@@tsugikuniyoriichi22interesting, I've definitely been thinking about making the move over to OnePlus. I've had 1 phone buy OnePlus and it was a little outdated but it was a pretty dope phone for being out dated. Now I have the s24 ultra it's meh. I love curved displays, the one plus 12 seems like an absolute beast! Just hesitant due to software, not really familiar with the OS, also I'm totally invested in Samsung's ecosystem.
Is there a ton of advertisements through out the phone??? I had a Red magic phone last year and RU-vid and google had a lot more ads then my current Samsung phone. IM looking at getting a OnePlus 12 but after my last Chinese phone I'm hesitant in buying a new Chinese phone.
Just bought this phone and I'm in love 🥰 Came from an aging Galaxy S10 that was still running Android 12 lol. The OnePlus 12 is the banger phone of the year imo. The price for the specs and quality user experience just can't be matched by ANYONE else. The HAPTICS, oh man, the haptics are such an underrated feature that nobody talks about. They feel sooo crisp! There are sooo many ways to customize things to your liking, I like it a lot better than the Samsung UI I'm coming from so far.
This is VERY helpful for new users. Personally, I change the power button function to turn off like every other normal phone. I also use swiping three fingers to screencapture almost daily.
The sleek design, powerful performance, and cutting-edge features make it an absolute must-have for any tech enthusiast. The improved camera system and lightning-fast charging are game-changers for me. Owning this phone would be a dream come true!
I really love my Oneplus 12. It's fast, UI is smooth as silk, its Trinity engine is the best in the industry for smoothness, absolutely no bloatware, works like a beast with all the multitasking I do on it, great display with good visibility outdoors, excellent RAM management, superb battery backup that lasts all day and has never let me down. Strongbox engine 3.0 keeps my confidential data secure and gives me peace of mind. Camera is decent too, works for my purpose. I own the Galaxy S23 ultra as well but use OP 12 as my primary phone as I absolutely love it!
tell me please, does OnePlus 12 have light indicator for missed calls, messages, charging etc. And if so, are they different colors for different events or only one ?
If you're on a 2-day business trip and you forget your charger you can shut the phone off at 10:00 at night and wake up at 6:00 a.m. just before your 6:30 a.m. alarm
I was specifically looking for option for swiping down from top (once) to enter toggles instead of swiping down twice. Like I could have from my galaxy.
I have already bitten the bullet & ordered OP 12 device. I am really worried about missing One hand Operation + feature from OneUI. Do you know anything similar in OxygenOS? Planning to use edge gestures to emulate that feature but Two items which I feel are difficult to replicate will be Quick Tools & pop-up widget used through One hand Operation +
You'd think a regular screenshot would be 3 fingers touch and hold, since its just a screenshot of the current image on screen, and the Scrolling Screenshot would be the 3 fingers swipe down since you are doing a scrolling movement 🤔
I would say you have "better" customisation on oneUI because of Samsung Goodlock (AI generator). But personally I prefer OxygenOS. It's clean, has many nice gimmicks and can do like everything but the AI stuff (for now, OnePlus already announced there will be an air update in near future)
Personally prefer One UI simply because you can do SO MUCH MORE. But Oxygen OS is very light and it gets the job done. Its a no nonsense OS that's snappy.
I got this phone just yesterday and display colors look washed compared to my 6yr old OP6. Have already set phone to Vivid from Display settings, turned off eye comfort/nature tone settings and it still looks washed. Any idea about this?
Thank you for these tips. Would you know why the home page only allows half of the page to get filled with apps, unlike the rest of the pages? With my one plus7T, I could position apps wherever I wanted. Also, how can I change the image of the screen lock? Not the regular background wallpaper
With my otg toggle off my pendrive attached to an otg still worked and that option greyed out , so in short otg feature toggle on or off doesn't matter , what is point of it
WoW Great video!! Thanks What is the best way to Hear or See when a text comes in!! I wish my sounds would be like a phone call and continue until I answer the text... It's my one and biggest complaint for my new OP12!!! Thanks
I love my OP 12 but I have a question that I haven't gotten an answer for. I noticed that the red cables with this phone and the wireless charger appear to be thicker. I have several older of the red cables from my other OP phone, and I was wondering if they can be used to charge the phone without doing damage? Thanks in advance for any answers, I appreciate it.
The power wire inside the cable is most likely thicker to handle the amount of amps it puts out. I'm not sure if regular USB can handle that, unless the charger or phone can tell the gauge of the cable connected to so it can limit the power.
they offer many things except what people need most: repeating notification light. So that edge light does not come up just once for a few seconds which is too often overlooked, but would come up again every 10, 15 seconds or so. There are so many complaints about this for over 4 years already and OnePlus is completely ignorant.
great IOS and phone, I got rid of my Samsung Ultra 21 just after I year because its missing the logic and customization. One thing I can't find, where do I adjust the time when the screen locks. I don't like the screen always locking, I would love to set it to 20 minutes. Samsung was also limited max time was 10 min
Absolutely nothing... The phone has a tech that helps heat escape from the phone not just from the back but the front too so it never really ever gets hot
None. It has a vapor chamber to dissipate excess heat and it works well. FYI, I am from India and the daily temperature is like 37 degrees celsius. But phone remains cool.
This is the only one plus device I will recommend the one plus 11 came close but with the galaxy s23 ultra being out it just wasn't it but now with the s24 ultra being the exact same phone as the 23 with updated chip set this phone for a portion of the price is the way to go. The battery lasts forever and the innovative features as well as the customization is amazing with the one plus 12 highly recommend it over any other android phone for sure
1- any options for fixing the terrible color display? mine is awful looks faded or washed out 2- any options making it posiible to use usb c headphone wire? i dont wanna turn on OTG everytime my phone is idle for 10 min thanks
Press power button and volume up button simultaneously and you will get the option to turn it off. Or else in settings you can type power and it will take you to a section where you can customise the function of power key. By default it is set to google assistant, select the other option to get power menu by pressing the power button
Thank you for deep diving into the features of this OS! This is the most helpful video on the OP12 I've seen. The aesthetic and simplicity of the Android UX combined with the utility and customization of OxygenOS are what have kept me holding onto my 7 Pro, and you're the first creator I've seen to confirm the OP12 kept the features that make Oxygen stand out from the rest. This phone is sick.
The only thing that drives me nuts about this phone is that side bar apps open in a floating window and not full screen. I hate that. Also, Android Auto requires you to go into developer settings to make it work.
On my OnePlus 12 the recents gesture didn't work. I swipe up it says freed up space etc but when I open the recents again the apps are still there. Any solution?
I'm all the way back at the OnePlus 8t and have an option as high as 5x6 layout, so I don't think they would have changed that and maybe even increased it
I think they put all this customization just to stop u from using root but u still going to use it cuz u don't wanna pay a lot of dollars every month or year for social media apps to get premium experience with all features and without ads also if you're a bad person u can cheat in games almost without catch only if u play like hack that's your problem not the tool or the root also with root u can change your location externally and internally no app going to know your real location even system apps plus u can get new features in the future it wasn't including in the phone also u can get new softwares with new security patch level and all that for free so u going to unlock the bootloader anyway OnePlus stop tired yourself we going to use root anyway
yes, it even has system clone feature which basically allows you t o use a different fingerprint to log in another "profile" lets say, where by default you dont have any apps installed or settings changed, cool feature but it will drain your battery more.
With Battery Saver Mode, with ONLY 25 minutes of Screen Time, it went from 79 % to 72% just texting or scrolling around-nothing intense. Draining too fast? Did another test from 80% to 23% with only 3H 34 min of Screen Time, what is going on?
While it is a great phone One+ in my opinion made 3 major misguided "improvements" 1. as you said the curved screen is lame and dated. Makes the phone impossible to hold without the bumper case (which should be included with the phone). 2. moving the volume button to the right side. WHY? now hit power button when trying to volume down. STUPID! and 3. UNLESS I AM MISSING SOMETHING - WHAT IN THE HELL DID THEY TAKE AWAY NOTIFICATION LIGHTS WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF FOR? THIS IS A KEY FEATURE FOR ANY DAMN PHOINE. THIS SIMPLE LITTLE FEATURE IS SUPER IMPORTANT! i MEAN WHAT THE HELL? SO IF I LEAVE MY DESK AND COME BACK - I NOW HAVE TO PICK UP MY PHONE TURN IT ON AND CHECK TO SEE IF I MAY HAVE MISSED SOMETHING NO LITTLE BLINKING LIGHT? THIS WAS ALMOST A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME I WAS SERIOUSLY CONCIDEREING RETURNING IT - TOTALLY F'ED UP ON THIS ONE+....
100% true, however I heard you can use a side app for creating this light from pixels of your screen, like around the front camera whole. not sure if it works fine though. Double tap for turn on/off screen is another crucial feature for me and luckily it's there.
