Something the newer renditions miss from the original are the drums with military type of beats. It’s my favorite part of the original theme cause the versions without feel so empty when it gets quiet, before the “veni veni venias” part
Blame the reunion version, definitely the most quiet, and frankly not in a good way, basically most of the brass and as you said “military type drums” are way more quiet and feel like they’re in the background. Luckily versions like Advent or Rebirth or crisis core have more than enough to fill the empty space, Advent has drumkit and Rebirth goes absolutely ham on the bass drum and timpani
