What a beautiful guitar! I love the color. When the Coop was asking himself why these colors are so popular I can only speak for myself, but when you have a couple of Martins (say a D-18, a D-28 and a 000-18), another color is almost enough of a reason to buy it, even if it means you’ll have effectively the same guitar! Ik know, this sounds silly. But I saw an absolutely gorgeous 000-18 in an amberburst finish and I almost bought it, even though I already own a wonderful sounding 000-18. I had plenty more reasons than just the overall appearance when I bought my beloved 00-15m. But the fact that it’s just a different vibe because of its looks was surely one of them. ❤
#RipTide A real beauty from #Martin in the New #CEO10. It looks like Martin is producing gorgeous Custom Shop Guitars with real wood bindings like PRS. Maple+Abalone is very nice as a contrast to the Ambertone finish. #Anderton's just demoed some #Martin Custom Shop Guitars with a dark Koa+Abalone binding that looks incredible on a natural finish. The Koa binding goes around the body top and back and all along the neck/fingerboard and headstock. Just WoW!!
Well I missed my excuse a few weeks ago, as I am 68 now. It's always great to hear the Gris Mack play!!I wonder enjoy this but I must pass. It was great to hear, thank you. Happy Holly days everyone.
If any of you guys in the UK want one, peach guitars have one in stock the time i'm writing this comment. I came very close myself but i certainly not in position to make the leap! Hope to have something similar in the future. Beautiful guitar! Nice review !
A beautiful guitar and beautifully played! I’d love to see a comparison episode with this and the 000-28 Modern Deluxe, but I doubt the “10” will be around your store long enough for that to happen.
Martin, once renowned for world-class guitars. Now, famous for Richlite, HPL, prints of worn guitars and other art, liquid metal bridge pins, "select" hardwoods (would it be so difficult to say what they are? or are they scared of frightening the customer?), and bling-bling CEO guitars at ridiculous prices. They seem desperate to prove they're as innovative as the next major guitar manufacturer. Lucky for them they haven't completely abandoned the guitars that made their name.
Martin have broadened their lineup sure, but they haven't abandoned their legacy guitars. Look at the standard series, that's closer to prewar now than what they have been for decades and then of course the Authentic series. Can't really get more traditional martin then that. What more could you want?
It saw this on your website yesterday and also the CEO 7. My apologies to The McGriz. I accused him of never having it. Highlight it and it will be gone...they're amazing.
Cooper, how are you so laid back and kewl? You need to start an extra youtube channel to teach us (or reinvigorate your existing one). As well as guitar lessons. As well as coming up with great nick names.
A wonderful sounding guitar with a great wood pairing. The only change I would like made to this model is to exclude the adornment on the pick guard. I like the headstock but the pick guard is too much for me.
i am of the strong opinion that you can or even shoud stop even notizing people who write "bla bla ridiculously expensive bla bla hate everything everybody is stupid bla bla"-comments under an expensive guitar review/demo video. not worth bothering. i for one think that we all need somthing to aspire to, to work for. and if i will only be able to buy that 4500 dollar hummingbird when i am 65 then so be it. lookin forward to it. ( if not, well... ) meanwhile i will continue to watch videos about guitars - daydream about the expensive ones and be thankful that we live in a time where we have so many cheap-er alternatives that sound damn incredible for the money. e.g. the epiphone excellente ri or the 335 they do ( just 2 i do know well ). nicely played chris, cheers guys!
The price doesn't bother me -- it's not like this is a production model. It's so limited in nature that I'm really just a curious observer, not a potential buyer. Beautiful guitar.
@@johnwashburn3793literally spent only a grand more than this bad boy 3 years ago when I moved into my new house. Wish i had it to spend on a guitar.. maybe I can get a refund on the roof as it’s getting warmer every day. lol
Odd that you ascribe more value to the abstract concept of a prevous owner rather than the intrinsic costs of materials, skilled labour, etc. A quality acoustic guitar out of a custom shop entirely crafted by one skilled luthier with high quality materials can easily cost more than 2 grand. A mass-produced instrument with many hands working on it out of a low-labour-cost country like China will be available for less, of course, but you get what you pay for.
@@pepmasters-999 take away all the unnecessary tacky bling crap and it's no different a 2k guitar, but they want you to believe it's worth 7k !!! Suckers will buy one.
