Thank you so much for ordering and reviewing your 13 Days of Halloween Box! Fee our Graphic Designer is over moon with your compliments (and all the other lovely comments left by others!). All of the team from the design, to the flavour development, physically making and wrapping the choccy have worked super hard to help this come together 🍫Thank you so much for your feedback 🎉
I can see this being something for the entire family rather than one person. Everyone can try a little piece each day, then they discuss the flavors and those who like it most get the rest of the bar. Yummy chocolate with a little bonding experience on the side.
Since they were going for a Witchcraft/Potion theme, it would’ve been nice to see some flowers, herbs, and spices incorporated. They also should have had way more decorations on the bars (sprinkles, splashes of color, candies).
I highly dislike hazelnut chocolate. The texture and taste just doesn't sit well with me. I know lots of people love hazelnut spread so I'm probably gunna get some hate.
@@hibikimills9566that’s ok, people have preferences and I personally enjoy most fruity chocolates. People say that they don’t like fruits in chocolate around me, so just believe your own thing
Sometimes taking the corner of the chocolate bar is not the best way to taste it. Often the corners have less filling (also happens in Ritter or Milka filled bars, for example). Maybe next time if they are filled try taking a piece from the center so that you can have a "proper" filling experience However, my favourite chocolate is the Milka bar with Tuc: it's literally chocolate and crackers, and i LOVE this combination! And i love the salted chocolate that they do in Cervia (Italy).
That sounds nice the milka with tuc biscuits, like pick up bars but with nicer chocolate! There's this brand called Tony's Chocolonely, they do a bar that's 40% milk chocolate with sea salt and broken up pretzels. I imagine you'd love that, it's one of my personal favorites 😍
Chocolate bars are much bigger than I was expecting. When you said mini, I was expecting the size of those mini kinder bars. My mouth was also totally drooling watching this 😂 😂
I think it would have been more accurate to eat a whole square to get the overall effect rather than half of a square where some bits may not have been present. Was really hoping the passion fruit one was good - packaging is super cute tho!
Golden chocolate is a kind of chocolate! It's sort of like white chocolate but all the ingredients are caramelized before made into chocolate. You can get a similar effect by caramelizing white chocolate.
This particular company seems to lean more toward sweet flavor profiles rather than bitter ones based on just their website, so the box overall feels in line with their brand. It's good for those who don't like heavily sweet chocolates to know what they might be in for in a product like this; which is where reviews like this are great.
Am I the only one that feels like it was a missed opportunity that the "Potion of Darkness" wasn't dark chocolate? When Jackie read the name I was like "That's probably going to be dark chocolate" and then it wasn't!!!
I recently got to visit a local artisan chocolate shop here in Finland, and left the shop with a box of hand-made chocolates, each a different flavour. They had wild things like basil & mango, one coated with flower petals, and even the simple raspberry chocolate tasted like fresh berries. My mind was blown, along with my tastebuds. I assume chocolates like that would be impossible to ship around the world, as it seems even chocolate bars are a challenge. For a packaged product, this looks amazing. I love the box they came in, and the artwork is beautiful. The gooey centers would hold better in individual chocolates, instead of bars - it's a bit of a shame that some got smooshed. The price isn't that bad, if you maybe give the bars as gifts to friends, but based on how many times you mentioned the chocolate was very sweet, I doubt I'd buy these. Well, actually, I might buy these because of the wrappers and the artwork.
I think the main reason they’re not “intense” is because you’re taking half of a corner piece. Usually flavors are more in centers/middles. Not to mention taking half of a square isn’t getting the full amount. It be like biting the end of a burrito just to taste it instead of cutting in half and taking a bite from there.
Honestly for a little over $6 and a cool and detailed experience with cute detailed paper (box) you could refurbish for future craft projects. This isn't so bad! Especially for handmade chocolate bars as well, because even in the U.S. in the South. Homemade/Handmade stuff is never cheap! This is a really cute idea, and my inner child is obsessed with all the Halloween flair of the details within just the box!♥️ Edit: Also I 100% agree with Jackie. I am more of a savory person, so when I want my sweets. I don't want them tasting like plastic. I think that's why I prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate. It isn't too sweet and hits the spot. 🍫
More advent calendars please, this was so cute and fun!! Maybe if this develops into its own series it would be a great excuse to have Sika guest on! It was weird watching Jackie eat food without Sika, haha
With the Luck Potion, they didn't mean honeycomb as in bees. If you look at the ingredients list, they mean Honeycomb the candy, also known as Honeycomb toffee. That would be what any chunks in the bar were.
@@loisma2356 lol sorry but it pixie aweness week and she was mean not inviting her pixie sister. i swear her sister looks like a pixie or elven (not house elven)
@@cr0cket01sika is currently going through a rough time, so even if she was invited she might've not wanted to participate it'd also be nice if we could stop mentioning her every single video, the channel is Jackie's not Sika's 😅 I think Jackie does well by herself too
@@kitsunebiShake hey I agree with you so much! If you don't mind telling, what is going on with Sika? I always loved their chaotic cute sister energy but Jackie is the star for sure 🥰
Whilst not personally into Halloween, there was some missed opportunities, I feel. I was surprised that the Dragon's breath wasn't chilli chocolate. I know it's not for everyone (I have zero tolerance for spice/probably allergic to it) but as a Halloween themed box, it would've made sense to me to be there. Also disappointed that there wasn't more dark chocolate. Putting something like an 85% would also be fun for a Halloween themed chocolate.
I love ALL the art in that box! I’m really glad Jackie kept the individual wraps, cause I reckon they would be amazing to use for crafty goodness. The fancy chocolate here in the UK can be REALLY fancy. One of my favourites is Rococo chocolate - in case anyone wants to try another bougie brand! This video made me crave all the choccy!❤❤❤
Loved it when you grabbed a pen instead of the sharp pointy thing 😂 Love you Jackie…you are my most favorite “salty” person ❤Definitely like Dark Chocolate and a little of white…hey we all need a little sweetness sometimes 😊
Thanks for the bonus content, Jackie! The packaging of that advent calendar is gorgeous, it’s a shame that the flavors weren’t better. I couldn’t believe they just threw a whole gummy worm in that bar!😂
Love the packaging, very cute 🥰 I'm a dark chocolate girly so this box wouldn't be for me 😅 Just wondering if it's tasting "mild" because the ingredients are more "natural" 🤔
This is so funny 😭😭 I do not like savory desserts and I absolutely need everything to be extra sweet I hate the idea of pumpkin in chocolate or any other savory options So it's fascinating to see the flavor profile of someone completely opposite from me! Loved the review Jackie! More calendars please!
One of these days you gotta invite Sika to the food videos. I want to see the chaos that y'all's sisterhood consists of. It reminds me of me and my siblings. (Mostly me and Laila)
There used to be a whole bunch of Marvellous Creations flavours/options. Now we only have a couple of options here in Australia: the original jelly and candy coated chocolate bean mix, that mix but in caramelised chocolate, and a "lolly bag" mix (Clinkers and 2 other lollies). Cadbury here has some pretty interesting flavours and is relatively cheap - especially if you buy it on sale. They have a Hedgehog Slice bar that has rice crisps in it and has the texture of Hedgehog Slice (or chocolate crackles). There's also a White Christmas bar that has some of the bits and pieces you'd add into a White Christmas slice: rice crispies, coconut, jellies to pretend to be the cherries, etc. I have loved the special edition bars they did with chef Curtis Stone, raspberry tart. I don't like the Darrell Lea chocolate as much (even though it is Australian), but they definitely have some interesting flavours you'd like. They just released a coffee bar that has ground coffee beans in the bar. Most of their range is a bit too sweet for me - they often do chocolate coated candies. I'm also a sucker for a citrus flavour or a salty/sweet combo. The Lindt bars are delicious for these things, but I'm too cheap to get their chocolate that often.
Yeee, advent calendars!=3 Thank you, this was so fun! I love chocolate, milk especially=) I wish this was a tin, not a cardboard box. I know it might add up to the price, but this art is so nice=)
I feel like the dragons breath elixir could have had a bit of chili flakes so it can match with the name, also it seems like they focused more on that cute halloween art than the chocolates.
I personally love anything mint and dark chocolate and salted caramel . I do wish the company made it a bit more advent calendar like, I.e making those different images as tabs to open for bars with the days up to halloween since that’s what you typically have with advent calendars
When she was opening it I thought it was going to be either book pages with a bar per page or maybe little drawers, I am sure that makes the packaging super complex but would have been amazing and potentially reusable!
The UK have very strict laws about food colouring and flavouring. They aren't permitted to use anything but natural flavours. We get spoiled here in Canada with the artificial flavourers which are very intense.
All of these look so decadent and divine 😍 Eating one of these a day would definitely be overkill and is something you really need to just savor over a longer period of time
I'm weirdly pleased to hear the pumpkin spice bar actually had pumpkin flavor. It seems to me a lot of "pumpkin spice" things have only the spice and no pumpkin!
This would have been a perfect video to include Zika!!! I noticed that in some of the bars the filling or flavor was in the middle and Jackie was eating a tiny corner so she wasn't getting the full flavor in some cases.
I love milk chocolate! ^_^ I love dark chocolate too, as long as it's not too bitter! I love white chocolate too, but I don't always see it as actual chocolate though! :D
Back when I was a kid, I loved white chocolate and still do, but later, I grew an affinity towards dark chocolate. So far my favorites are: 1. Milk chocolate 2. Milkinis (combo between milk chocolate and white chocolate) 3. Dark chocolate with mint. 4. Recently white Nestle chocolate with baklava in it. It's only in Turkey though, sadly. Not too sweet, but delicious. Highly recommend. I too don't like too sweet sweets, but this one is *chef's kiss*. 5. Kinder chocolate. 6. Dark chocolate with orange nougat. There was a brand that sold it. I think they pulled it off of their shells, sadly. It was cheap ($0.50 where I live), around 80 grams, it wasn't healthy at all, but, no joke, while I was in high school, I ate one almost every day. It was so addictive. Tried Hershey chocolate, it seems...waxy and not very chocolatey. Not a fan of Lindt, except their white chocolate. Don't get me wrong, I'm not picky at all, I'd eat any chocolate if it was a gift like the good piggy I am lol, but here are some of my faves.
