Right now there's not much separating Google's top-tier Pixel 7 Pro from the flagship killer that is the OnePlus 11. So let's see how they stack up against each other, and as always we'll see that there's a clear winner -- at least for me.

Actually it's 23w wireless charging with pixel stand and reverse wireless charging and at least the battery on the Pixel should last more being under less stress while charging. I had to change a few usb ports on my phones, last one was a OnePlus 7 pro due to them being loose and not charging reliably another advantage of wireless charging the usb ports will last more

The best use case for wireless charging is passively charging your phone throughout the day because it charges slow. Plus this kind of charging can wreck batteries over time. 80W-100W charging eliminates the need for that by charging up to 50% in 10 minutes, so it's a net win in my book.

What US reviewers don't understand while talking about the wireless charging not being there on the OP 11 is that the US isn't even a primary market to OnePlus or Oppo. Their major userbase is in India, China & South-east Asia....and based on feedback received from those users, warp charging is more a priority than slow wireless charging...I think this a good move from OnePlus to save on cost and give the end user a more affordable smartphone

Ye his bias is showing clearly. He can prefer whatever he wants but cant deny the fact that the tensor g2 chip even gets outclassed by a 2 yr old snapdragon 888. Totally unacceptable performance for a flagship in 2023. If pixel 7 pro wants to do the reverse One Plus thing, focusing on camera instead of performance it needs to be in the same price bracket too.
@murph8411
@murph8411 Год назад
The pixel 7 pro is available for less where I am. Just recently Amazon here had it for 660 plus 125 trade in bonus on top of whatever your trade iin old phone was valued at. The Oneplus was 729 for the 8gb 128 ufs 3.1 version or 799 for the 256 ufs 4 version with a 100 trade in boost plus whatever your phone was valued at (usually a bit less than from Amazon). A difficult choice especially if you’re not likely to play games and will rely more on the ai or are in a country like the US where the extra pixel features work. Wireless charging is a big thing for lots of people. No plugging in and out and worrying about damaging your plug and socket, just lay the phone on a charging pad as you go about your business and/or during the night.
@om0068
@om0068 Год назад
Every category? Pixel cameras are way more advanced than what he showed. Their tensor G2 cheap can do much more than any other phone. We can say it's over safest and smartest phone with one of beautiful software experience. Where as for OnePlus software experience is ruined completely by Oppo. Pixel also has IP68 which is very important now a days. Can afford damaging phone with water if it's that expensive. What else extra you need in a phone?

Nice video but, a little off base when it comes to the charging. First off, wireless charging is something that OnePlus only offers in their pro variance. They have never offered it in their base unit or later in the year in their tea variant. However, this year OnePlus is not manufacturing a pro variant. Instead, they have elected to get back to their roots by manufacturing flagship killers rather than a pro flagship. That is why they have dumped so much technology into the 11 and included a quad HD display. To that end, this video is a lot like trying to compare an Apple to an orange. Specifically, the OnePlus 11 is a flagship killer and the Google pixel 7 Pro is a flagship. As far as I'm concerned, wireless charging is nothing more than a gimmick. Why would I care about having wireless charging when I can have 80 watt fast charging? By definition, a flagship killer pairs away gimmicky features such as wireless charging in favor of processing speed, advanced memory and incredible charging technology. Combine that with amazing build quality and offer it at a lower price than the competition and you have a true flagship killer. Obviously, this kind of a device is mostly geared towards the superuser.

I have a Pixel 7 Pro and I have had 5 Oneplus phones for years. Not one of them got slowER after a year of use. The longevity of Oneplus phones is unmatched. They have ufs 4.0 storage, ddr5x, more ram, an X3 core, not x1 like the GTensor2... The Pixel is a smarter phone, not a faster phone, especially not in the long run. Oneplus software, even with this OPPO bullshit, is imo not likely enough to decompensate the faster hardware

The best use case for wireless charging is passively charging your phone throughout the day because it charges slow. Plus this kind of charging can wreck batteries over time. 80W-100W charging eliminates the need for that by charging up to 50% in 10 minutes, so it's a net win in my book.

OnePlus 11 has nothing to fear here. I would only choose the Pixel 7 if the camera was my top priority. Honestly, this whole "software experience" thing is corporate garbage, because it feeds into the idea that it's something important and that company A does a subjective thing objectively better than company B. I just don't agree with this idea. OnePlus 11 wins because of its superior performance and battery. It also comes at a cheaper price and has global availability by its side. I like how tech reviewers don't apply the global availability caveat when it comes to Western made phones.

I do like some of the exclusives the pixel has and there's no reason they don't allow one device assistant and speech recognition like they promised because it's not all down to npu chips because they were supposed to bring it to earlier pixels. Their bread and butter is search so thats a cheap dk move. OnePlus 11 with a good gcam is probably the easy winner plus pixel palm rejection is terrible.

The pixel I had, I sent back for a refund due to one thing: I could not charge in my car, in airports, trains, from battery packs, or using other peoples chargers. Google don't even sell a charger on their homepage (In Denmark) for their own phone, and only one out of aprox. 20 chargers I have could charge the phone. The "Connected but not charging" message on the Pixel is a ..major malfunction !! On the other hand Oneplus.. (sic..) I have 8t and seriously it works, camera is terrible, but charging is fantastic !! but the super phones they made in ol' days like One plus 3 for where serious a bargain at that time. nowadays it is just a phone that charge really fast :) on the other hand, what is it worth you have the best camera phone on the market ( Pixel no doubt) if you have no power..??.. and cant charge it anywhere.. then it's a brick !
