A company called Metakoo reached out to me because they said they were impressed with my recent review of the Macwheel ebike. They said they actually are the same company and wanted to send me another bike for review that many people my not be aware of.
I said I would love to do a review as long as I can be honest good or bad. They agreed.
After about a month of testing I can say I have a very good opinion of the Cybertrack100.

FYI Battle, I showed this to my Pop and he watched it until he saw 12K on the price of the high end EBike and he clicked off. Muttered, 'Damn expensive Tesla bicycle! Hippies cant even peddle anymore!!!' He didnt even listen to what you were trying to say. Haham my Boomer old man is a trip. You can tell he doesnt read the description of the upload either.

My dad still thinks the M16 is a toy made by Mattel...he said he was issued an M14 (a man's rifle) when he joined the Army in the 60s. I'm sure there were haters of black powder rifles...swords never need reloading!

@@mixflip my dad was a diff opinion of the M16/M4. He loved it compared to the M14. He was a infantry officer 1964 - 70. Then in 1970 started a 32 career with the LAPD. he retired a commander in 2002.

I can honestly say....if fun is the goal...this bike is an easy yes. I have 8 bikes to play with in the garage and this one is by far the funnest bike to grab when the whole family rides in our neighborhood. Specifically because of the throttle and pedal assist that stays on all the time. I really wish my bigger bike had that feature.

I love that word, "HUB MOTOR" I would love one if I wasn't living in this big city. Talking about hub motors keeps your eyes open wide if you see a lordstown motors Endurance please make a video about it :)

Thanks for this review. All other reviews on this bike I've found not that credible and the company has very poor customer service, never responding to my questions. I purchased the bike on a whim and it's currently being shipped to me and now I'm thinking I made a huge mistake. However, your video is making me feel ok about my decision to buy the bike. I appreciate your honesty and thoroughness. BTW based on your experience what do you think the longevity on this bike will be?

I can only guess what longevity would be. The performance is surprisingly good for $799 and the bike is simple...so if you just use it as a commuter bike I'm guessing it could last a very long time. But I have not data to back that up. Often though simple equals reliable. It probably comes down to the batteries. Will they last? We shall see.

I just ordered (they said they have it in stock) the same basic bike, I believe. I expect to see some cost-cutting features 'cause I got it from Amazon for 519.99. I'm a 74 year-old newbie and have been binge-watching the SNOT out of a myriad of vids. One thing I think is gonna be different. It might not have the LCD display. Somewhere, I saw a display that was just lights. It's the Hiland Rockshark. This is from my order: HILAND Rockshark Aluminum Electric Mountain Bike Equipped with 350W Motor,26 inch 21MPH Adults E-Bike Shimano 21 Speed Disc Brake Suspension Fork with 36V 10.4Ah Removable Battery. Oh, BTW, I just want it to replace my 3-mile, everyday walk. The legs, hips, and back just ain't what they used to be, ain't what they used to be, ain't what they used to be.🙃

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I just bought this bike and waiting for it to arrive. I do moderate trail riding in a nature preserve 2 minutes from my house and plan to use this to expand my trail/location range to other nearby spots without having to put my manual MTB on the car. At this price point my expectations are pretty moderate. From your experience, do you think simply changing out the tires to a knobbier MTB style would make a difference? Could be a low-cost upgrade.

I absolutely love this bike now that I put bigger knobbier 2.3 inch wider tires. I'll make a video for you to see how I upgraded this bike for little money and totally changed the feeling of the ride. I also changed the stem and handle bars and pedals. I set it up kinda like a 26 inch bmx ebike lol.

Frame size - Center to center wheel distance is a good measurement to look out for. Some are so short that the bikes are more suited for kids.

It is smaller for sure. I put BMX handle bars on it and now it feels liek a big BMX ebike lol.

Like your reviews. You always do a good review based on your knowledge. Here’s what I learned both personally and professionally...I used to R&D mounts bike frames. I used to race Downhill Mountain Bike Professionally. It comes down to the welds of the frame and type of alloys they use. The components are second. If the welds can’t hold up to the rigors of moving from campsite to campsite.. then the bike is no good.. the frame has to have great welds. I have broken (literally) my face and shoulders because of Chinese made frame frames. But, again most frames are made over seas....

I used to be a welder for Toyota in the 90s when they had a light truck factory in California. You are corrrct....99% of the bike industry is made in China.

Thanks for the good review. I just bought this one as my first ebike, I'm waiting for delivery. I wasn't getting enough exercise on my Harley and so I thought I could at least get a little exercise on an ebike. Can you actually get real exercise on this bike? By the way I'm 54 so I'm not looking to go off road or climbing mountains.

Yes it's great for fun and a little exercise. It's actually one of the easiest bikes I have to pedal when the motor is off. It actually feels like a regular bicycle because it's only 45lbs for an ebike.

@@billy_horowitz7893 I recieved in 7 days. They kept telling me it was shipped but fedex tracking hadden recieved. They created a label and took 4 days for fedex to pickup at their warehouse.

were you able to reset the trip meter? Per the seller on Walmart, they don't allow a reset of the trip meter because then it would open up the other settings in the display.

If you hold the power button and the minus button while on the trip computer it will reset it

There really wasn't much to assemble other than putting the wheel on the front and mounting the handle bars. This one doesn't have lights or a 2nd motor so there isn't much to do. I'll try an find my full assemble footage if I have it and make a video.

Maybe they got finger print oils on them? Oils or misalignment can cause noise. Loosen the 2 mounting screws so the brakes kind of float freely. Then squeeze the brake lever to the pads hold the disk. This will align them. While holding pressure, tighten the bolts then let go of the levers and now the pads should sit perfect with no pads touching the disk as the disk spins. Also maybe your pads are defective? Or damaged?

Depends. I'm getting a bike soon for testing that has a claimed 50 mile range. In a survival event getting away out to 50 miles before you take your 1st walk is a huge advantage. If you attach a trailer you can carry 1 or 2 kids and a little food and water....or just all survival gear if you don't have kids. Carry a jackery portable power bank and solar panels and you could have basically unlimited fuel for transportation. If the battery dies this bike is still light enough to be used like a normal bike. I'll make a video since the idea is intriguing.

I will do a dedicated range test. I can report that the battery life surprised me. I took my 10 year old out riding all over the neighborhood for an hour and it didn't even kill 1 bar on the battery? I was using pedal assist of course but this bike lasts longer than my Maceheel wrangler ebike doing the same things with my kids.

I have friends that are bike cops...they hate ebikes and always ask me why bother since you don't get any exercise. I always respond...ebikes are fun. I get no exercise from dirtbikes either.

@@mixflip I've been riding since I was six, seriously. I don't know if you remember the lawn mower engine mini dirt bikes? You get a workout on dirt bikes man. Your arms, forearms, hands and your legs and calves. If you really ride trails.. Not flat stuff like Glamis or Azusa Canyon or even Barstow. Fraternal Twin sister was a motor officer for six years in LA... She retired 2 years ago Feb 28 years a Captain LAPD. Our pop told her she needed to enjoy her kids. She married late also. She says the same thing about E bikes.. Hahaha

@@on2wheels378 we had a Briggs & Stratton powered mini bike when I was a kid. We used to jump it using the ditches in front of our house. News flash....we broke it lol. Turns out mini bikes don't jump haha. Some friends lost teeth, got road rash and maybe a concussion since we never wore helmets in the ghetto in the 80s. I agree dirtbikes can wear you out. I used to ride rain or shine for years in hawaii. But I didn't ride specifically to get a work out lol. I want a dual sport but I'm afraid if I dump it 100 miles in the backwoods....I may not survive now that I'm almost 50.

@@mixflip sounds like my experience. I turned 54 last Dec. See why my 38 year old wife is a ageist. I still ride with HS friends on private property in Newberry Springs Ca near a man made lake and it's a good 20 mile hilly ride. Jumps, washes, creek beds. Wife gets worried but I've ridden so long. I rather spill out there than the street
