After riding these pedals for over 2,000 miles I can assure you they are the best cheap flat mtb pedals on the market! Today I'll be doing a One Up Composite Pedals review and breaking down what makes these so great!
What's not to like? They are grippy enough to back pedal, come in 6 colors and won't break the bank! Every rider I've met that has tried these pedals has never looked back! Pedal strikes don't have to ruin your ride! Upgrade and save yourself some scars!

What pedals do you run on your bike? Would you consider changing them up or do you ride or die for your pedals? Let me know in the comments below! 🤘🚲🦅

I have been using the OneUp pedals for 2 years now. Initially I was worried by the nasty looking pegs. I thought "those will turn my shins to hamburger pretty quickly..." This was because I often came off my the pedals on my old bike and got lots of pedal gouging. So I was surprized by these OneUp pedals because my feet just never came off to cause any pedal slap! My shins thank you OneUp! Also, staying on the pedals helps me get consistent drive on rough surfaces or hills. I'll be putting these on any future bikes.

All too well unfortunately lol! Have some serious scars from blowing my foot off a week ago over jumping at kanuga! Video will be coming out soon!

As the current owner of Scott’s Whyte 901, I’ve still got the same OneUp composite pedals on the bike that he sold me and they are still holding up great. Great pedals

I been riding Mountain Bikes since 1990. Came into the sport from Road Riding/Racing. Been riding Shimano SPD pedals since they were introduced decades ago. For the fun of it I decided to learn to ride Flat pedals this summer. Bought 510 shoes and One Up Composite pedals. It’s been about 9 weeks now and I have been developing a better feel for Flats. A couple of riding buddies let my try different brands they use for comparison. I prefer the One Up to Race Face and Crank Brothers I tried. Think I will definitely finish out the year on 5he One Up Composite Flat Pedals. I still need to improve. Have put the Shimano SPD’s back on twice and still more secure and aggressive on gnarly downhill sections being connected to the bike.

Riding with my race face Chester pedals and then hoping on your bike is night and day. Those three middle pins make a world of a difference but what I like even more is the massive surface area of the pedal. Once you dig your shoes into the pins you can really smash and take big hits and have no foot slippage.

I used ROCKBROS alu pedals, sold them and bought the PNW Loam alu pedals. OneUp Composite pedals were on my list, but I watched a video where they broke and decided to stick with Alu.

Nice review. I haven’t tried the One Ups but have been on composite pedals for several years now. Started with the Deity Compound and currently the Race Face Chester. Totally agree that these types of pedals are more bang for the buck, lighter, and virtually indestructible.

I’ve been using the Kona wah wah 2 composite pedal for years. However, I seem to break the pedal at the same spot - it’s taken a few years to notice it’s no fluke. While I love this pedal, I’m gonna try the one up composite to see if I can break it as well! Nice review

I’ve had a pair of these OneUp composite pedals since about 2020, but they started clicking last year. I disassembled and regreased them with marine grease, and they worked well for a few rides, but now are clicking again. I will try to regrease again, but if the clicking persists, I might look for something else.

Would you ever go to metal? I’ve got the stamps, and with how often I pedal strike, I’m sure I’d run through the composite in no time. I don’t care about the paint, I just want the spindle to be safe. Awesome review! I might be building Melissa a bike soon. Those may just be what I end up throwing on her’s

I dunno honestly Probably not unless I got a great deal. Don't have any problems with the composites and the price is so much less that I couldn't justify it... Unless OneUp hooks a brother up 😏

Great review! One of the best composite pedals on the market. I have their alloy pedals and I had issues with them binding on my crank arms (XTR 11speed) that not even spacers would resolve. If alloy is your thing, check out the new Shimano m8040, @70$ they are an incredible value.

I've run a set of these for nearly 2 years now and I honestly love them, they handle and soak up rock strikes like an absolute camp, I've snapped 2 pins in that time which I'm surprised it wasn't half of them, my single complaint is I wish they made them in a larger size, these with a set of five ten freerider pro shoes and your feet stick like shit to a blanket
