Wife and I just upgraded the four year old phones we had to this, since a cell phone means less to us than the younger crowd it’s awesome. I know enough enough about them to realize this is decent for a budget market, it’s way faster than what we upgraded from. The battery was a major selling point to us and this thing charges fast, plus it has more ram and storage space than most budget phones. It’s our first 5G phone and I really like the 5G speed. Don’t use a phone for gaming, etc, use as a phone texting and when I’m bored maybe some RU-vid videos for us less phone dependent people this thing is pretty awesome considering the price.
Nice, just grabbed one from Metro for 60 total bucks since they had a sale. Am planning to unlock it and use it on another carrier. For 60 bucks, it's a damn steal. Was stuck between this and the Samsung budget models (A53), but Samsung usually bloated and 8 GB of RAM is a damn crazy amount since my laptop barely has double of that and is used for actual gaming.
@@im.meghanwow you got a deal, we bought this when it first came out for $299 each but I don’t feel like I overpaid since nothing else in that price range came close to it.
Bought one for my grandmother. Shes had one of those cheaper $75 dollar phones for around 5 years, making it maybe a $15 phone today. I hope she likes it, I'm worried it may be too big but she doesn't have the best eyesight, so I want something that'll suit her but won't break my bank. Edit: I've personally never used OnePlus but have heard great things. I'm more of a pixel guy, but the OnePlus Nord n30 seemed to have a lot to offer, plus it's on sale for $250 instead of $300
I don't understand why they won't make flagships with expandable memory. It's ridiculous. People are forced to buy lower quality phones or forced to spend monthly money on cloud storage forever.
Me too I have a top of the line Motorola edge Plus with high end chip and everything but prefer nord because of battery life and doesn't overheat. It's rare to have a mid-range phone with at least 8 gigs of RAM. This is what a proper phone feels like.
@@mohammadtazrianahmed1793 OLED will always look better with punchy colors on Motorola but the IPS LCD screen on the Nord is just high quality like iPhone screens before they switched to AMOLED. Screen is perfectly fine I personally don't care if it's OLED or IPS as as long as it's 1080p and bright enough to use outdoors and they both do.
Here in the UK, for the same price of this OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, you could buy a brand new S20FE, Nothing Phone 1, or a used but still good condition Galaxy S21 Plus or Galaxy Note 20. I say we need to start a trend of buying old flagships or high end phones, instead of brand new mid to low rangers. Maybe GSMArena could do a video series looking back at some old phones and see how they stack up today?
Can I ask how your N10 handled android updates if at all? were there issues if it wasn't updating to latest android versions? It was the biggest reason why I didn't grab it and I assume all of oneplus's products kinda have a limited life expectancy.
@@Drownedinbloodstill have my n10, it just keeps getting security updates every few months, about 2-3 months in between updates. Had it for the past 6 years and had no problems
None of the drawbacks he mentioned concerns me. This OnePlus N30 is an incredible power pack phone at an incredible price. Its 5G zings around fast. Its camera is 124mp, I believe, which is like all the top Samsung/Apple phones. I bought it from MetroPCS for $279 in August 2023. I only wish it were wider.
@@PhillipLemmon , after using for over a month now, I see some annoying thing about the software, such as the awkward accessing of the messaging, rsc, and SMS. It is so annoying that I am thinking that the next time I look at a potential cellphone, I should look at the software, not just the hardware.
Literally just ordered this for $20 to add a line then extra $30 add on the bill. After i cancel my broken phone it'll be back to normal my bill I mean. I'm excited though I've had a broken phone for 7 months now
@@mohammadtazrianahmed1793 The screen is not an OLED by any means. But the display is surprisingly good. I play Call of duty mobile with the n30 and it handles it quite nicely the display is descent. I got the phone for free through T-Mobile so for a free phone I honestly can't complain. The N30 advertises at having 8gb of ram but there is an option to use 4gb of internal memory as 4gb more of ram making it 12gb of ram. All in all I'm very surprised with how well this devices performance.
My last phone Google Pixel 6 pro literally came unglued and the screen was pulling apart from the body, so went back to OnePlus and this phone. Had one before the Pixel and was actually impressed with what I needed in a phone.
I do not know this for certain, but it is possible that the reason white areas are bluish in videos, is because you have the blue light filter turned off. That tends to make white a little blue-looking, and it would also explain why adjusting the color settings didn't change anything. Worth looking into.ñ
I just switched from my iphone11 series and switched to this phone I just got today I am loving it so many good features and I missed being on android cause my entire life I always grew up using android more then Apple or whatever cause I still have my iphone11 and still brand new and all no scratches never dropped it still brand new out the case with a heavy duty waterproof bullet case I have over the iPhone case'so I made the best deal ever by buying this phoneeee I am watching the video with you just impressed me with your video and helped me I just got it today still learning new things about the OnePlus Nord N305G my old phone I had before the iphone11 was a Stylus 5G LG mobile phone so this is the best upgrade ever the battery charge does expand perfectly my phone been at 88% since last Monday and I haven't yet charged it and I play games and watch videos my battery performance is amazing great video detailing I like this phone alot OnePlus for life 💙🧬😭🧬💙
Oh and I have a question due to when I'm not on my OnePlus phone or not Onn the apps why does my screen go black and I half to keep turning it back on from the lock button to open my screen up on the menu to go to my apps my screen dims the light backgrounding if anyone know what it is called in the settings I need help why does it expand my screen performance when it dims the lightning screen I want the screen to stay on and not going away every 40minutes what is it called ? Someone explain if it's a setting I need to fix in my settings
This phone is a midrange chip that finally gets 8 gigs of ram and not crappy 4 or 6 at most like other ones. Super fast charging and huge battery. Speaker gets loud AF too. Camera is mehh below average at night decent during day. I love this phone.
@@dr10420 really? It's not horrible with six I guess but have you tried using Galaxy A23 vs n30 and seen what huge difference ram makes? It literally makes A23 feel like a 50 dollar phone vs n30 flagship. The only difference is ram. For whatever reason whenever there's a mid-range chip they use 6 or less gigs of RAM typically 4 and it's horrible experience. You just need a mid-ring chip with lots of RAM and the benefits of no overheating and long battery life you will pick the mid-range phone over flagship.
@@dr10420 I have a flagship Motorola phone and I'm using Nord and 30 a lot more than the Moto especially when I'm delivering for work. It gets probably twice the battery life without much loss in multitasking and speed and doesn't get hot so it's comfortable to hold.
@@helix9268If you look in your settings in the n30 there is an option to use 4gb of internal memory as 4gb extra on ram making it 12gb ram total. I personally love this n30 at its price point I can definitely live with where the phone lacks.
@@conyo985maybe we should stop relying on paying $1,000+ for state of the art chipsets and demanding better optimization from lazy game developers? 🤷♂️
Really don't like it when phones add a very pointless, low resolution macro camera and depth sensor. Definitely prefer that they give a UWA lens or just stick to a single camera. And use that extra space for something useful.
Yes ,,, I can now confirm that the device can support dual sim card ! Go to setting > mobile network and it will display the names of the active sim card of the provider ... It clearly show two sim position ! Many of these so call influence r know shit about the product knowledge and just read from a given script ,,, So far non of these people ever talk about migrate from Apple OS to Android OS or reverse ...@@quarterpounder7338
I have a recommendation for you guys please put a emulation test in phones if you can. Otherwise always great reviews ❤. For emulation I meant how these phones handles the emulators for retro consoles likes of ps2 or GameCube
@@lewis1324I have this phone and both PS2 and GameCube run flawlessly, just don't upscale the resolution and it's perfect. Quit spreading rumors lmao!!
Having this device i have no idea why he harps on any of these things. Unless he lives in a region brighter than Missouri. I see no reason why he has issues with screen brightness.
Can you get apps like Zepeto and RU-vid other 3D game apps on this phone? I currently have an Apple 11 I need to replace but just can’t afford to replace it with another Apple new phone. I’ve looked into oneplus for a while but I’m concerned about losing my favorite apps.
So, I'm upgrading from a Motorola G7 Play. I live in Canada. Would this phone be good for the price range or is there better? Is it a worthwhile upgrade over my device? Thanks.
I've had the OnePlus Nord n30 5g for right at two weeks now. Im coming from an Galaxy s21 ultra, Galaxy a51 5g. On thing that I've noticed is that download speeds on this n30 are faster than either galaxy phones. "I have tested this" The camera is not better than either galaxy phones but gets the job done. The volume rocker being on the left is odd but I'll eventually get use to it. I play Call of duty mobile on this n30 and it seems up to par with performance. Oh and the n30 has 8gb of main ram but does have an option to have 12gb of ram by using your internal memory as an extra 4gb of ram. All in all this phone has surprised me. I thought for sure that I was buying junk but actually bought a descent device.
I have the N30, 3, 10t, 10pro 11. Bloat ware was minimal on all of them. Bloat ware is a huge reason I left android for Apple, but OP isn’t jammed full of it like other Android devices. Volume rockers on the left. Feels perfectly fine and normal. But I’m coming from the iPhone so ……… Moto Edge I would think would have as much bloat ware as Samsung. Only I ever saw was a Netflix App on the Nord3. Had to figure out how to uninstall it because it wasn’t in the installed list in the play store.but it’s gone now.
@@DeathOfUsAll Actually it does, at least it does on the 16 go model. If you go to settings and scroll down to about device or about phone and select it, you will see your ram allotment there. Select it and you should be able to increase your ram from system memory hit save and it should go in to effect on the phones next boot
Don't get the N30 if you plan to use it extensively. I used it for CODM and it crashed and was not right at all afterwards. It would power itself on and off, flip through apps on its own. And randomly sending programming code to all of my contacts in text messages. I'm sure it could be good for an average user but definitely not a heavy user or gamer.
This phone doesn't have Ecuador in its Region list but had the other South American countries. Why? I wanted a dual sim phone. The sim tray as very cheap looking
OnePlus N30 CONS: #1 The message box color for the sender and receiver is the same color. How do we know who is who then?? #2: There is no icon for the Phone Contact list #3: The screen disappears too quickly to save battery #4: The "Weekday/time/date" widget is set too big such that I can't put in a calender widget on the main page #5: The photo album icon looks ugly #6: The width of the phone is narrow #7: The phone and messaging icons within the phone list are too small #8: No easy access to messaging a particular individual (phone/messaging should be at one easy access spot, and not at different places.
What the hell do you think this is, a $1000 phone? Besides, why do you need all those video recording capabilities for? You shooting a movie for Netflix? Smh.
