You seem to understand that they ask you to accept the order because of the thefts, and the multiapping, but you get annoyed when they ask you to do it, because "you're not a thief". You do realize they don't know you, right? Just make an habit of doing it, and you won't have to say "I'm not gonna steal the food" to them. Anyway, I enjoyed the video, man. Glad you're back.

Yeah, totally, I've been riding for deliveroo for over 5 years now, back when i started, you had to book your shifts every Monday morning for the week ahead,and stay on line until your shift was completed, it was harder then as i was out in all weathers, however i did make a wage as there was far less competition, as for now, its free log in and a saturated market. It was doable to bring home a wage back then even whilst riding a push bike, but all change now, as you say, do it for fitness and fresh air now, you never know it might improve over time and get back to where it used to be, hears hoping. 👍

I did the job in Leeds for 5 years on a bicycle (non electric) on Deliveroo & Uber. To make £100 it would almost always take 7-9 hours. I've been doing it in a car now for 18 months, and no longer operate in Leeds centre due to the impossibility to park. I am operating from South Leeds now, and a really huge zone that incorporates Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford postcodes. I'm also now active on Just Eat. Guess what, it takes exactly the same time to make £100 in car: 7-9 hours. But I have to put 15 litres of fuel in a day (about £21.50) and also roughly 10 hours of Zego insurance at £1.16 an hour. Expenses are about £32 per day!!! And that doesn't include car maintenance costs! I know the real take home pay for cars is something like £8.50-£9 per hour. It's the car drivers who get it worst with the food delivery platforms. It is mostly individuals from ethnic minorities who do the job, and will endure pay below minimum wage. Lots of them do it as a full time job. I'm hoping the new Labour government will sanction a review of how these companies operate, and ensure people such as myself get at least NMW after expenses are taken off. Although that will probably mean a drastic change on how some platforms operate.

UberEats are THE WORST for fees, £5 or at a push £6 to do double pick-ups and orders, takes the piss.

Ubers really busy in Notts recently and deffs way fewer riders, none hanging out on long street earlier and theres normally loads regardless of the time of year. Making £15 an hour last few weeks

This is the reason I stopped delivering its salve labour government know but don't care and its mostly illegally workers doing this work and they doing it due the people bringing them in the country controlling them so they got no choice i see in the afternoon 1 guy handing out phones to 10 people you complain but the delivery company want you to give the name , address and all sorts of info its like think I'm going to know all that stuff. They doing it as they know if they stop them they will have to pay us proper wages

We have the tax problem in the Netherlands for Uber Eats. My estimation is %30 of the accounds here don't pay tax at all . Bcs the tax settings is based on declaration and there is no checking, it accepts immediately . They just put a random number. Bcs you don't have a tax number youre not in the system so there is no checking from the tax authorities since 5 years or so. This couses renting accounds to persons who cannot open their own accound or don't have a work permit. In some cities there are too many couriers so the income has decreased . Uber has removed so many promotions since last 1-2 years the main reason is too many couriers on the field. But I belive soon there is gonna be an investigation and a lot of couriers are gonna get huge fines for tax fraud.

In Liverpool fri- sun I tend to earn about 15 - 20 an hour during peak times, but its been hard to stay motivated with the weather so I've opted for a part time job. I wouldn't know much about mid week earnings, but yeah it's definitely gone down hill. I can't see me delivering again anytime soon.

Hi Jay, what backpack would you choose out of the ubereats or spartan with pizza pocket? I like the stealth look of the latter and I know you have a code, but I am just wondering which one might be best as I know the uber has the option of expanding out quite big.

Yah about minimum pay or bellow (it is 11.42 soon) accounting the possible tax, bike Maintenace and no holidays. But job can be pretty nice to get out of the house for quick cardio if you have full time job during week which I might consider doing soon (and to use my 1k tax free allowance), as want to earn bit extra to pay off debt... but I moved out of the bigger city which will hurt my earnings without Stuart here that paid almost double and main orders that were coming in hot were the Tesco ones.

Here in Finland Wolt delivery with bike is still ok i dont know much about doing it with a car or scooter probably quite slim earnings. But with bike lowest is around 4,60 euros per delivery and highest goes over 5. I usually really just do short deliveries around 1km or under. This isnt my main job so no stress its like a hobby that pays.

How much can you make working in a town, I live in Newquay Cornwall and especially in the summer months it gets busy but I hope it’s busy enough to be earn a substantial amount, what are your thoughts?

В основном заказывают продукты а готовую еду редко и есть компании у которых своя доставка продуктов ( самокат, яндекс лавка, вкусвилл, х5, магнит и тд..) готовую Еду заказывают редко и только либо яндекс еда либо сбермаркет. minako v8 или Minako Monster или Wenbo Monster. Эти модели самые популярные но и также ездят на других электровелосипед колхозник. В основном все только ездят 2 батарейки потому что одной не хватает на целый день так как все работают минимум 12 часов каждый день. Используют батарейки 60v20ah (самые популярные батарейки) и также другие. У нас практически никто не ездят на такого типа электровелосипед как у вас где надо крутить пидали либо простой велосипед обычный либо электровелосипед колхозник!

😂so many long trip past customer order from Deliveroo & now they all switch to ordering from Foodpanda orders again right!😊 Bec too many complant from Deliveroo Customer due to very very slow in Delivery & very very low paying to Riders nowaday. That is why customer all switch start orders from foodpanda😊

when it started I was making £20 per hour after a while too many drivers and I could not make 4 quid an hour where I lived most drivers are not even the drivers in the picture lol Now I've joined uber as a driver. They use to pay min £4 then went to £2.80 last time I worked.

Students are allowed to work 20 hrs a week but not as self-employed and delivery jobs are self-employment so yeah all international students working as delivery riders they are all working illegally.

I think part of the proble is the wholesale iport of cheap unskilled labour be that legal or Illegal, when you allow mass migration of almost 1 million people from mostly 3rd world countries and people abusing the system of renting out saddle seats to Illeglas you saturate the market and drive wages down. Delivering I have no doubt is a really really tough job , feel really sorry for British people having to do this slave labour

Earned 16 pound today for three hrs, to be fair, it was not busy. Not bad for not busy. However, i don`t kill it like i used to do, Too much competition from other riders

I have read people being very scathing about delivery drivers, but I can't imagine how anyone is making a living wage at it. It's a huge amount of work for very little pay. Perfect if you're trying to work under the radar but pretty thankless. I wonder if anyone earns enough doing it to even pay tax anyway given the personal allowance if you are under UK laws.

I'm wondering, can't your bike handle a rear rack where you can put your bag? It might be less stress on your back if you have one of those rear racks.

I Just started doing deliveries it’s a piece of piss if your fit I can do 3-4 an hour it can be slow some times . I’ve noticed in the evenings lots of foreigners doing it with bikes that are dog 💩 they must be doing one order an hour with the state of there bikes a lot of them are sat around to I accept every order so maybe that’s why . I don’t care about the mileage I know the shortcuts and strong ICELAND seems to be the best can be heavy but pays £7 and can be done in 15 mins
