OneShot: World Machine Edition - Release Date Trailer - Nintendo Switch 

There are few games that resonate in the way this does. Well, none resonate like it, but there is one other game that has left me with something like this has, Outer Wilds. Both games are amazing

Does it have gameplay? I'm an elder gamer, grew up with the games so many indies are desperately trying to be, and am so set in my ways I can typically tell if I'll like a game or not simply from its trailer, or more precisely how a trailer presents it's gameplay. I've always loved puzzle and adventure games all the back from The Adventures of Lolo and absolutely adored Baba Is You, La Mulana, and ElecHead to name a few modern ones. A few of these indie games, however, through a combination of misleading trailers and wrong-headed reviews from younger people who don't know any better, have let me down greatly and I've been alot more careful in recent days listening to hype like this. Oxenfree, Owlboy, Eastward, and Superliminal were all highly recommended and universally acclaimed indies I hated because the actual gameplay was their lowest priority before story and presentation. I don't play video games for a narrative experience and I don't believe they are particularly good at delivering one; I consider a good PREMISE to be more than enough to hang challenging and/or engrossing gameplay on. As someone (in their late 30s, mind you) who's been gaming since the Atari 2600, considers Undertale to be one of the greatest games ever made, and enjoyed Doki Doki Literature Club for what it was, this trailer piques my interest, but I really don't want to waste my time and money on some trust fund kid's who couldn't make it in any other medium lame art project. Now, keeping everything I just told you about myself in mind, and assuming this was the kind of comment you were hoping for, should I give this game a chance? EDIT: I copy/pasted this in the comment section after posting this under yours to gauge other's opinions.

@@bigduke5902 While there are a few puzzles, it's more centered around the player's relationship with Niko. Quite a few puzzles are unique, as they do things with your computer.

@@etherraichu [Spoiler to whoever haven't finish the game] I chose to save Niko over the World. I couldn't risk saving the World when it was already made clear it probably wasn't even going to work over dooming Niko in the process over the safety of saving them.

I've never playet it and I'm hyped af!

Im glad its just the first trailer. They have pretty much every scene in the game that isn't a spoiler, so anything more would be bad.

Are these unique puzzles challenging and require actual thought, though? I'm seriously asking. I posted a wall if text imploring the fans of this one to tell me if an old salt like me who much prefers the old LucasArts point and clicks to anything TellTale ever made if this is worth spending my time on.

@@bigduke5902 they’re all logic puzzles, I’d say they’re not challenging to the point of getting really frustrated, but they’re challenging enough to feel rewarded when solving them, but many of them require you to know the general idea of how a computer and it’s files work so if you know that you should be fine

@@bigduke5902 the puzzles themselves aren't especially hard, but I'd say most of them do require thinking though. There's also all the unorthodox puzzles, which you will solve outside of the game

it’s oneshot time

Someone leaked the new dialogue from World Machine Edition. The line that stood out to me was when the game said "We need to make the world machine" before they oneshot all the enemies. Looking forward to this game!
