There was a young man who came to my work place, very grumpy and generally negative. The best I could do was encourage him and assure him he was capable and worthy of happiness in a very general way. He came back yesterday, to shop and was looking for me. His face was the opposite of what it had been. He was grateful that someone had taken the time to really see and listen; was cheerful far many days after. The most important thing really is that it took no time at all. It came naturally, but after a genuine desire to change the way my genes, upbringing and culture suggested I should behave. It works. The man actually received what I'd intended, and naturally gave it away. He gave me more than I gave him. And my job it to hold that in my mind today without expectation and try again. these talks among many help keep motivation and depth. /l\

When Obama became president. He inherited the 7.8% unemployment. When he left office, it was down to 4.8%. One of the largest decreases in unemployment ever. It is now 4.0%. So Obama got it down to three percentage points. Much more impressive than what Trump has done. Clintons average was 5.17%. If you don’t believe me, look it up. Then, taking the life of another sentient being for our taste pleasures is never justified when we can also eat fruit, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and mushrooms. There are at least 20 000 edible species of plants, providing all the nutrients we need. Indeed, is there any justification for slaughtering our animal brothers and sisters for our selfish reasons? If we killed each other at the same rate we kill non-human animals (including sea life), the human race would become extinct within TWO days, such is the scale of our mindlessness...
