Thanks, FernDa Goat. It worked! I have spent hours over 2 days trying to find a way of sorting this. Yours is the first that worked within 5 minutes (without restarting my PC). I added 'Everyone' to Security>permissions just by typing the word in the box as shown (capital E, etc in the box and then opened up One Drive (right click on bottom task bar symbol) then clicked on each of the "You do not have permission" files which had the blue circular "recycling" symbol beside it; right clicked and shared access (Read/Write) with Everyone (as opposed to Owner). I wonder if all this occurred because I transferred my main hard disk drive (Windows 10) to a new computer (Windows 11) which had 2 other drives fitted, and because I now have several user accounts (administrator and default) in both windows versions.

Thank you so much! Following your steps worked. My issue was the Steam, EA and Epic Games Launchers including the Desktop Folder, getting a OneDrive sync error with the blue recycle logo on them. All fixed now, thank you :)

My dog spilled my orange juice all over my pc and I had to take it apart and clean it luckily it didn’t get on any important parts of my computer but it scared the shit out of me I reset my pc to make sure everything was working right and I just couldn’t play any games on steam because of this syncing issue I couldn’t find any other video that talked about this issue thank you so much. :)

It works, but I can't see how it's a good idea ot randomly add full permissions to an "everyone" group on the root directory of a computer. That seems to be inviting security issues. I'd suggest trying this on a spedciic \users folder, like the one with the actual sync isue, maybe?

Fix starts at 2:00 Create the "everyone" account and grant it Full Control the to files with sync issues.

After hitting "Apply" and hitting "continue" several times to the error messages, my PC tells me "Unable to save permission changes on Acer. Access is denied" and then I'm unable to move onto the next step. Any way around this?
