In this video we use sketching and the circular pattern tool to create spinning tops and fidget spinners. This easy lesson will get you impressive results in a minimum of time.
In a future video we will manufacture the items using 3D printing and a CNC router.

loving these tutorials. Keep getting something wrong on this when I try to start the tangents my entire shape freaks out so I will have to come back to this one later.

Quick Point, you no longer need to exit the sketch to extrude.

Having a tough time understanding the tangent tool. Plus, my viewpoint is often skewed without me realizing it, so verticals become horizontals, and I'm not quit sure how to re-centre.

You're going way too fast at 1:32 on and not explaining these "tangent tools" useage. Sorry. Most of the lessons are really good, but this one is killing me. All I'm hearing is a continuous group of clicks from you.

1 select the line tool and draw the straight line. 2 select the 3 point arc tool 2a the first point will be on the straight line the second point points give you a diameter. 2b the 3rd point gives the direction and curvature of the arc. 3 Select the tangent tool 3a select the other end of the straight line then another point a short distance away this will give you the bottom curve 3b still using the tangent tool click on each open end to create the final curve
