Heard the song was recorded extremely quick due to ferg’s tight schedule, also think they decided to simple it down a bit to appeal to US audience, might be why every1 isnt hooked to the song straight away.
It's been really interesting to see HP Boyz and now OneFour both release tracks that have a more "international vibe' to them via beat selection, auto tune, video editing etc.
Chazz one hundred percent agree with you on the fact the sound has changed for this song but what I’m sure you understand is a market that they haven’t fully broken into is the US and they have gone for that sound with this specific artist as they are giving the US audience what they like. A smart money move. Respect your reaction to this song bro but they were very smart to do this.
Oi hard out you’re not wrong in what you’re saying, this isn’t the boys best track but it’s a massive step in things internationally. That also doesn’t mean people are going to go check out their other stuff. Look at when chip had a song with Chris brown and not much changed for him
I feel you about not being sure about the melody kind of music for ONEFOUR i was pretty hesitant upon first few listens but trust brudda, it grows on you. This right here is a banga no two ways about it
The "calling for pease, well u shouldn't of dissed us " line was aimed at youngn lipz because YL dissed them on an IG story then the next day he was apologising and asking for pease
2:46 ONEFOUR Mount Druitt 2770 x Rooty Hills 2766 x Section60 2760 x Hp Boyz VS 21 District Areas like Liverpool 2170 x Guildford 2161 x Cabramatta 2166 x Smithfield 2164 x Green Valley 2168 x Punchbowl 2196 x Auburn 2144 x Granville 2142 x Fairfield 2165 x Prairiewood 2176 x doonside 2767
tbh i know this is kinda an obvious statement but, J_emz and Spenny having that melody on their verse and on the hook was them showing that they can flow like that and have different styles. tbh I wasn’t feeling it on the first listen either but it grows on u.
Chazza I think you’re right, I think Jemz and Spenny adjusted to fit ferg and his American style. I can definitely notice a huge difference and I hope it isn’t all they put out after this. I kinda agree with it not being as hard as usual. Who knows how it’ll go? Also imma try listening to the song a couple times over and see if it grows on me
I’m Australian and I’ve been using the word steezy since young but that’s only because I grew up skateboarding and it’s a common term there, I think it is probably American originally.
Your right, Onefour talking bout 21 District. But more towards peepz like youngn lipz for dissing there crew then calling for peace after getting caught outside a mall 🤦♂️🤦♂️. Mad respect to Onefour 💯
This is why I fcuk with you man! Because I felt the exact same about it.. I mean I’m going to still listen to the song and who knows I might feel differently about it then. But right now I’m the same as you, I don’t know how I feel about the versus. But anyways congrats OneFour 🙌
"And that just shut down everything I just said"😂 spoke too soon my ba I was hoping you didn't pause and let it play past that bar so you didn't have to explain your 2cents that didn't go thru 😂😂much love bro Fave Reaction
Broke it down well my man,a transition period for the boys, this was solid but they've done solid already, definitely a rise above in the exposure stakes, lets see where they go from here...
Totally agree with chazz. They changed up a little but understandable they have to apeal to a wider market now, the U.S being a big influence on this track but still, notbehd.. Uploading soon :)
Aight, here's my stance on it. I love when artists are versatile and do different shit, i can respect this track on the fact that their sound is different to anything they've done. If an artist keeps coming with the same kind of tracks then i get less hyped to listen to their new songs, like "oh onefour dropped a new track.. it's gonna be some hard drill shit with heaps of energy, I'll listen to it later...." Which is why when this track and Welcome to Prison are fire. It kept me engaged like "aight, whats this new track gonna sound like?"
I wreckon you would've liked YP on it, cause he usually goes in with his bars , it's still a mad reaction and I can tell your still interested in OneFour mad love 💯
Steez definitely an American term brother we use it a lot over here though, I think it’s a New York thing as rappes such as Joey badass and capital steez (rip) popularised the saying.
With the asking for peace bar was about younglipz asking for peace. Also that auto tune was a diss copying younglipz style and said fuck that. Catch the Diss lads🤞🏼
"Reaching out for peace but shouldnt of dissed us". I'm pretty sure it's referencing youngn lipz as he called lekks and yp pussies, then later backtracked it saying he didn't wanna go back to his old ways
at first when i heard this I was like what the heck, like props for doing sometnhing different again and this is why there are levels. they did this so well and once it grew on me i realised how complex the whole thing actually was. this track made me realise that i thinks penny 14 has the best DELIVERY in the whole game. the whole game. he is so unique and in the pocket in such a strange way. His concepts of flow, timing and speed are brilliant as though he has had training. as for chazza, go run ups the tunes! pennies was litskeees, that chicks voice omg anyway peace out western sydney stand up
