I also love that you use all the “same” makeup for the looks. You’re right it, not everyone has a ton of makeup, some are starting off the year with a no/low buy goals and using what they have, and it shows versatility of how one product can be used for many different looks

Thank you for using Mel's palette. *Sydney Grace has said that they will continue to restock it as long as it keeps selling.* So for anyone who wants it, please "add your email" or whatever they ask on the SG website so they know how many to make. I believe Mel passed in September 2021. It was a shock!💔 She has 4 young children so all proceeds go to her family. And as you mentioned.... watching her videos helps her family. I don’t let work dictate my eye look. That’s scarob shade would have looked great. I have seen people at work without makeup so wear the colors u want. Your blue eyes r stunning and have so much pop! 💕

I knew this palette was big when it launched bc other RU-vidrs would mention it (before Mel passed), but when I saw it, I wasn't sure how I would've used it. Since the palette was already sold out when I first got into eyeshadow last yr, I never really looked into it. When it did restock in the wake of Mel's passing, I still couldn't picture how I would use it, even tho I love colorful eyeshadow. After watching this vid, I saw how versatile this palette is. It's colorful, but muted. And the shades really go well together. You can do a more colorful look, a "work appropriate look", or a unique take on a work appropriate look. I like this series bc ur 5 looks vids are esp great for any palette larger than a 9 pan bc +12 shades means a lot of combos that 2 or 3 looks won't cover. I really appreciate when a RU-vidr does 2-3 looks, bc even that's rare, but 5 looks is really amazing as a consumer and really shows a better sample of the range of a palette. Also, even tho I don't have this palette, ur vid is inspiration for similar looks I can create w similar shades I have in other palettes. As for 9 pans or smaller, that sounds like a fun challenge to try at least once bc maybe we'll all be surprised by the results. How far *could* u take a palette like That's Taupe? Maybe 3 looks would be more appropriate. Or 3 looks w the main palette itself, and 2 looks with 1 or 2 shades from another palette? I understand that RU-vidrs can't do this video often bc of time constraints, so thank you for taking the time to make this. I loved all the looks, each for their diff vibes.

THANK YOU!! 🙌🏻🙏 Have you ever tried the Gerard Cosmetics eye base? I have really dry eyes so I’m always looking for an eye primer that doesn’t make my lids look dry and flakey but still helps the eyeshadow last. I feel like the eye base does both of those. It doesn’t feel drying at all on my lids but still helps the eyeshadow last. It comes in white, light, medium and maybe dark? I got the white and light. I use the white most of the time because I’m really fair skinned and the eyeshadow always looks true to color more than when I use like a nude colored base.

New subscriber here! I loved 2 and 4 the most but all the looks were so pretty. I’m from Indiana so I think my accent may be similar to yours but Scarab is pronounced: scare-ubb! At least that is how I say it though it may be incorrect. 😂😂 I couldn’t help but to laugh at those parts. I want this palette! Hopefully it will come back in stock soon. ❤️

I'm so glad u did a video with this palette. I have it and haven't used it yet so it's nice to get some inspiration. I like easy looks. It's so sad that Mel Thompson died but it's nice we have a something to remind us of her. I would recommend getting the milani eyeshadow primer cuz it's affordable and it's a dupe for the urban decay one. You always look so pretty and put together. My favorite look was the green one. Love ur videos! 💗

I’ve been binge watching you girl. I think you are the cutest! My Daddy, who’s my best friend, a heart transplant patient(2016), and is now battling pancreatic cancer is from Dayton, OH! I have a ton of family from OH! Unfortunately I married a die-hard Michigan Wolverine Fan (now I am too) 〽️〽️〽️〽️ But, I am a medical coder, I work 60+ hrs a week between 2 jobs, and taking care of my Dad ( my husband and I live with my parents,, here in Southeastern Kentucky, and my Mom is a 911 Dispatcher, and a lung cancer survivor), but you give me a chance to get out of my head, and watching you is so fun! I have almost 90 eyeshadow palettes too, and that’s my vice! Sorry for my life story, but just wanted to give context as to why I love this channel so much!
You might already know this but figured I’d mention it anyways….whenever you can’t sleep, don’t just lay in bed tossing and turning trying to fall asleep. They say it’s best for you to get up out of bed, do something like read or watch tv for a bit, then go back to bed and try to fall asleep again. I’m a nurse and used to work at a sleep clinic and they always told people that when they would say they had troubles falling asleep. I started doing it myself and it really does make a difference. I always figured if I got up out of bed that it would wake me up even more, but it seems to help! Hope it helps you!
I told my husband how terribly I slept and he was like “Em that’s crazy, you should she gotten up and done something” so I’ll def do that next time haha I always assume it’ll wake me up more?? But I guess not! Thank you for the tip 😊

Very nice eye looks. I was going to pick up this palette but never did, I may reconsider that. I really enjoy my EL palette but think those colors are more suitable for me than this one. While it is colorful it looks to be on the softer side. Nice job.
OMGOSH! I sure have missed your face this week:) so glad you had some time off though - it's funny you should say that about the mac paint pot, I have been using it for a few years and love it BUT this past week or two I have been noticing creasing too! I wonder if maybe the atmosphere is interfering with it somehow? or if maybe they have expired. I was thinking to go buy a new one and hope it solves that - I love the tribute to Mel, so heartfelt and sweet! Also, thanks for the tip about layering on the gold bc I hate golds and never use them but I will try to do it like that and see if I end up finally starting to use my golds lol tfs & Happy New Year

So fun! It would have been extremely cool if you could have used that shifty red/green with the rosy look! But I get wanting to tone down sometimes. For me, it’s doctor’s appointments! 😂 The green look was my favorite! I wish you could have used the pastel green as your transition to really amp it up, but again, understand the work/wearable conundrum. That was still my favorite! The last, peachy/coral look really made your blue eyes pop, and the first, purple look was so fun! I also really liked the yellow gold look, even though I rarely like yellowy golds either. I liked it before and after the tone down! It was so sunny and happy! This whole week did feel very spring, but I’m not mad at it! I greatly enjoyed watching this! I love these one week one palettes. I’m excited for maybe Avocado Toast! I still think Passion in Paris would be SO beautiful, but I know you don’t have it. Super tempted to send it to you just to see the video! Lol. Favourites are # 4 and #5. I have the palette and will be recreating your looks. The few times I have used it I notice that the shadows crease on me a lot. I have very oily eyelids but will try again with different eye primer. Do you have too faced peach palettes or cinnamon swirl? Would love 5 looks from those.
That’s a bummer! I think my sunscreen was making my shadows crease cuz it’s a hydrating formula. I’ve been not rubbing it into my eyes and seeing if that helps haha and I don’t own that palette sadly!
The scarab shade is basically the same as MAC's blue brown pigment. And I consider it very "wearable". I am a Dental hygienist so I have to wear "everyday" type makeup & I can wear that one. 😊 (just fyi)
