Physical only. Don't hold it don't own it. At any point in time anything digital can be taken.

I do agree with that statement but I also feel a mixture of both is smart too. It’s just another useful tool to get exposure to precious metals. Yes physically owning it is great but also not good to just keep it all in one place.

@@phillippalermo3197true because it is insured and APMEX is very legit! I like to own physical as well but there are extra steps to take to protect it. Buy a safe and a gun. You don't want anyone knowing u have Oz's of gold laying in your house. That can be as bad as the app crashing or getting shut down. So it goes both ways really

I do love physical metal, I carry an oz on me at all times. Never know when ur gonna need some extra cash, and I love to just look at it. But I will say I've bought from APMEX before and there are trustworthy. I'm going to invest. Cyber metals feels more unreliable

so the spot price per the app at the time was $1,797.40 and you paid a price of $1,811.78, so you are still paying a premium, and on top of that they charge roughly 2% in fees as you did not get your full $50 in "gold". When you request physical possession of your gold what do you get sent? random gold bars? actual gold eagles? Is there a fee for shipping and/or a fee for withdrawing it from their vault? I'll stick with JM bullion and their military discount coupled with free shipping. I can pick exactly what I want and keep it locked up myself.

$30 spread for gold, but 50 cent spread for silver. Ridiculous

Gold or silver is a fantastic hedge against inflation especially in current events of late. That said unless I had the physical possession of said gold or silver I wouldn't trust anybody. Having it stored elsewhere is impotent especially if the government disallows precious metal ownership again and simply goes to these companies and takes your metals.

@@l.r.7505 precious metals dealers or simply trade with those who see the value of gold. That would be my answer. Back during FDR's day however he illegalized private ownership bought up all the gold then devalued the dollar, thus making the Federal government's gold reserves more valuable and screwing over the public. Realistically it's all been a hose fest since 1913 when we allowed the establishment of our central bank aka the Federal Reserve. It's owned by private interests. With names like Rothschild and so on.

I may be wrong, but I feel like they are going to take what they want anyway even from Bank of America, right? Just like they are going to take people's retirement and IRA accounts. They are very good at making up stupid rules for us so they can keep everything. It's all part of the plan to keep us terrified and in a low vibrational energy, instead of a Happy High Vibrational energy; where we can Manifest our desires.

I believe they charge extra fees if you want to keep Gold where you live. Maybe keep it at your office space. I'll look it up to see if things have changed. I hope so. It does make sense to keep it yourself. But as with all things in Life, if it's for your benefit and you're Not Rich, they hate that. The United States is a corporation. Your, I mean Our money is their money ... at least this is how they think. just sad
