
I always cry when I watch this scene because I know its the last Leyton scene ever. I really wish Chad and Hilarie had come back for at lest a few episodes is seasons 7 and 8
This was where the romantic heart of the show ended as well as the family drama as at the start the show was about the relationship between Nathan and Lucas. Without Peyton and Lucas it just wasn’t One Tree Hill anymore.
I stopped watching here when it aired, I have rewatched the show since then but still didn't get past this point. I have no idea if season 7-9 are good and I will never find out because I am just not interested.
I watched season 7 and some of season 8. I never saw season 9. Brooke and Julian are married with twin boys. Haley and Nathan are still married and have two kids, Jamie and Lydia. And Quinn (Haley's sister) is with Clay (Nathan's agent, a widower with a son named Logan).
The show wasn't the same without them. They brought love on the show. After their departure everything became superficial and based on appearance and money, to the image of Brooke! Leyton forever!
This would of been a good finale for the entire show. Everyone is happy and their dreams came true. I think all fans would of been satisfied. Now who knows who good season 7 will be, without Lucas and Peyton? I can't even imagine it. There such a big part of the show!! Very heartbreaking =(
I cant think of a better ending for leyton I gonna miss them so much, but they got their happy ending what more could a leyton fan ask for, leyton and sawyer forever
Season 6 was the best and this finale was the true ending for me, without Lucas it just isn't the same. Watching Season 7 now but not with the same enthusiasm.
James Lafferty have been my favorite since the show started but I have to say that the center of the story are Lucas and Peyton without them I don't know what think about
A perfect ending..... Two amazing, strong, smart, rounded characters. One truly incredible relationship. True Love Always :) LEYTON Forever! I love One Tree Hill and Leyton so much!
i miss lucas and peyton sooooooooo much!!!! eventhough lucas came back once i want the whole family to come back,... i hope the season finale ends with all of them together as one big family!!! :)
Such a heartwarming song and ending. Love the last shot of the street and then the rivercourt and of course LP being the last two to speak. It sucks that LP had to leave the show but I try to see the silver lining in that, had they stayed they might have been ruined further. Now i can watch their story from 1-6 and be happy they got their happy ending and the fully journey. Not every tv couple can say that. The true series finale in season 9 was really well done. It's a huge shame that LP were not able to come back for it but in my head LP moved back to Tree Hill afterwards and everything was right again.
Yep. I stopped watching after that. only watched when lucas came back, and the last episode of oth cos oth does mean a lot to me growing up :( but it jz wasnt the same, lucas n peyton was everything :'(
After this I stopped watching oth because Lucas and Peyton were my favorite characters and the show just got really weird and boring. Anyone else agree?
Zoie Lou yes!!! It just felts so weird and boring, it also pissed me off how they really didn't try to negotiate and work around Chad and Hilarie's schedules. That's your two main characters
Zoie Lou totally agree. I think Lucas and Peyton characters made the show great. I was rooting for them from the very beginning. I did not like Lucas and Brooke together.
Zoie Lou I didn't like Brooke & Lucas together either and I always felt that it was mistake to go back to them in S2 and clearly only happened because Chophia were together at the time.
@@kloe6095 Wrong. It was Lucas and Peyton from the beginning. Lucas and Brooke were together because the producers wanted them to be, because of Chad and Sophia marriage.
MTV developed tragic scenarios for how to write the couple out of the show but concluded by saying, maybe after all that they have been through in six seasons that these two deserved there happy ending and the fans were also glad that the couple finally got there happily ever after that they felt that the two always deserved.
Perfect ending. Thanks never for uploading all these scenes. Im going to miss L+P. And i dont know if im going to be back next season. OTH was always about Lucas at the core for me.. and without him.. i dont know. Awesome ending!
i can't believe that leyton is leaving. lucas was the whole focus of the show for so long, how can it go on without them? i just kind of figured since leyton was the main love story, when they got their happy ending, the show would be over.
I agree without these 2 it never realy was the same. Allthough the rest of the seasons where still good. For me this show was the next best thing after beverly hills 90210. OTH has a equal spot next bh90210 in my heart. ❤
Chad Michael Murray is coming back for an episode im so happy! i haven't seen an episode since this one. im still pissed that they had to leave the show and i wish that Hillary was returning to but im looking forward to seeing lucas again. i wount know what is going on since iv missed 2 season but i have to see Luke again.
Take a ride with Peyton Sawyer , don't you mean Peyton Scott". I. Luv that part it makes me melt when Lucas says that to peyton and she replies with Peyton Scott
I loved that they road off into the sunset together but hated the song they rode off too... Any way this is where I said goodbye to OTH... S06 was my last season too... I just wish the whole gang was there to see them off
I'm french living Martinique. In the french version, One Three Hill was called "Les Frères Scott = Scott's Brothers". But when Lucas and Peyton left the show (history say they are living in Rome, Italia with Sawyer), they had to end the show, and create a spin-off like "Welcome to Three Hill". This is just my idea.
this must be the ending and the series finale...without Lucas and Peyton the show isn't the same c'mon their relationship is the principal part of this tv show and for me this is the perfect ending for this perfect show
i would have liked this to be the series end except I do think there were some storylines that weren't completely wrapped up. Even though I hate that LP left, I cant be too mad, they got a good ending and they were together so, I was okay with it.
I know it's a sad thing that the most important characters from OTH have all gone but atleast we still have Brooke, Haley and Nathan who are three of the five most important characters and they are a reason why you should watch season 7!
I struggle because while I enjoyed the last seasons after they left, it just felt very un-Lucas like to leave Tree Hill. And Peyton always wanted to music in one sense or another so why would she not continue with her record label? So the reasoning behind them being gone just wasn’t good enough for me.
man i cant believe Chad Michael Murrey AND Hilarie Burton Are not returning for season 7 iM So crushed and hurt. they were my main Idols i needed them i wonder what there going to do next. may if the show gets to a 8th season they might come back i hope to God
I don't think it could get any worse then mischa barton leaving the oc after the third season. it was a bonus that oth lasted 9 seasons even with a flash forward. the oc was cancelled its fourth season even though the show was a huge success. marissa was the core to all the drama and the chemistry between her and ryan is was what made the show. oth had a lot more going on
