⬇️ Comment below ⬇️ Which device is the best value for money? Are these the phones to beat this year? ⬅️🤔 ** Correction - Only OnePlus 7 is Gorilla Glass 6, Pro model is GG 5 👍
REDMI K20 PRO. Xiaomi gone all guns blazing this time. The best value for money phone at this point. The real Flagship killer. (not a Xiaomi fan but they did something out of the universe this time.)
@@DaddyjeeFF the k20 pro is a better phone in most aspects than the regular 7, but the 7 pro is a better phone than the k20 if money doesn't come into it off you.
@@leonidjoseph5483 you're totaly wrong. GG3 was on my last phone and it was fucked up. on my op6 rn it has almost no visible scratches. ( i do preserve well my devices
I got the 7pro and I absolutely love it! Ive been working some overnights lately and basically just sit there so we're allowed on our phones or to read etc, and it definitely helps me not be bored and binge Netflix all night😂 It's an amazing device and plan on keeping it a long time
Have been seeing the OnePlus 7 ever since it's release. I miss the features it packs and those missing in my 6. Dual speakers, better battery and the in-display FPS. Yeah, I wish the 7 had a wide-angle lens too. Great comparison video btw. 👌
@@pathumtharindu1755 the display is probably the best out so far but im sure Samsung working on that with their new phone to drop later this year. Yes the phone is heavy but in a good way to me Having the OP6 switching to the 7Pro was a noticable difference in weight. But after a few days you'll forget about it. To me the weight makes the phone feel more premium and feels like it can take a few drops. I don't think you'll have a problem with it unless you have small hands
@@ldfrazi I'm going to do the same switching from OP6 to Big brother 7 Pro in couple of days. How is battery life compared to OP6 ? Is it really worth the upgrade ? Thanks in advance brother 👍.
Excited to get my OP7 pro in the mail tomorrow and i really appreciate and thank you for all these reviews....but honestly I dont plan to ever watch a OP7 pro review once i own the damn phone and yet there are of ton of ppl in the comments who do...that's insane go do other stuff ppl now that you made up your mind and purchased a solid phone! The outdoors awaits!
I had a 6T which got stolen. Was looking at replacing it with another 6T but noticed that the price difference between the 6T and 7 was not so much (about $60USD) - which made me look at the 7 model. 7 vs 7 Pro .. Price difference was really my main factor. The 7 was cheaper (by $300USD). That difference is too much to ignore. I chose the 7 model based on many reviews including this video.
Loving my OnePlus 7 Pro. I've got small hands and have come from the 6T but I'm not finding much of a difference, thank goodness. I'm very happy to have a front facing speaker finally as I sit with the bottom speaker covered up half the time and I'm not finding battery usage too bad. It still gets me to bedtime, just with less battery than the 6T did. So actually makes no difference. Gorgeous piece of kit.
How do you find photos and videos quality? How do you find speakers quality and microphone as well? Hoping to know more from a daily user, before buying my next phone. Thx
@@truthbetold916 I hope someone who reviews phones for a living can tell if it's the factory installed screen protector or the main screen. A lot of them remove it right from the box. I never do because I have a perfectly installed screen protector already on
@@michaelfedorsha8147 you can not tell it's installed. It's not a temporary one. Check out Jerryrigeverything he dose a durability test and a teardown. You'll see
I bet he had the default screen protector that comes with the pro. I only realised when I found a scratch on it and realised a screen protector was on mine. Took it off and screen is amazing
I hope he knows those scratches are not on the screen. The phone comes with a screen protector already installed on it, as its so unnoticeable that you'd think its just the screen. A great touch from OP thats very overlooked.
Watching this on my oneplus 6. It was best phone i have used but perhaps time to upgrade and only with 7pro i should feel real upgrade. Oneplus 7 pro is real deal!
Is it OP7 or xiaomi mi 9 if you had to pick one? I'm swaying oneplus as the oxygen OS is meant to be better than the miui? Opinions? Another great video, thanks. Really helped me narrow down the choice for a new phone.
Hi! just purchased 7 Pro thru T-mobile, a week before the 7T was introduced , I'm running it with battery saver on, and still have 90htz med brightness until sundown then it goes into night mode, and tweaked the mode to make apps start even faster. I got at least a day and a half and by then still have 20% or more. and I'm heavy user, but for games. Nice review!
Coming from a Galaxy Note 8, I was really fed up with it's curved screen because of the wasted screen real estate. That along with the huge size make it quite impractical to use the 7 Pro as daily driver (I have large hands, but still). Got the regular OnePlus 7 yesterday and I'm totally loving it. The notch is the only thing that I don't like about this one. Typing from my OnePlus 7 mirror gray (8/256)
@@BALDO3 It's great.. Around 2 days of battery life with moderate usage (mostly social media, camera, RU-vid and some gaming, with WiFi always on). And the charging is pretty quick too. From an S6 edge, you'll definitely get the peace of mind of not worrying about the battery at all :)
I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro on launch day from T-Mobile. The T-Mobile variant does not come with the preinstalled screen protector. I didn't notice till the next day and went to go get one installed at my local T-Mobile store. When I got there, I noticed that my screen had scratches from my jeans. Nothing else in my pockets. The change pocket on my pants rubbed the screen and left quite a few scratches. Very surprising.
I like the more widescreen look of this video. But please be consequent and render it in that aspect ratio and not in standard 16:9. Now I have a black border everywhere on my 21:9 monitor.. Otherwise good video!
Great job! I can't get enough of your insightful reviews. I watch every single second of your videos, and they are worth my time. You've got a die-hard fan here!
I had a Huawei P30 Pro and it got broke. I am now considering which to buy of a new P30 Pro or the Oneplus 7 Pro. I saw the video you poster of the oneplus 7 pro with the gcam, and that made it even harder for me to decide. Which one would you recommend and why?
@@AbdullahFaizal hey, just the the occasional game of hearthstone really. Mainly music, web, maps, RU-vid, Facebook, I use my one plus 7pro for. Oh and stream the odd film on Netflix.
i just bought the 7 "normal" edition, im coming from a 3t that served me over 3years, and im totaly happy with how it workd, so the pro with special moving camera and stuff.. not my thing
The difference between portrait mode on the two phones is that the pro uses the telephoto lens, and on the 7 the 48 MP lens is used. The depth sensor is only a normal 5mp sensor, and doesn't sense depth by itself. Depth is determined by using the main and secondary sensor in conjunction to produce a stereo image to work out what is the foreground and what is the background. It's probably harder to use the pro for portrait simply because of the 3x zoom being used
Have you done a video on the OPPO Reno? I like the look of OP7, but I really want to find out more about the Reno and its camera, as the 10x zoom variant looks insanely good.
Got the regular, I had the 5. Mostly because of the smaller size and better battery life according to some tests. Also I didn't want to risk having a moving part. Couldn't be happier. Installed GCam, works like a charm. I miss the headphone jack, couldn't care less about IP rating or wireless charging :) nice video and nice job, OnePlus. Both phones are fantastic
Cheers for video mate... Ohhh I'm still undecided between the the oneplus 7pro and the Samsung S10... Specially since the s10 price went really down and so tempting with all its features against the 7pro.
Got the Oneplus 7pro and an XR. The quality of videos and pics on the oneplus are nothing compared to the XR. Oneplus needs to step it up on the camera side.
Can someone please explain how a phone is marketed with a 3x optical zoom, but in fact you can place your finger over the zoom lense and still take a picture? For the love of God someone explain
Great job, my friend. OnePlus 7 would be the one for me only because it's smaller. but I do like the Pro, too. They're going to have a G model too. Wow. Thanks for all this information, well done.
I'm getting a day and a half on a single charge with the pro. Just turn battery saver on and turn back on 90hrtz and QHD it don't effect my battery at all, and I'm heavy user, I'm not missing a beat with this phone I love it
Loved your review and your review style. You don't become mundane and boring in your videos and you tend to keep it real. (I hate reviews that sound like adverts) Anyway, I ordered a Pro model and expect to have it when I get off from work on the 22nd. What I am keenly interested in, if you have any are cases and screen protectors for the OnePlus 7 Pro.
For the price it's not just a good deal.. It's a stupid great deal. Just look look at the starting price of the budget iPhone XR $749.00 this one fully loaded tops out exactly at that same price.
Is the camera on oneplus 7T better than the camera on 7? since there's a difference of 8k in the prices now. Which one would be better for buying please suggest
I'm in doubt, between P30 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro. My biggest use is a photo. The fight between Huawei and the USA made the One Plus more interesting, but I do not know if I'm going to be disappointed.
I got the OnePlus 7 Pro on the day of release and i have to say it's the best phone i've ever used the all screen no notch 90hz display alone is worth the money and the lack of ip rating or wireless charging is no downside to me especially considering how fast wrap charing is. Anyone considering it as their next phone i highly doubt they'd be disappointed 👍
A great and honest review of both models. I like the piece of advice at the end "should you buy". I still feel they are expensive even more so considering that in the existing market you can get a 300 USD phone that will do most of the job. I very much like the 7 pro though and wish I had the cash.
You can usually get decent phones for 300 to 400 but for people the brand name is important so most people get apple or Samsung when they don't use half the features.
Zen mode is a big joke. You have such modes already since the begining on all smartphones. The modes are called "Power button" and "Internet data disabling". Depending on what you want, you can choose between turning of your phone completely or simply blocking the internet (like for social medias).
Returned the OP7 Pro for a regular OP7. Was a great decision. Curved screen was absolutely terrible; massive reflections and white bezels, not practical at all, gorilla glass 5 (OP7Pro) vs 6 ( OP7). Furthermore, the OP7Pro was clunky, thick and too large. Battery life on the OP7Pro with the 1440p 90hz screen was bad. Not to even mention that 90hz isn't really that noticeable, certainly not what some reviewers on YT claim.
Hi. Im from malaysiya. Here the price of 1+7 pro(8gb, 256gb) price is 3699rm where samsung S10plus price is 3195 rm (8gb, 128gb). Dont u think its not good for oneplus. For me if d price is like this anytime i will go for s10 plus without any doubt.
Oneplus One, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 7 Pro... That's my OnePlus history. I haven't had any other phones in between. The 7 Pro is the best phone I've ever had.
Anyone else experienced the scratches on the screen without using a protector? I am currently using a sony xperia for 4 years without screen protector and never had a scratch. Willing to switch to oneplus this thing worried me a little, thanks
Hi. What's your daily driver these days? You know somehow I'm still not entirely convinced with my Galaxy S9+'s selfie camera. appears bit washed out. Sharpness and contrast could be better. And the performance feels "sluggish" and buggy lately since latest update. Thoughts?
1:55 - The 7 Pro comes with Gorilla glass 5, rather than the somewhat standard Gorilla glass 6 found on the normal 7 model. This is primarily due to the curved screen, and is also the reason why OnePlus currently doesn't sell a screenprotector for the 7 Pro, but sells one to the normal version... Other popular stores such as Dbrand, sells their "Prism" screenprotector for the 7, but do not have plans to add one for the 7 Pro any time soon, which is a bummer. I'm sure you can find some cheaper 9H tempered glass for the 7 Pro on Amazon, but they're much lower quality, and mine on the 7 Pro already shattered when it encountered a table corner.
I'm waiting for my alomd to ship out. Replacing my Thunder Purple 6T. From what I've seen in the community app, they are definitely asking the right questions and that wife angle video has been approved and is. Urrently being worked out so yup. Can't wait to get mine in.
I don't do selfies, I don't play games, I don't go scuba diving with my smartphone, I do however take pictures, get lots of e-mails, messages, make and take lots of phone calls, use specific Apps that help me do my job more efficiently... This OP 7 Pro is exactly what I want in a phone... and the price is amazing for all that you get for it.
Hey ASBYT, so no one is talking water resistance of Oneplus 7 . So is it as good as oneplus 7 pro when it comes to water resistance, or do they differ ?
Great video! I wish you could say something else instead of "further ado"... why everybody is saying this now all the time? :-) Can you tell which is faster, the face unlock on the 7, or the fingerprint on the 7 Pro?
I prefer the look of the 7 without the pop up camera or curved edges. I would like the size of the pro though. Still using my OnePlus6 and I would have upgraded if they offered the trade in like last year.
