I shot an entire wedding using only one camera, the Leica SL2s and one lens the Leica 24-70mm f2.8 and here are some of the results and my thoughts about this setup.
Is it better than using two bodies and two prime lenses? Should you use this or should you go with more than one body and one lens?

Thanks for the vid. Have the sl2s love it and that lense you used is quite nice. Much prefer primes myself, but obviously zoom is nice for circumstances.

I had been thinking about getting the XF 16-55 but equivalent f4 DoF puts me off.

In terms of range it’s totally fine, aperture not so much. I’d suggest getting either the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 or the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 Those will give you a better aperture and a good range (and for the sigma a CRAZY lightweight setup). Cheers

@@cris_photography I don't think I worded it right. The 16-55 is 2.8 the same as sigma and tamron. I meant it's f4 equivalent in FF so not great for bokeh.

Oh y’a sorry my bad 🤦🏻😂 it IS an f2.8 indeed. Yes not the widest aperture in fact when doing the conversation to FF. That’s one limitation of APS-C sensors that can be challenging. I might try that on one of my next weddings to see if it would work. Cheers

I would go for two Sony A7RV (or A7RIVA) with fx Sigma 24mm 2.0 and Sigma 65mm 2.0, with the 60 megapixels you can crop a lot, so in reality the 24mm is 35mm with 26 megapixels (APSC-mode) and the 65mm is 98mm with 26 megapixels (APSC-mode), so 4 Cameras in two and two Lenses becomes 4.

Exactly. Thing is, while you can “crop a lot” If like me you never do, then it becomes useless to have 60mp. 2 Sonys would definitely work and give you great results! Cheers

@@cris_photography I do Landscape photography with wide angle Lenses, so I need those 60mp, I even want more. But I also sometimes crop a part of a scene if there fx is a Deer or if I do macro or family photography I often set the Camera in APSC mode, so I have two Cameras in one Camera, that is neat !

Hello, it did happen here and there but very seldomly. I normally remove the battery (which pops out very easily thank god) and put it back and am good to go. But with recent updates it got better and I didn't really run into this issue honestly. Take care

you don't need to shoot a wedding without primes. But with one camera body? Hell no. That's a big risk on a job that someone is paying you for.

Well, it worked just fine 🤷🏻 Also and as mentioned: I had 3 other bodies in my bag and at least 8 lenses. But sometimes I like to test things in a calculated way. Thanks for your feedback and views on this!

Till that one day that… you cry because of SD failure or wrong lens at the wrong time. NO one shoots weddings professionally weddings with such a set up. Hope you’re jocking 😰

@@cris_photography not joking. In our country even with pto cameras peoples are shooting with one card even they have 2 slots). But I am waiting for new pro apsc coming soon from sony. Will use 2 card slots.
