*The ONE feature i'm referring to in the title is the battery life! I should've made that more clear in the video. I own both the S23 Ultra and Iphone 15 Pro Max, and the Oneplus 12 outlasts them both as far as battery. Most days I'm hovering 70% at the end of day. Throw in 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, and there's almost ZERO "downtime" An experience I've never really had*
I already pre-ordered. I use a IPhone 15 PM as my daily driver but I love android and wanted secondary android phone. It was between OP 12 and S24 Ultra. I went with OP because it has everything I want and I saved around $600
Honestly I'm so happy you put this comment in because this is exactly the reason I give behind using one plus. Yes they gotten expensive but their top models are still half the price if other flagships. With arguably more competitive (camera) to better (charging) features
i OWN the violet s24 ultra haven't opened it. i also have (had?) the bay blue pixel 8 pro and traded it away for the flowy green oneplus 12. like i said i haven't opened my s24 ultra yet. i'm waiting for my oneplus 12 to come at the end of february. and luckily i ordered it NOW, as ALL models and colors of the oneplus 12 are currently sold out as of 2/11/24
Those were my 2 choices as well, OP12 and S24U. I was coming from a S22U so naturally I wanted the S24U, but being a OP user in the past, and loving their phones so much, seeing what they did with the OP12, and for $600 like you said (traded in my S22U), I couldn't pass up that deal. I got my OP12 two days ago and I've loved it so much. A few small bugs but nothing future updates can't fix.
One of the main reason I love about oneplus above all its other features is the battery life and fast charging... This for me.. stands out above all other phones❤
Almost 100% of the US population has no flippn clue about fast charging because Samsung Apple and Google are screwing them senseless. Fast charging tech has been the standard with every Chinese company for 3 Years now. I won't by a phone without it
In fact, I've been using the OnePlus 11 since last febuary and I absolutely love it. Still, I require two devices so, I did decide to pre-order the 12. It looks amazing and like a refined version of my 11. I can't wait to get it in the next week or two.

It's difficult to go back to slow charging. I got my realme gt2 pro almost 2 years ago and have been enjoying fast charging from it. Every time I plug in my pixel 7 I just shake my head at how slow it is.
I know exactly what you mean. I went from the OnePlus 9 Pro to Pixel 7 Pro. I love the camera but do miss the fast charging. I may hop back to OnePlus. ..🤔
@@doudymac I wouldn't even hesitate. The OnePlus 12 is so ridiculous. Oh and speaking of fast charging it comes with 100 watt tech that is insanely fast and it's a dedicated US network phone so you'll get full 5G on both CDMA and GSM.
💯💯 Once you get spoiled by import fast charging there's no going back. I don't care how good the phone may be I simply have no time or use for a device that takes an hour to charge.
Like you I mainly use my phone for making phone calls, texting, watching RU-vid or Netflix and Prime. It’s so refreshing to watch a review that gets straight to the point and doesn’t bombard us with technical jargon that just ends up melting my brain so thank you for that! I’ve been a oneplus phone user for a long time and I’m currently using the fabulous oneplus 7 Pro but I’ve just pre-ordered my oneplus 12 and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. @@aarkestraclub326 Front camera is decent, nothing extra ordinary, manages the colors and exposures quite well and after taking the shot, hassleblad does its job quite well in maintaining the colors and skin tone . primary rear camera is awesome , excellent details in both primary and ultrawide. lens shifting is a bit jittery but an update can fix that. coming to the main highlight which is the periscope camera lens, it will literally blow your mind, excellent quality and details with awesome edge detection, no complaints at all. overall op12 camera is serving me beyond my expectations. but if camera is only your main priority, vivo x100 does perform better than op12.
CNET is a channel I've subscribed to from the beginning. But they kiss up to Apple, Samsung, and Google when it comes to phones and tech. Recently, their video review of the OnePlus 12, saying it isn't worth buying because the camera's and software upgrades aren't as good as Google Pixel, Apple iPhone or the Samsung Galaxy Ultra. They like the idea of getting five or more years of OS and security patches is great and that all companies should provide that. I hold on to my phone for at least three to four years before buying a new one. But I don't like holding onto old tech for years. Also, I wish they take a step back when they compare to higher end companies like Apple, Samsung and Google. I'm a consumer who doesn't have a lot of money to spend. I don't like owning small phones with small batteries. Furthermore, I'm not going to buy 1k or higher phones just to get better quality. Which is why I end up buying budget phones around $500 or less.
I wouldn't worry about it. I actually learned how good it was from Mr. Whosetheboss. When they compare the One Plus 12 to the pro and ultra level devices just further proves how much it beats them for value. If they were to rightfully compare MSRP, I don't think there's any device in North America that comes close to what that The OnePlus 12 offers. There are no bad fundamentals with this phone it has everything the only thing lacking is the water resistance and that means nothing because we're not going to go swimming with it. Splash proof and still usable while the screen is wet is more than enough. I would highly recommend watching Juan Bagnell! He's a great reviewer as well.
Unfortunately, a lot of well known tech RU-vidrs do the same. I swear they do it just to appease the fanboys. The reality is that Apple and Samsung have gotten lazy over the past few years. Apple really needs to open iOS more and Samsung needs to start bringing back old features if they want to charge ridiculous prices. The only phones holding on to Samsung right now are their foldables. Google has a lot of potential with the Pixel, but they need to hurry up and switch to TSMC for their Tensor chip. The OnePlus 12 is probably the best OnePlus phone in years and it will be a worthy competitor to the big three.
@@smartphonefan5226 funny part iphone 15 pro max bugged on me and the screen got stuck. i used to own Samsung before but their phone also lags. OnePlus is the only phone I used that rarely glitches or lags like fr i only seeing it glitch 1 or 2 times in the whole 3 years. i used to own OnePlus 5 then OnePlus 7pro after OnePlus 9 pro. they never failed me i am planning to get OnePlus 12 idc about the camera as if i take photos if i need to take photos I'd rather get a professional camera Why do I need a phone to do that job?
Current OP8 Pro owner and I have been waiting for OP to regain their mojo. My OP12 is preordered (in black) and I can't wait. I liked the $100 preorder discount and I am trading in a working but old Motorola phone for another $100 off. I will be selling my perfect OP8 pro after I transition to the 12. I like how the 12 didn't bother with so much AI and just put the effort on the phone and its performance.
I pre-ordered the silky black version from Amazon and I can hardly wait to get my hands on it, I believe that the One plus 12 will look even better than One plus 13 due to the leaked photos so far, I could be wrong but I really hope One plus will keep their most likely signature design which sets their phones apart from other flagships even the ultra ones
Thank you for mentioning the correct wattage of the charger. Everyone is saying 100W it that's just not correct for the US version. I've talked with OnePlus customer service and they don't even recommend trying and using the 100W brick on this phone.
Rubbish, 100w charging is fine, I am very surprised a oneplus customer service advisor said they would not recommend a 100w charger,when they sell a 100w charger in Europe??

@@wakinguptothetruth.2566 I was just on the North American web site for 1+. they don't sell it with a 100w power brick, the items listed for in the box include an 80W Power Adapter.

Same sentiment. I have the s24 ultra but still prefer the 1+ mainly because of the larger battery and faster charging. All the rest in the phone is amazing as well.
Great simple review, I agree with and can confirm everything you said. After 4 days I am still shocked about the battery life and not having to charge everyday. I tried to run it down even reverse charging my earbuds and only got it to 34%. I used the gps to drive for an hour and when I parked 35 miles later the battery was 99 percent🤯. I am happy with my choice.
The battery life...sorry should've made it more clear. But yea, I own S23 ultra and Iphone 15 pro max and the battery life of Oneplus 12 surpasses them both in my opinion.

If your phone's still Functions as it should I don't see any reason to switch. If you're having issues then yea, maybe. I prefer Samsung Cameras but aside from the that the OP12 is a beast.
Hey ceo, which display looks better between the oneplus 12 and the 23 ultra? Also have you tried to listen to any Bluetooth devices to see if there's a difference between Bluetooth 5.3 vs 5.4?
I like the colors a little better on the ultra but the OP12 definitely does get brighter and has more dynamic range. I've haven't done much back and forth testing as far as the Bluetooth yet.
So it's been over a month now, decided to check in and ask how you liking the phone so far? Still running it as daily driver, or have you swapped to a different one? Looking to upgrade phone in the near future maybe so wanted to see how the small computers holding up.
I ordered the S24 Ultra to checkout as well. I recently put the OP12 down simply to get a feel for the S24U. I now own a 15 Pro Max, S24 Ultra, & OP12....and unless you're deeply embedded in a specific ecosytem...Dollar for dollar the OP12 is DEFINITELY the way to go.
I have stayed with One Plus largely because of the superior charging speed; You really can't go back once you have experienced it. I just decided to upgrade from my 9 Pro which is still a fantastic phone, but I wanted that long battery life on the 12 along with other features, the Gen 3 and the video out. I also love One Plus Pro mode. While I usually have my pro cameras, I often take multiple test shots with my One Plus phone and I end up keeping and using some of those as the quality is high; you definitely want to use the pro mode.
The best feature of my s23 ultra is the system equalizer. It makes my iems sound way better. It has 9 bands (63, 125, 250, 500, 1k, 2k, 4k, 8k, and 16k). Does the Oneplus12 have this feature? Can you please check?
I wanted a green version. They only had black left... And thats already everything that disappointed me. The phone is really awesome. Stellar battery life and amazing performance. The downside of android is that no banking stuff doesnt work where i live but thats not Oneplus fault but our banks. Do love it
I have the oneplus 10pro myself, I am definitely upgrading to the oneplus 12, firstly 12 has a much better battery, brighter screen, much faster chip ie the 10 pro has the snapdragon gen 1, I personally prefer the hole punch in the centre of the screen on the 12, 10pro has it to the left, face id is much better with the hole punch in the middle, I also prefer the volume rocker on the right ie on the 12, the 12 has faster charging in the uk anyway it has,the 10pro has 80w, the 12 has 100w, the 12 has a better camera than the 10 pro, more years of software and security updates on the 12, 10 pro only has one year software updates left ie android 15, and 2 years left security updates. Where as the 12 will go to android 18 and 5 years security updates. so all these reason are why I will be upgrading to the 12, no brainer in my opinion to be honest.

The charging and the cooling solution is really impressive in this phone. Shame on any brand that still doesn't do something similar on their next flagship. This is the way.

@@jaskiratsinghbuttar I see. I remember when I used the first curved display phone, the LG Velvet, I purchased a good quality phone cover (only covering the back). It has raised protection around the whole bezels area to protect the curved screen. My attempts to stick a screen guard had failed because it obviously wouldn't stick around the edges. So I discarded it and was able to use the phone without a single scratch with just the good quality back case for a whole year. In the few cases the phone had fallen, the case protected the screen very well. But if there's a curved screen protection now in the market, it's worth a research. I'll come back and leave a comment here if I find one.
i looked on amazon and there are seemingly glass screen protectors that curve with the display, but im not too sure if those are actually like that and wont be sure until i receive my oneplus 12 and buy those
So are you an iPhone user at all? This is my first video of yours. The reason I ask is that I am an iPhone user but also really love Android too. What I want is an Android that’s smooth and fluid like iOS is and I’m a huge stoke android user and love the pixel phones but have been scared of the Tensor chips that they are using. I really don’t like Samsung and the one UI that they transitioned to. I feel like Motorola has made a super nice UI also Sony has too. So I’m looking in the $400-$500 range for an android that has a stockish look and feel, what would you recommend for an individual like myself? Btw great content man!
Thank man. I have an Iphone 15PM, but its mainly for testing and comparison purposes. It's never been my true daily driver. Oneplus is also coming out with the Oneplus 12R which ranges from $499 - $599 depending on specs. That might be a good one to consider. I just got it in, but haven't been able to test it out just yet. I'll definitely be doing a video on it, though.
I have the one plus 12 and I got the wireless charger with my order. I have to ask, as the plug comes with 100W charging, is it worth buying the wireless charger that has 50W (half than the plug) for the oneplus 12? This is what I am debating because why have the wireless charger of 50W If the plug itself can do 100W? I see US has 80W but in UK I recieved 100W.
Bro orderd this phone a week ago. And they lost my package. Im been calling with the delivery company dor days now. To fix the problem. I should have had this phone 4 days ago. I went to order the s24 ultra. But a few days before i went to order it. I came acros youtube vids of the oneplus 12. And it was a no brainer to pick the oneplus 12.
im not sure i would say im not the proper person to test phones as i am a casual user ( your are shooting yourself in the foot as if you say something like this then companies will not consider you in the future to test phones in this case ) , 2 . i did not have time to test the camera - you are essentially saying you did not give it enough importance to dedicate the time to do a proper review ( it may back fire also ) . Love the color grading and audio of this channel. I think this video could have been condensed to 5 min, not sure how many watched the whole thing.
Id sacrifice ir blaster for headphone jack, literally the only thing thats stopping me from getting this and i dont really care about cameras, would've been the perfect phone for me but i need the jack.
you cant find flagships with headphone jacks nowadays, aside from gaming phones but those come with either a high af price tag or a lack of water and dust resist
The volume switch and power on the OnePlus 6 is gonna mess me up. 7 years I've had the OnePlus 6 with volume on the left and volume switch and power button the left.
what is the hole used for in the top right of the phone ?! i thought it was the sim opener, so i clinched the clip down the hole, and i have no idea what its used for - help
@@Kebobmeister I'm 99% sure it's one of the mic holes for stereo recording in landscape mode. It should be fine if you poked it with the sim ejector by accident, most phones have their mics off to the side of the hole to prevent damage in these situations.
hi, what if no "team" at all just a user hence owner one of those, and as far as my experince go the battery is erratic and uneven, sometimes this could be about 7hrs sot and after next full charge only about 4hrs, i do like this phone a lot but 5400mAh does not live up to its number at all..
I got OnePlus 12 for 450usd after the trade-in offer on OnePlus 8T! I'm happy that I cancelled the pixel 8a 256gb which was also 450usd after trade in!
I have a LG V60 and the battery was amazing but now ot is dwindling, I didn't want to go to Samsung because 1 is the price and 2 the batteries over time dwindle faster and there always has a bunch of BS running in the background. I just saw this One Plus amd so far I am impressed with everything but the camera might be only thing I would be leary about compared to Samsung.

No matter how much u hate OnePlus or oxygen os or its camera, u cant deny and probably OnePlus is best in - Battery life, charging speed, performance, gaming, multi-tasking, display, heat management.. in other words they provide the best hardware at a perfect price. Proud owner of OnePlus 11 ❤
