The distortion and shimmering water in the jug made the phone look like it was turning off constantly. I was so distracted. Thanks for watching! Is the OnePlus 7 what you hoped for? Is it too expensive for what it is?
@JohnReviewer112 well for a "single take" video to be seen legit, there must be no cuts made in the video. Dave's have cuts, so we have no way to verify that the video is indeed shot in a single take, even if it's true. Not hating, just stating a fact 😁.
WHY IS NO ONE APPRECIATING THAT THIS IS DONE IN ONE TAKE!!! He didn't know the phone was going to survive, so he only had one opportunity to get it right, and he nailed it.
Apple: *Releases crappier version of flagship for $750* Reviewers: "Apple finally makes a budget phone!" OnePlus: *Releases a full fledged flagship for $700* Reviewers: "OnePlus seriously needs to be careful about their pricing if they want me to keep buying."
While skydiving, the phone is continously lowering with a high speed so that anti-crash sensor of front pop-up camera will miscalculate that the phone is falling to the ground, and in order to protect the pop-up camera from being damaged, the sensor will lock it from popping up. Therefore, you cannot take selfies while skydiving.
If you read this it was meant for you! Act today no one is guaranteed tomorrow! Time is very short!❤️🙏🏻You are Loved more than you know!! Judgment is coming so soon!! Question: "What are the essentials of the gospel message?" Answer: The word gospel means “good news,” which is the message of forgiveness for sin through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. It is essentially God’s rescue plan of redemption for those who will trust in His divine Son Jesus Christ in order to be reconciled to a just and holy God. The essential content of this saving message is clearly laid out for us in the Bible. In the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, he lays out the content of the gospel message, “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). In this passage, we see three essential elements of the gospel message. First, the phrase “died for our sins” is very important. As Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The reality of sin needs to be acknowledged by all who approach the throne of God for salvation. A sinner must acknowledge the hopelessness of his guilt before God in order for forgiveness to take place, and he must understand that the “wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Without this foundational truth, no gospel presentation is complete. Second, the person and work of Christ are indispensable components of the gospel. Jesus is both God (Colossians 2:9) and man (John 1:14). Jesus lived the sinless life that we could never live (1 Peter 2:22), and, because of that, He is the only one who could die a substitutionary death for the sinner. Sin against an infinite God requires an infinite sacrifice. Therefore, either man, who is finite, must pay the penalty for an infinite length of time in hell, or the infinite Christ must pay for it once. Jesus went to the cross to pay the debt we owe to God for our sin, and those who are covered by His sacrifice will inherit the kingdom of God as sons of the king (John 1:12). Third, the resurrection of Christ is an essential element of the gospel. The resurrection is the proof of the power of God. Only He who created life can resurrect it after death, only He can reverse the hideousness that is death itself, and only He can remove the sting that is death and the victory that is the grave’s (1 Corinthians 15:54-55). Further, unlike all other religions, Christianity alone possesses a Founder who transcends death and who promises that His followers will do the same. All other religions were founded by men and prophets whose end was the grave. Finally, Christ offers His salvation as a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), that can only be received by faith, apart from any works or merit on our part (Ephesians 2:8-9). As the apostle Paul tells us, the gospel is “the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile” (Romans 1:16). The same inspired author tells us, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). These, then, are the essential elements of the gospel: the sin of all men, the death of Christ on the cross to pay for those sins, the resurrection of Christ to provide life everlasting for those who follow Him, and the offer of the free gift of salvation to all. What Does Faith Mean? Faith is one of those words that is commonly used but not always understood. Some of that confusion comes from the many different ways the word faith is used in everyday conversation; a quick look at Dictionary.com shows seven different uses! One common way that people use the word faith is to refer to belief in something despite lacking any evidence for it. But is that what the Bible means by faith? The answer is a resounding no! So, when the Bible uses the word faith, what does it mean? The closest that the Bible comes to offering an exact definition is Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we see that the central feature of faith-confidence or trust. In the Bible, the object of faith is God and his promises. A clear example of this is Abram's encounter with God in Genesis 15. In response to God's promise of countless descendants, Abram “believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness” (Gen 15:6). Commenting on this, the Apostle Paul writes, “No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised” (Rom 4:20-21). Thus, faith means putting your trust in God and having confidence that he will fulfill his promises. Faith is more than intellectual agreement. To use an old illustration, imagine you are at Niagara Falls watching a tightrope walker push a wheelbarrow across the rope high above the falls. After watching him go back and forth several times, he asks for a volunteer to sit in the wheelbarrow as he pushes it across the falls. At an intellectual level, you may believe that he could successfully push you across the rope over the falls, but you are not exercising biblical faith until you get in the wheelbarrow and entrust yourself to the tightrope walker. Genuine biblical faith expresses itself in everyday life. James writes that “faith by itself, apart from works, is dead” (James 2:17). Faith works through love to produce tangible evidence of its existence in a person's life (Gal 5:6). Put another way, the obedience that pleases God comes from faith (Rom 1:5, 16:26), rather than a mere sense of duty or obligation. There is all the difference in the world between the husband who buys his wife flowers out of delight and one who buys them simply out of duty. Faith is so important because it is the means by which we have a relationship with God: “For by grace you have been saved through faith” (Eph 2:8). Faith is how we receive the benefits of what Jesus has done for us. He lived a life of perfect obedience to God, died to pay the penalty for our sinful rebellion against God, and rose from the dead to defeat sin, death, and the devil. By putting our faith in him, we receive forgiveness for our sins and the gift of eternal life. So, faith means relying completely on who Jesus is and what he has done to be made right with God.

The OnePlus 7 Pro survived under water even though it does not have an official IP Rating That's really great Thanks Dave for doing this Love watching your videos
Go see the JerryRigEverything teardown video for the op7 pro... Even If it doesn't have an official IP rating, it is fully waterproof even for the camera so you can submerge it. It will never turn off
@@twistedpivoter2695 Yeah actually the device is made waterproof. They just skipped the certification part, in order to reduce the cost. That's why it does not have an official IP Rating.
@@twistedpivoter2695 thats not actually completely true. The device of the german reviewer Felixba actually ejected bubbles underwater and the camera lenses had water on the insides. After being in a bowl of rice overnight it was completely fine though.
Just because a phone doesn't have an IP rating doesn't mean that it isn't at all water resistant or water proof it just means they haven't paid money to have it officially rated because it would cost money to get it tested
@@leodriesch Well the true reason for exactly 24fps is because it was the amount of frames per second that caused little to no flickering when playing back movies on projectors. But it also makes sense since those "lower" frame rates look more realistic (more motion blur) when it comes to motion. Higher frame rates are used in sport events for example since it makes it easier for the viewer to keep up with the very fast paced action. Obviously scrolling on your smartphone or other stuff you usually do on it are not actual video footage so it makes sense to make it look as smooth as possible and to avoid motion blur.

I know you didn't want to do it, but thanks for testing the camera underwater. It was something that was holding me back on purchasing the phone. I love the detail in your videos, stuff like this always has me coming back.
That's a water jug my friend, it isn't deep, 1.5 meter deep that IP68 devices can take during 30 minutes to be precise. I don't believe it can even last 1 meter deep during 30 minutes which is the IP67 standard, all because of that motorized camera. So there you have it, the OP7 is an IP water jug certified device, and that's probably all it is.
The main problem with the oneplus brand is the lack of support. I legit cannot find a store that sells cases and other accessories for this phone. Everything has to be shipped in on Amazon.
@@bigmaxcc You missed the point a little bit there... Samuel meant that he thought the reviewer (Dave) would be underwater himself, while delivering the review.

Actually no need 1 month, within a week - it will show if there is damage. Have been looking for a water-resistant phone at that price point for so long. The last one was the HTC Desire Eye which was years ago. Took the phone to the swimming pool , under water whatnot and took pictures (while in the pool but of course above pool waterline). It was such a fantastic phone. I hope this 7 PRO does the same.
@@1WRLD there's no warranty in water damage in any other phone with IP rating as far as I know (at least for the main famous companies like Apple Samsung etc) But IP does give you a 'relief' instead of a said 'water resistant' phone
@@1WRLD Let me tell you, Phones with IP Rating is not covered in warranty.. And it is water resistant and somewhat similar to IP Rating and who said you, it doesn't has water resistant and there is no phone which is waterproof... I've OnePlus 6 and it's a Splash Resistant and I've used it in Rain, Washed with tap water, dropped in water many times and still works perfectly... So, if Splash Resistant can survive all that than what this Water Resistant can survive... This is even more water resistant than 6/6T...

@@themedleb All indications are that the Note 10 will *not* have a headphone jack. It will basically be a souped-up version of the Galaxy S10 5G (with S-pen and other goodies), which also has no jack (neither does/did the Fold). So the regular S10 series may be Samsung's last flagships with the jack.
I originally wanted that beautiful blue. But after seeing the mirror gray in person, I was surprised how good it looks. I still like the blue version but I ended up getting the mirror gray! Anyway great review! I love my OP7pro! All I could ask for now is wireless charging. They answered my other request from the 6t. Stereo speakers, and better haptics.
In India regular OnePlus 7 is launched at $469. It is a better bang for the buck phone. The Pro is for people who buy $1000 flagships. I think OnepPlus nailed this time with both segments.
A013 my last two phones have not had a headphone jack, you kind of learn to deal with it either by using bluetooth while driving or pulling out a dongle once and a while
@@hunterkennedy agreed but companies like LG,Samsung are doing pretty good stuff with headphone jack like quad dac and dolby atmos. I've really wanted to see those features evolve.
@@maccelicco "some chinese phones" dude this kind of "Idgaf about others" comment seems to be racist, like those some Chinese brands are bad bcs they are Chinese and they don't count. Did you know Oneplus is Chinese as well? doesn't seem so...
Don't do it bro i am an one plus 7 pro user and the phone sucks not really fast fast at the beginning and it's not waterproof i got an water damage on my phone
Doesn't even have AOD or a notification light though. Wheneoa new phone takes away old features without an alternative, it's hard to get on board. And for having a 5000 maH battery, the 90Hz screen isn't enough of a trade-off for some. If I'm getting a bigger battery, I expect, in addition to whatever features it offers, it's going to be better than at least a previous generation phone. I'm not convinced the OP7 Pro offers better battery life than my OG Pixel XL with a newer 4 month old battery.
What people don't understand is that One Plus uses all the same techniques to waterproof their phones. The seals and rubber gaskets are used throughout the industry. They just don't pay the 3rd party company to test it for them so they technically can't claim an IP rating although they take the same precautions and strive for the same if not better build integrity than the bigger brands.
Phone manufacturers are just increasing the display size without thinking about usability Even I am not a fan of big phones Completely agree with you on that one
So, faith means relying completely on who Jesus is and what he has done to be made right with God.
i know this is an old video, but one underrated aspect about having a mechanical front facing camera is security, it is impossible for an app to access the camera and see you without you being aware. Combine this with the modding/rooting potential of this phone, and you have a great platform to create something secure, could even compile your own version build of android and tweak it to your liking if you're inclined enough, it's not impossible unlike Apple or Samsung where they lock you out of the device.
$750 for the first OLED 90Hz Snapdragon 855 etc basically godlike features when it comes to smartphones. Undercutting other brands by more than $200. This is not unexpected, this is still OnePlus and they still kill flagships.
I hope you know 90hz 120hz phones already exist and they were also priced at similar prices when they were launched.... OP7 Pro is not a killer, it’s just interesting that’s all but personally I would go for S10 just for the camera alone and better customer support
In Germany base Galaxy S10+ (128 GB / 8 GB RAM) costs 999 Euro. OnePlus 7 Pro (256 GB / 8 GB RAM) is 759 Euro. Thats 240 Euro cheaper and 128 GB more storage.
I worked in tech manufacturing. Get your device ip rated can be expensive. Also just get your users to test it. Honestly if this one plus were to be in rated it would def be on the high end
I'm really curious, Dave, if you experienced any issues with the phone in the few days following that water test? I've heard that water damage can sometimes take a while to show.
There's this video on youtube you can probably find it without me linking it since its pretty popular where someone does very extended water tests with this phone and the only time bubbles came out of the phone were when it was in 1.5 meter deep water (bubbles means that water has entered the internal part of the phone. So I don't think any water is going in unless you are taking the phone to a deep dive
@@CallMeSpinpie I'm guessing this video is the one you are referring to. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MXgB8b8Ndfo.html Tests seem pretty extensive :) But water does enter the phone at 1.5 meters for 20min. So, I guess that means its not IP68. It might be IP67.
I would have accepted this but it basically adds like $30 and I'm not that confident about the "daily water resistance" because of the new pop up selfie mechanism. Ports are one thing, a motorised popup tho......
@@keshavsakthi546 I agree... All manufacturers/brands who provide IP certification will try to avoid replacing smartphones that have water damage. It'll be blamed on the customer as "user error."
Really surprised by the moan on the price of this: it's undercutting the other flagships, and this time offering the same level package or features worth choosing over the others. To quote an old Italian advert "What more do you want, our blood?"

Mkbhd is a heavy power user and does more stuff on his phone than the average user. For the rest of us we switch between devices (gaming console or pc/movies on the big screen/enterprise tasks on laptop or desktops)
Consider screen brightness and number of background apps as well as location service and other features turned on. Many factors might influence the battery life.
