First it now has a machined riser which puts this bow in line with other manufacturers CNC machined bow prices. The Oneida can be shot easily with fingers even without a finger tab and this bow can never have the string fall off the cams due to finger torque as the string is attached exactly like a recurve bow so it cant "blow up" like a normal compound bow due to you flexing the string and running it off of the cams. You can use it for hunting or bowfishing and if shot with fingers its extremely quiet. Also this bow will shoot the arrows into the target an average of one inch deeper and the end result is more penetration on an animal when bowhunting. All in all Its an outstanding bow for target, bowfishing, 3D shooting and bowhunting and they last forever and look bad as Hades. What more do you want in a bow?
You added all these "new" features and made the price off the grid., They have always had a large draw length range, and if you take care of the equipment nothing will rust . I have owned Oneida for almost 40 years, The sad part is NO BOW is worth what we have to pay now.
Easy finger draw, smooth let-off, quiet, very reliable, machined riser, and used for both hunting and fishing. You really can't ask for more! Well maybe an ambidextrous bow in the near future? I shoot both left and right and recently started practicing Thumb draw (Mongolian draw), so maybe a bow for that application as well. And PRICING.
Do they have some sort of patent on this design because i can find it anywhere or other company that makes similar one??? Plz answer if you know cause i want one but thier price is hefty..
3ASY Beast it's a niche bow, no one else is doing this design because it's not nearly as efficient as a cam system. if you wanna be different get one, thats what they're good for. If you want speed and better reliability pick any other bow. I want one for my collection but i wouldn't use it in any 3d competitions.
Russell Pickett i actually hear its pretty well, ive heard of people going years with one, the origional designs like the eagle, but yeah.... its both so you get a swiss army knife but those arent as good the screw driver since they are shrunk....
Ok,ok Now lets talk what We want! The Bow was meant for Fingers and Instinctive Shooting but some way You went down the path for short and trigger realise which means also Your going to need sights. Bunch of Crap!! What We want is a New Oneida Pro! With deflex Riser and a high Grip . long enough for forgiveness (shooting Raw Fingers) not loaded with drilled Holes for gadgets! Camo with a matching Quiver! And remake the Starhunter Rest ! Thats All You need!!! Bow, Quiver, Rest, arrows! Now thats BOWHUNTING!
I don't understand. Why are you saying that it's not suitable for use without sights? I am considering to buy this and to use it with the traditional fingers (thumb release) and without any sights.
Oneida only sells expensive bows in right handed models. They don’t care about younger people or those who can’t afford to spend a lot of money on a bow. They don’t even care about left handed archers. I’ll never buy one of their bows for these reasons. Never.
Maybe they didn't in the past, but I saw them for left handed folks too. Regarding the price, high quality stuff costs a lot. That's normal. Complaining about it its like accusing Mercedes of not making cheap cars. Well, if they did, it wouldn't be Mercedes anymore.
