I made it a personal rule for myself to never ride my onewheel without wrist guards cause they're the first thing that always hits the ground. It's saved me from so many injuries.

Great wrist guards! Check out the entire video and fall: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e5ki31f2NMI.html

Brother, You are so Blessed and I'm sincerely glad you weren't severely injured - But there's something I have to share and THANK YOU for... Last week I was riding my Thunder II at very low speed and safely passing nice and easy, stop and go traffic - was just passing the front of a van when he instantly turned right into me, I literally had no time to react and remember thinking "this guys gonna bounce me". Then impact - which sort of torque threw me off (I'm about 265 and 6'2") was surprisingly heavy for such a low speed (5 mph maybe). Long story short, apart from a strained wrist and slight bruise, I was ok and walked away with my scooter rock solid. Thing is - I'd watched this video before I bought my scooter and gear and you'd inspired me to get as much protective equipment as possible. I watched a similar video where an EUC rider fell and got a nasty "raspberry" on his side as well. I wear a full face helmet as you do and glad I did or else I'd have literally taken the whole force of the impact on my chin - the helmet got a bit of a scratch and lost it's rubber lip but I was good. I wore gloves, knee and elbow guards and just recently bought a heavy duty full chest/back/tail/ribcage vest and a padded snowboard under shorts (saved my hip and thing). I have to comment that I see a lot of videos of folks busting red lights and all I can say is that I wish them the best - There is a LOT of physics going on in an impact and bones and soft tissue don't win against steel, no matter how much gear you wear (internals can shift so hard that they tear away). Thanks so much for all your great videos - Your fall prevented me from severe injury. I continue to enjoy riding! Bless you guys & your families, Ride well, Ride Safe. PS. The driver was clueless as to why he turned into me - Go figure???

They're not clueless. They are instead not expecting a scooter and rider so close to their vehicle to try and outrun them. Van mirrors can't turn their heads to make sure it's clear. Ride defensively. I know what you mean about "folks busting red lights". They'll not only turn the public off to PEV's but can turn the law on them. People in crosswalks are not mindless shoppers but are also employees of the municipalities that the EUC rider is riding in.

@@cascade5682 Hey Cascade. Appreciate your reply and your perspective. I understand that van drivers can have limited visibility but they, as we all, have the responsibility to ensure we can turn safely. Won't argue the point, I'm just glad to be alive and not permanently injured. I completely agree with riding defensively and in fact, I now take my place in the line of traffic (where appropriate) and move just as a motorcycle would. I find that it much safe in terms of visibility both ways and less stressful. As PEV riders, we must be responsible. As you say, we want to earn a safe and rightful place on our public roads so the Law can support, not restrict us. Many thanks and all the best.

I swear by them too for skateboarding, I talk about them all the time to anyone who'll listen and did a video about them a while back as well. There's just nothing out there that feels so protective, I just wish they were made from a slightly more hardwearing material in the key wear areas and they would be perfect!

He was pushing, as i heard the beeping as he passed the camera. No slowing down, until forced to. Speed, been there done that, 170mph on a kawi 14r. Nothing compares to that for me on the ground. For me, an euc or escooter is really convenient commuting, not fun unless it’s offroad and you live where there’s a lot of trails. Me, nyc streets, cars and pedestrians are the reality.

Looking into these flexneter guards. A month ago I got a compound fracture in my wrist from riding my GT. Do you think these can protect against such bad falls? I hit a Philadelphia pothole 😭
