Yes but no. This is implied that Mion's ideas about games are random and subject to highly change from one world to another. That's why the game club was so refreshing for Rika. I think Satoko just put traps EVERYWHERE in the school. Just in case.
I didn't realize Satoko followed Rena at some point until I rewatched. You should do a similar video with other arcs, I remember Satoko being alone with Mion at some point in Watadamashi as well.
I am not the only one who thinks that Satoko is already kind of obsessive towards Rika before the big reveal am I? I mean look how she calls Rika her's, how she defends Rika (and holds her while doing so), how she got so excited Rika was giving her a present, being the only one to support Rika as she goes off to do her little Cotton Ripping dance.
I doubt if Satoko really injects Rena in that point. Cuz she being hit by the prank seem to be the first time happening. Therefore there's no way she can prepare H173 beforehand.
I think she injected Keiichi at the picnic when she shoves him aside, I'm thinking a needle was sticking out of her fanny pack or something and he got a small dose. After the picnic is when Keiichi starts becoming paranoid. Rena possibly after the KO trap assuming Rena didn't just succumb to rule x and she really did go crazy. The tools she buys in the preview could just be for getting the Kenta statue.
No, I think it would be possible for her to have H173. Tomitake doesn't die, which suggests Takano is no longer the cause of tragedy. I'm sure Satoko would have obtained H173 by now from realizing that. But it is completely possible that Rena just L5'd naturally due to a combination of Higurashi OG's first loop memory and stress relating to her father.
The way I see it, none of the people in the first two arcs were done in by H173. Typically, it seems as though H173 induces L5 H Syndrome within a matter of hours, if Tomitake in the previous arcs and the various killers in Nekodamashi-hen are anything to go by. There's nothing saying Rena/Mion couldn't have been injected in the hours prior to their deaths in their respective arcs, but there's just so much hinting and foreshadowing throughout the meat of each arc, for at least several days before their climax, that I find it more likely that their syndrome/paranoia was cultivated naturally and that Satoko merely just took advantage of it.
@@DimitriAwesometh I agree though I still think Keiichi got a small dose at the picnic. I have started to wonder if kids are more resistant to it then adults and if dosage matters. Things like in Nekodamashi have also happened quicker then they did in the original novel at least. That could mean it was through injections. It is rather hard to believe Satoko going around injecting people like Akasaka and nobody has said anything or noticed anything. A lot of this does seem off to me. Even under HS you would still bring up the fact that Satoko got you with a syringe. Maybe she is dressing up as Rika, that way people injected target Rika?
@@rjmax3311 I wasn't questioning all the Nekodamashi killers, they all almost certainly got injected, but how it happened or what causes them all to target Rika is too early to speculate right now. I was more drawing attention to the time span of the first two arcs, how Rena acts sus throughout the whole of Onidamashi while Mion isn't showing any typical signs of L5 syndrome even up until the end of Watadamashi. If the ladder scene is anything to go by, Mion could still be suffering from the syndrome, just not L5, much like Keiichi might be in Onidamashi. Specific dosages of H173 aren't something that has been explored before so again we don't really know for sure if that factors.
