"I'll probably just leave him out. A character that doesn't love Brooke Davis, I wouldn't even know how to write that.' Hence why Brooke's dad was MIA. Love it!
"He tricked me..I fell for his charm like I always do and he left me like he always does..." This is one of the most touching scenes of Brulian, seriously, lately I have been watching this scene non-stop!
She had that ability to come across in different ways as Brooke. Real feisty and strong headed on the one hand, but also innocent and vulnerable on the other. Plus let's face it...she looks fucking adorable when she cries.
awwwww....."If you make the ravens tv show can you make him get hit by a bus or something?" The way she says it is so heartbreaking. She let him in, he made her think he cared, and then he threw her away like trash. She just wanted a father. Poor Brooke. She's had it the hardest out of anyone on the show. Sophia Bush is brilliant.
This is why I love Brooke Davis and why Peyton could never hold a candle to her. Brooke’s character was written to be relatable. She had it all wealth good looks talent and regular problems that eventually made her an amazing character Her relationship with her parents was complicated making her love starved and also consequently making her a good mother. Her inability to have kids is also something many women go through. I was happy she had her twins though in the end. The amount of heartbreak she’s gone through made her a guarded person. A woman focussed on her success. Brooke was a strong woman who has taken a lot hits and still managed to shine through Peyton was a bore. It felt like she was filled with self pity and cynicism and that she needed a man like lucas to come save her. Brooke did everything on her own. And she enjoyed julian’s love and support later. Somehow to me it seemed that peyton was propped to be a heroine but was a miserable one while Brooke became a fan favourite. #teambrooke all the way!!!!
Silver Darcy For me, I prefer Brooke to Peyton purely because Sophia Bush is a better actress than Hilarie Burton in my opinion. I don't dislike Hilarie, she's still a decent actress but Sophia performed her role on OTH with much more conviction and emotion. She really became invested with Brooke's character and that came through during her acting in more dramatic parts such as losing her chance to adopt, finding out she couldn't get pregnant or like here...I don't think I've seen many parts in OTH where I feel Sophia is forcing herself to show emotion. Hilarie seemed slightly more wooden in her delivery. No hate though, I don't think there's a main OTH character or actor I genuinely dislike.
The last part of your comment...I agree. I think Brooke became the breakout character. And I've seen some real salty comments from Peyton fans over it.
Why do you have to pit one against the other and put one down to raise the other up? If you want to get realistic about the writing, Brooke was a last minute throw in for comedy sake. She wasn’t even in the original draft. The fact that she *became* more than that is a credit to Sophia’s talent and Mark’s ability to adapt. And just because Peyton wasn’t relatable or interesting enough for you does not mean there weren’t people watching who did relate to her as a character.
I have the same issues with my dad, he hates me. We havent talked in 5 months and its hard. I wonder why he doesn't want me or doesn't love me. The other day I just started sobbing and I know it was because of him and his stupid games.
I'm glad hilarie left because she was protecting herself from the sexual harassment she received on set but I'm so sad peyton and brooke weren't shown together again. not a better friendship in the world
Apparently it wasn't just her who was sexually harassed it other women by the creator mark sschwahn oth that's why the show was cancelled because he wanted an he threatening cast members and co stars
