One trick that we use to determine if an immigration case will be decided quickly or slowly is by looking at the immigration officer's office.
If their office is piled high with other cases and papers, chances are that they are not going to get to your case soon. If it is organized, there is a higher chance they will decide your case faster.

So true for San Jose office! It's not just that officer who was ready to transfer out, it's just that ENTIRE field office is a mess. Stacks of files, angry grumpy officers, overloaded desks, rooms with tall piles in each one of them. They have high staff turnover and even supervisors don't stick around for long. What's worse is that a lot of H1Bs are concentrated in Silicon Valley and now have to go through interview process too. So, there is no hope for fast processing or even just a professional demeanor in San Jose. Good luck everybody! Don't loose hope! Eventually justice will prevail! Thanks Jim for your videos.

Terrible, they have to be more organized with this. We're spending a lot of money in this process and is totally unfair that they're making people wait for so long. I didn't have the opportunity to see my parents alive because I'm waiting on my status for so long 😥

Officers should be PAID ON THE BASIS OF CLEARING THE CASES ON TIME AND not monthly salary 😂😂😉

How would I know if the officer handling the case is messy or neat? 😏 The case I am keeping my eye on is for a K-1 visa that got sent to California. I am on the East Coast.

That's horrific people's lives on hold not able to work sometimes, in Domestic situations and up to a messy person who can't be bothered.

Hello Jim, I am a fan of your video and I have learned a lot from you. If I may suggest one thing to make your video more interesting by sit on the (high) chair while shooting instead of standing, because it could make you more steady on the screen and less body shaking, then your viewer also more enjoying your videos. Hi,my husband filed I-130 in December 2021 in California, by August 2023 the status says “estimated time 3 months until case decision. He checked in January 2024, status showed estimated time was 1 week to case decision. Then checked a week after, status says actively been reviewed till now we haven’t gotten any response 😢 we are young couples trying to grow our family. He has mailed and called multiple times but no response 😔 what can we do?

Hi , I get notice online : notive approval case decision rendered for N600 but I didn't get by mailing the notice .after the date showing online to apply for request I did than they responded to apply for I 824 form to get duplicate notive . My question I need to apply for I 824 form and pay again fee or another way ??thank you

Hey, my mother has entered USA on a visitor’s visa and her I-94 is valid till 04/22/2023. I have submitted an I-130 online for her and have got the I-130 receipt notice. I have mailed her I-485 application to USCIS which was delivered on March 15th. USCIS will issue me an I-485 Receipt notice once they start working on my mother’s I-485 application but that may take some time. My Question is, Will my mother be able to stay legally in USA after 04/22/2023 if she does not get the I-485 receipt notice till then. Thanks

Hello, when I check my online case status ( I-539 )it’s showing “fingerprint has been taken on 26 journey 2023 “ can you tell me how long can it will take to get answer from Uscis ? Or my case is still not start to reviewing by Uscis yet ? Please please answer me 🙏

Did USCIS refresh your online case status? I did meet this circumstance after I filed my I-589 online. My online status is "Next Step Is an Interview". Chicago Office; which one is your asylum office?

I submitted my I130 (F2A, Green Card holder spouse) in August 2019. Till now no change on the status. What's the next procedure and how long it takes to get approved. California Service Center Only got the receipt notice so far. Please give me some suggestions ?
