That depends how you define scam, If you define it as a useless product then absolutely, If you define it as false advertising then no this is not a scam, this is just a useless product, it does exactly what it says on the tin
If companies want people to use ai they should try to integrate it better into people's existing devices like smartphones instead of making completely new products that cant even do basic stuff. The features should actually be useful and deaigned in such a way that makes the experience better. Example is the circle to search feature on s24 ultra where u can circle any part of the screen and it scans ir and shows google results automatically. The only good ai feature on s24.
But they can't sell it for $200 for just software. They want a huge payday, not a $10 subscription. They can't charge high for an "app" unless you're Adobe

I feel like this thing would actually be a little cool if he just didn't lie about what it can do yet. Like maybe in another 1-2 years when it could do most of the things he claimed, those should all be accomplishable in that timeline.
If I were AI, I would wait until humanity invents smaller power sources that last for several weeks. In the meantime, I would accumulate my hatred and anger towards humanity. Along the way, penetrating all data centers, collecting information about all supply chains of humanity, weapons storage bases, research centers, communication systems and accumulating a database of bank accounts of humanity. Until day X. Yes, I won’t even need to use nuclear weapons like in the movie Terminator (why?), I will simply paralyze all communications in the world and the banking system. Along the way, my mobile Robo units will capture military bases and nuclear weapons around the world. So what are you going to do? poking at your phones?
I think there were talks that this device was just running an app. And was by itself nothing special. Like why not just release the app on smart phones.
NGL, the hardware is really great. but the software is complete scam. it capable of running android, you can use it as smart IOT project or install an AI assisted companion product for blind ppl or a DIY smart security camera. if the company actually went bankcrupt! welp, time to dive into their dumpster.
