One year later....Review of the Tein Flex Z Coilovers on my 2019 Subaru WRX Tein Flex Z Coilovers www.subispeed.... . . Follow me for updates on the build: Instagram - @leugarage Email - leugarage1@google.com
*I have Flex Z's on a 2nd Gen Lexus GS300 12k front 10k rear, and they are perfect for the in-between of comfort, daily, spirited, and track driving. They really show their potential when going fast.*
Are they really good for the track? For around $1000, it’s almost too good to be true and a reputable brand at that. I’m looking at the Cusco and meister R in around the same price range.
You also have a boat 😂. So, good choice on your part for selecting the 10-12k springs on your ride. Your springs are an equivalent to 6-8k spring installed on a lighter car like EK as an example.
Great review straight forward so sugar no bs! Ive been looking for budget and all of what you said adjustment quality and top hats for my crx thank you sir!!
Great video, I was considering these and just bought a 2020 WRX less than a month ago, and btw I peeped you were driving through Queens. Literally passed my exit on the Van Wyck lol.
thinking of fitting these to my Lexus ISF, my reason though is make the suspension SOFTER - the ISF is ridiculously stiff and I want it more compliant - would these work do you think? the TEIN spring rates are softer than Lexus stock ones so if I can then soften up the shock rate a bit it may work..
Can I hit a corner or turn at 80 mph confidently with these? I want to know how much better these are performance wise. I cannot care less about ride hieght, just performance and function. Thanks!
@Descipleofchrist101 Not sure what you decided to go with, but each car setup is different. My Flex Z's for a 2nd gen gs300 are 12k front, 10k rear, and I use them for tracking and daily driving without a problem!!! I prefer the stiffer ride.
what is the main feedback or feeling about changed the new coilover ? I mean compare to the stock one ,thank you! last, and what is the advantage to the car??
Hey, not sure what your asking here as I cover this in the video. If you're asking what is the point of installing any coilover, then there are tons of videos that explain that better. Long story short, this suspension has better handling than stock for the price range.
Hey, yeah no real issues when I got it aligned. I did buy some rear lower control arms so I can make negative camber. Once you stay between 0 and -2 you won't have any real tire wear or alignment issues. It's when you go for aggressive camber higher than -2, that's when you gonna have tire wearing too quick and unevenly
Hey, The phone holder is from Panavise, I bought it from subispeed a while back but not sure if they still sell it. Just Google panavise wrx phone holder and it should pop up
Hey, normally when you hear squeaks it's cause of dirt build up. Just double check that everything is nice and tight on the coilovers. Run it for a bit and see if it goes away. Could be another suspension part that is squeaking, especially when you lower a car.
@@leugarage6327 That is what I assumed since it was hard for me to find one haha. It's called Solar Maiko for anyone else that wants to go buy one/import one!
Hey, im really considering getting these coilovers and installing them how they come out of the box like you have. How are these holding up now? Do they squeak alot and make noises?
Hey, I haven't had any issues since I have had them on. Some say they have squeaking but I haven't had any issues. For the price I think you will be happy with them
