@@stricklandpropane7090 Facebook bought Instagram for one billion dollars in 2012; that was a huge news story at the time. When this series was recorded, Instagram had just hit 100 million users. For context, Spotify hit 100 million users mid 2019. If someone said "what's Spotify" on Only Connect *last year*, I think you would be justified in giggling at least a little.
But actually Goodyear did the same when he forced the answer about the moon phases before the other two really had time to think. And showing his anger the way he did was not exactly dignified!
I think I was the only one screaming at the screen for the Sugababes question and I still couldn't get the full answer because I don't even know Jade's last name. That and the "things you can burn question."
How does someone see a wall with Instagram, Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja, even permitting that they may not have known about Vine, the other 3 apps are unquestionably horrifically popular and should be the first to guess. How does anyone miss that.
they really shouldn't be the first guess, considering the wall included Vine, Pandora, Shazam, Instagram, Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja. you'd have to try upwards of 15 combinations before finding the right one.
What I want to know is who has the worse job: the guy doing the wah-wah guitar, or the cellists? Boy, being a professional musician gives you some tough gigs. And we don't even get to see them playing! Where's the glory?
