Such a comfort watch. Sums up winter Sundays, peeling carrots and putting crosses in sprouts for sunday dinner. Apple crumble, homework, Sunday blues and my dad's laughter watching this. Miss his laugh so much.
my favorite part is the beginning of the second song when he goes "no income tax, no V.A.T, no money back, no guarantee" because it describes my uncles business down to a tee.
I've actually seen a lot of various forum chats where many people thought it was Rodney singing the themes. Thing is, I can't hear it myself. To me, it sounds nothing like him. But you're certainly not alone, it's quite a common belief.
I hope you guys are good and still have great taste in comedy. Brings people together. Mange toi! Edit my dad was from Serbia I was brought up near Shepards bush!

Then this will give you plentiful options of what show to watch (I recommend starting from Season 1 Episode 1 to understand it all), unfortunately, that's all I have time for in explaining, be sure to like and subscribe to my Channel... and once again, Thank you!
John Sullivan, produced, wrote and sang this song, he wanted Chad and Dave to do it, but they were busy. Hence, John Sullivan also created and sang the song too.he's like a one man band of the show.
Omg! I'm very glad I'm not the only one who thought this too, and for the exact same reason that to me too, it always sounded just like Rodney's voice singing the theme. I'm surprised to know I'm not the only one who thought this! But I didn't know it was really someone else though. (i.e John Sullivan) But I'm glad I do know now. Thanks for that. :)
We can all pass comments on who is wrong and right and who it sounds like and who it doesn't but the point being is if its the opening verse or the closing one it makes each and everyone of us smile!!!!!Lets just all say!! Lovely jubley!!!
Stick a pony in me pocket I'll fetch the suitcase from the van Cause if you want the best 'uns And you don't ask questions Then brother I'm your man Where it all comes from Is a mystery It's like the changing of the seasons And the tides of the sea But heres the one thats driving me berserk Why do only fools and horses work La la lala - la la la la la (etc)
Yes but it was obvious at the end of that episode when Del came up with the idea of investing their money into the stock market that it was all gonna go wrong -thus leading to the events of the 2001 Christmas episode.
all-time British classic Only Fools and Horses I have got all the box set so funny it makes my day Legends it is a shame when they stopped it 5-star Only Fools and Horses best ever
+Liam Mahon I'm glad they stopped when they did. There's nothing worse than an amazing TV series going on well past its prime and devaluing the thing as is far more common with American TV shows. We tend to know when to stop here in the UK. Look at Fawlty Towers. 2 series, only 12 episodes ever made. Still utter classic and amazing.
Southern England national anthems be like, on a serious note this was one of the shows your dad would show u when you were a kid in the South of England
Is it just me or is Only fools and horses becoming more and more popular... Certainly the younger generation seem to know about it. But when you mention fawlty towers or the two ronnies - they don't have a clue. LONG LIVE ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES!
I get I'm tracking this comment from years ago, but it really seemed like Only Fools was having a renaissance before John Sullivan passed away. Two spin offs aired, The Green Green Grass and Rock and Chips, and there was even gonna be one last finale for the series proper. A shame BBC cut production and we lost Sullivan before all this could be fully realised and we got one last swansong (though in fairness the show might have kept coming back over and over otherwise :P).
