The extra 5 miles for an extra 1000 is a joke. I just got the GT also.. now if it was also waterproof and had the same range as GT, i might be much more inclined to sell my GT and buy the GTS

I just rode my friend's GTS tonight, comparing it to my GT set up just like yours, with the WTF rails and enduro tire. I think with your terrain on the keys, that's pretty flat, cruising around town and on distance rides, you would never really need the GTS difference. Our terrain here is hilly, and I love trails where I'm grinding up and over things, so in that case the extra torque is really helpful. Also, I tend to cruise at 20+ often, and pushing against Captain Morgan gets annoying after a few miles. But if your sweet spot is cruising 15 - 20, you're golden on the GT, plus you have the range. That's a sweet setup you've got, I honestly don't think it'd be worth changing to the GTS for your rides. Love your content, FOMF! 🤙
@therealbergexperience5640
@therealbergexperience5640 8 месяцев назад
Thank you my friend!! Just tried the GTS and the GT is definitely more suitable. You hit it on the head. The terrain is flat. I’m at sea level. I go over the highest points with ease, so I’m go where I’m at. If I had any trouble I’d probably jump to the GTS. I barely ever captain Morgan. Only on the pint x. That pushback kicks in fast and hard so I don’t like riding it.

I agree with your point about bodhi. I think he made a mistake and he’s done it twice. This is his second time going to FM. No matter what that factory team does they will never compete with what TFL does for out community. They are 100% real and no propaganda. Jeff is the realist dude out there speaking for us as a whole

For sure. Love TFL. I’m big on loyalty. If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything. That dangling carrot. I’m sure they made it hard to pass up but in the long run I don’t think FM has loyalty for anyone but FM. It was a good move for them. Chess move for sure.

The update to the internals. Having more power toque sacrificing a little miles makes it a safer board. The more powerful the wheel the safer it is my opinion, especially hearing the comparison of just being able to lean very hard in the board. That extra power is needed for emergency braking as well. I ride both euc and onewheel. The more toque and power you have it’s makes the wheel that much safer. And being safe on a wheel is my number 1 priority. Will I buy the gts? After selling my pint and xr for lack of torque for safe riding I think so. Just not for a while so I can see their quality control.

Future motion has become to greedy and anti consumer since the onewheel started to pickup popularity, the GT should have been what gt-s series is now for $2200 price with GT battery range, not being user repairable with software hardware locks preventing battery and component replacements is unacceptable in this type product, 👍👍video

They definitely squeezed every penny they could get out of this 1. There are some upgraded parts but not enough to warrant $1000 bucks. Either way I love my GT so life is good. Thank you as well my friend!!
@Glorybearer7
@Glorybearer7 8 месяцев назад
Totally agreed with everything you’ve said. Glad u were able to overcome the urge to splurge on the GTS. The GTS torque/power is definitely great. Especially when the battery gets under 50%-20%. Having nosedived at 23.7 mph on 18%, I’d really like the extra headroom. I wouldn’t necessarily like the extra power for speed but for the safety aspect, for when the battery runs low. I don’t doubt that the GTS is a nicer riding experience than the GT, but $3200 (before taxes) for the GTS, with less range than the GT, is just a bit too steep for me to justify the purchase. At minimum, for that price, they should have given us equal range with the added power. They could have sacrificed the 2lb drop in weight for added range, but that would have destroyed GT sales. The GT is more than sufficient for newer riders and for the majority of GT owners. The wiser choice would be to pass on the GTS for the next onewheel with added power/torque and range.
@Alex-ge6fo
@Alex-ge6fo 8 месяцев назад
I agree with your take and I'd make a pretty good bet that sooner or later there is going to be either a GT+ or a GTR that has a little (~20%) more power, speed, and range than the GT. I'd love to see a 22 mph Onewheel with 20% more range than the GT and I think there is probably a much bigger market for that board than the GTS. It is probably part of their rollout strategy; no company (that deserves to stay in business) sits pat on their products and stops introducing new innovations and products.

However, I would like to see someone ride the GTS at 20mph and then then the GT, I honestly don't think there would be much difference in range. It's only when you start ripping the GTS that I suspect you get a big range hit. I could be wrong. I’ve been riding my new GT S a bit now and I have to agree with @geodim when he says it’s about feeling safer at 20 rather then going 25. When I first started riding, the first ride I went right up to 25 and said no way this is 25 this feels to stable. As well as for the range, I haven’t tested it yet but I’ve heard from people that are 150 pounds or so, they’ve been able to push the GT S to 28 miles on a charge by not riding super aggressively and cruising at that 18 or less mph. Not pushing the motor as much will use less battery. These are two big reasons I got the GT S… plus the speed is crazy to hit every now and then and now I haven’t had to carry my board over anything yet

I honestly THINK THE GT - S was made for RACERS ONLY! They decided to push it to the public. DON'T be surprised if PINT X - S - Series. is in the making. FM aka Apple. (IPhone vibes) I'm a FM fanboy hands down. Don't get it twisted. I just cant afford a GT - S, Not in my budget at the moment.

I don’t know my friend. If you really really wanted it you could get it. That’s the way I think. I know if I really wanted I could definitely get it. Just have to bite the bullet. Sell your GT, put a paycheck with and you right there. I know I’m going see you on 1 before you know it 🙌🏾

For me it's going to be more of a trail only board. Even then, for steep trails that are shorter than what I normally like to ride where range will not be an issue. Otherwise, range is king! Also, will it be hard to go back to GT after GTs, guess I'll find out!
@therealbergexperience5640

Love the videos the GTS is cool but not worth 3200 bucks plus tax at that price I've been looking at these euc's you get twice the product for the same price it seems like I love onewheels but I'm leaning more towards the euc's never tried one but at least twice the range suspension you can go up and down stairs and a lot bigger elements just a thought you should try one they look super fun onewheel is a vibe but vibes only last so long 🤙

Those who bring up the additional safety factor that you get with more torque are absolutely right but there is the concept of "safe enough". For many riders the power of the GT will be safe enough, and it sounds like you are one of those - cruising 16-19, not riding too aggressively, weigh under 200 lbs. If it is safe enough for the riding that you do and the weight that you are, and you have not much interest to go more than 19 or 20, the range of the GT is something that the GTS doesn't have. So you're going to spend an extra $1000 for a board that you may end up riding the same way as your GT, but with 20% shorter range. By the way, I think the price increase of the GTS is way too much for FM to justify. I'm sure their costs to produce a GTS is not 39% higher than the GT but the price is 39% higher.
@therealbergexperience5640
@therealbergexperience5640 8 месяцев назад
For sure. 19 is plenty for me. I haven’t even hit that lately. Just enjoying the cruising and tunes. Not much interested in the GTS for now. But that comes and goes. 1 min I want to try 1 next I’m like nah 🤣

$3200 be too steep of a price for me. Luckily, I'm simply content with my Pints/Xs as I've not had the opportunity to try the GT/S. I wasn't attracted to the larger frame/weight or maybe I just tell myself that to stay appreciative of the Pint's size/weight. The response/torque does appeal to me, but until I get to trying the GTS out, I'll stay loyal to my Pints.

Now’s the perfect time to jump on a gt. Many people selling to get that new board. I love mine. I can’t really get comfortable on the pint x. I feel like I’m hurting the motor. You can probably get a Gt for less than 1500

@therealbergexperience5640 I recently had the opportunity to try out the GTS. It felt so smooth like a Cadillac. Maybe I'm just accustomed to smaller vehicle in general as I really like the Pint/X's nimbleness.

I think its more to story why Bodhi switched to the dark side. Jeff seemed like a really cool boss to work for (not Michael Scott level) like maybe they’re getting off work and happy hour start at 420pm. I cant see Bodhi working 9-5 for FM. That will drive him nut!!! Maybe they’re guarantee to pay for his collarbone surgery or maybe TFL send him as a secret agent 😂 who knows!?

That would be an awesome movie. TFL secret agent 🤣 I doubt it though. I think FM just has more to offer. More money, front row seat in the industry, better cameras, bigger team. Did I mention the cameras 🤣 I saw them filming from a van with some high powered stuff. I definitely get it. It’s that dangling carrot again. Hard not to bite.

On the trails with my buddy who has a gt and I have been riding the gts. Our ranges have been within 1 mile of each other. The power band with the gts is there at all points. Hill climbing just as good at 40% as it is at 100%. Power through turns where my buddy on his gt looses power through the turn. I’m coming from an Xr. Is it worth it coming from a gt? I like it. It goes real fast

See you like speed. I like cruising and exploring. We don’t have much off road trails and the ones we do the GT does great on. Even if I had that speed I wouldn’t use it. Just like anything else I’ve had. Always just cruising. Drove a Camaro like a Cadillac. Young man with old soul I guess. But if you lie it that’s what’s up. I wish there were someone in my area with 1 I could ride with. I could really get a hands on experience. Keep floating and stay safe my 🤙🏾🏄🏾‍♂️

I hope you start a podcast. There is a real authenticity void there. The pint is the pound for pound winner, and the GTS will have to compete with it as far as agility. The OW community is very competitive and many are guilty of cancel culture. Bodie knows from the front seats and could shed real light. That said I think Kyle is on a second act and the GTS is now reaching for a quality product 😊

You think they would have designed the GTS to use only the power that it needs. Even my Dyson vacuum has an eco mode. I must be asking too much tech from a so called tech company. I haven't taken my GT above 18mph nor do ever feel like I have the need to. Ordered the low boy foot pads to see if that will make a difference. Prefer the lower riding height like the XR but will see. Should be here Thursday but the weather here in Washington state is 💩 compared to what you have going down there Im guessing Florida. 🤔

@therealbergexperience5640 Turning off at any speed would probably be lame as 💩 luckily it's only happened just a couple of times when I first turned on the board and initially tried to move forward instead just fall forward. Everything feels normal besides that when I'm moving. The weather here in the PNW has been non-stop raining, so I haven't been able to ride much to see if it's still happening. Won't be riding that fast until I'm confident enough that there won't be any funny business going on.

Trade my board and over $2000 for more torque and speed but less range 🤷🏾‍♂️ uhhh. Im ok 🤣 you can bite the bullet and go through the whole crypto thing to get a float wheel for less.

@@therealbergexperience5640 to be honest your recent video has convinced me that I'm letting the idea of new and faster supercede the fact of less range and having to fork over more money. I think I'll wait for the version with speed and range. It seems like they come out with a newer one right after I cave and buy the latest. Besides I rode my GT today and remember I'm happy with what I got. Keep posting videos onewheel and euc!

Just a little ignorance on my part although I never said I did 220. Highest I ever went was 140 for maybe 10 seconds but when I bought it that’s what everyone told me it could do. It was a bad ass bike. Wish I kept. Paid $10,500 and got it shipped from Pennsylvania all hooked up. I actually don’t know how fast it went.
