Actually it's better than advertised if I'm being honest so on days when I'm using it heavily I get around 14 hrs from 100 to 0, plus it literally charges in 15 mins so either way you won't lose
like magic...i was wondering whether to wait for the new batch of phones in january or if it was worth it go get the oneplus 12 or xiaomi 14 ultra now halfway through the year and this showed up in my recommended
The smoothest phone in the market today. OnePlus 12's UI is smooth as silk, the animations are superb and the fluidity is mind blowing.... I love their File Dock in particular that helps with productivity. Moreover, its StrongBox security engine helps keep data secure providing military grade security.. very happy with OnePlus this time
I just bought them 800$ today price little bit high in eastern Europe..... absolutely loving it ....why I am not waiting for 13 ? 13 probably more expensive...and 12 is already good for the price ...but 8 gen 4 is pretty powerful 50% up in antutu score...and around 20-30% on cpu and gpu score
Camera is a weak point. Design is subjective, but the camera module on this is butt ugly and makes you look like a nerd (i am a nerd btw). Pixel 8/9 Pro are the better pick
I've been using mine since February and it's silky smooth. In fact, I feel it's gotten even better with updates. Literally, I have zero complaints. I chose to purchase mine in silky black. In addition, I outfitted it with the OEM aramid carbon fiber bumper case and a blacked out tempered glass camera lens protector by Z-King. It gives my 12 a blacked out carbon fiber race car look. Personally, I prefer the curved glass. It looks far more premium but, it also makes the device more ergonomic. Flat slab phones and their endless right angles lack ergonomics and are more difficult to hold.
I have had this OnePlus 12 for 4 months now and always leave it on max screen resolution with often heavy daily onscreen usage/time and never have I had any sort of battery issues, always end each day on around 35 to 40 % battery, it’s honestly a beast with the battery performance and overall hands down one of the best phones I have owned, incredibly happy to have and use this phone as my daily driver, for the money easily one of the best out there to date.
PS. AI features are coming in a future update. In fact, the Chinese variance have already received them. Personally, I could care less about AI. Currently, AI features that are available on other devices are rudimentary at best. Thus, come back and talk to me in a couple of years about AI. That will give the technology time to develop properly.
Great review and agree with the updates, i think Vivo provide and update than make front camera to run in 4k 60, and i was waiting for OnePlus 12 to have a similar update, but nothing so far, as i get the Chinese version but Global rom, esim is inactive, so yes there is a few things that can be better
OnePlus prioritizes hardware specifications over software, although its devices are fast and smooth. In contrast to Pixel phones, which experience feature drops during the Android cycle. While waiting for the next Android update may be necessary for some users to access new software features, many prioritize speed, performance, and battery life, making OnePlus an attractive alternative.
This phone was criminally slept on bcuz everyone was hell bent on AI .. the battery life on this phone was better than the three so called flagships with a solid performance ..
AI should be an app you add on after the fact. Gemini, copilot, I have no use for them now... But maybe I will! Want me to use it? Don't force me to buy into a product for it lol, the gaming market's already picked up on the potential on free to try, but pay for premium market.
Love the hardware for sure ❤, but I'm using a pixel currently and am afraid I would miss all the AI stuff. Any advice on this? Has anyone moved out of the AI stuff and found they can still get most of it done via separate apps. (Candidly I use Gemini and Chat GPT mostly)
I purchased and went through S24U, OP12, Xiaomi 14, Honor Magic V2 back to S24U and now finally back to OP12!! Btw I got the OP12 second time round for £674 with discounts.
@@ArgiMarcin don't need S Pen. Don't like One UI. Very boring. Similar features with a OnePlus but OnePlus cheaper. Having said that, I returned OnePlus 12 and got OnePlus Open lol
Right? On paper it should be a great phone but in some ways it feels like it's just tired. Specially the camera which lags like crazy in video. My dad it rocking my old OP 3T and even though it is a slower phone, it feels closer to day one performance than the 8T which had a very short honeymoon faze
@@theJCanimations I've had to reset this phone to keep it half functional more times than any phone I've EVER had. Also, I didn't realize how much I would hate 20:9 aspect ratio, when my previous phones were 16:9. It's literally USELESS screen space. 18:9 is pretty much perfect for smartphones. I'm not saying 16:9 is the only useful aspect ratio, because it's more of a tablet ratio. But 18:9 is kinda a sweet spot in my opinion. My previous phone was a galaxy s7. I 'upgraded' in 2020 after all those years. I didn't realize just how much I would miss the simplicity of that device.
