Only Endemic Mammal of Ladakh Himalaya, Ladakh Urial is one of very important ungulates of Ladakh. 

Ladakh is host to more than 37 identified mammals and among them Bighorns and Ungulates are in great percentage. Tibetan Antelope, Tibetan Gazelle, Tibetan Argali, Ladakh Urial, Blue-sheep, Asiatic Ibex, Himalayan Goral (ne2 record), and Musk Deers (no record since 1960).
A new record of Tibetan Blue Beer in Nubra in addition to the little number of Himalayan Brown Beer in the region adds to the rich biodiversity of Ladakh.
Ladakh is also known for some wild cats like Snow Leopard, Pallas's Cat, Eurasian Lynx and some Canines like Himalayan Wolf, Tibetan Wild dog, Tibetan Sandfox, Red Fox, etc..
