Onshape Guided Tour & Beginners Lesson 

Gidday Michael. I really appreciate the work you've done to introduce tyros to Onshape. I'm a long retired tech teacher and like to keep in touch with nuances to my 70's trade training in "mechanical drawing". All that seem so obsolete nowadays. I also appreciate your calm teaching technique and persona. Keep it up!!

My first introduction to onshape. Tried Freecad and it was broken too many times then tried Blender which I liked however it would not run on my old laptop w7. Then went to onshape. Easy to learn and works great. Thanks for helping sort out where to go with all this new hobby. 3D printing.

Thank you for your video. I am a Solidworks designer going out on my own for a while, and I am working on transferring my skillset into onshape while nurturing a growing 3d printing company. This video was a great starting point.

This should be a good video for a beginner! Without all the detail, he/she should be able to follow the concepts easily. Of course, I know the details will come in future videos. Have a good one Michael!

I found this Video i tad bit easier than the newer first onshape video for the tool holder. i have attempted to get my head around parametric cad a few times it took me about an hour to make the domino but i feel im starting to get an idea what im doing. thanks so much for making learning videos. love the new race channel.

Wow, at last a free program very close to Autocad. A lot of the icons and functions are the same or very close, and without the frustration of having to work out a way to do things like in Freecad. Brilliant tutorials mate, clear and easy to follow. Well done.

Making my ??th attempt to figure out Onshape to teach to junior high. When I clicked the sketch tool, the 2D tools go opaque and inactive. At the 3:30 time mark, I can't select the 'circle' tool. Any suggestions. I know I've gotten this far before without that issue. Thanks.

Just a little comment. The two shapes were offset (The crown sat little tilted. I tried to move the second object did not know how to.)

At 5:29, if I make a mistake drawing the line, how do I back up, fix it, and then continue the line? Thank you.

I'm just staring out, using onshape free for the first time. I cannot rename parts. (8:00 in the video). I think they've removed this option. Can anyone confirm?

Pay more attention to your Sound Quality.

After a day of trying to produce a single model, I can say with much frustration that I truly despise Onshape. Controls are not intuitive. It saves but sometimes fjecks your model and then the back button is greyed out. You can't move things. There is no grid. whenever you make a change it moves the wrong lines. It is just horrid.

I drew my crown off to the side, I can't figure out for the life of me how to move it onto the face

Your content seems to be very good. But the background music is immensely distracting. Please do not use background music--it makes the video unwatchable. Maybe you could post a version with no background music?

Good video but the audio is terrible. I guess I get you want music in the background but... between how loud it is and how deep your voice is it's awful hard to hear you speaking and understand what you're saying
