Onsra claims 37 miles on their website for the range. I usually estimate the real range for any board by multiplying official number by (0.7). That comes out to be 25.9 Miles estimated real miles which is super close to what I got. What do you think about The Velar's range?

I got similar results with my range test Weight with all gear: 245 lbs Stock setup 18-25mph ( mixture of modes 2,3,4 ) Elevation gain 1400 ft Total range 26 miles In the last 25% I had some steep hills on the way back so I had to drop it down to mode 2 ( I think it’s cruise mode ) to make sure I made it back Finished with 5% left at 46v

Thank you for this amazing range test my man Keep it up 👍🏾 I have to say I’m slightly disappointed by the range. I honestly thought it could get somewhere between 28mph - 31mph given your weight. I have an Exway Atlas Pro+ Auxpack. I went 45mph with 25% left on a group ride. Obviously range depends on so many factors. And all that being said we all have different style of riding and different purposes. I’m all about long range and able to enjoy group rides with no anxiety so Excellent job 😁👍🏾 Ps: my weight with all my gear and backpack is around 235lbs and I love carving too lmao 😂

Nice test! Regarding 8:35 - I don’t think there’s any software magic happening, we see this with quadcopter LiPO and LiIon batteries too: if you push them hard then rest them, the voltage rebounds a little. It then sags again when you draw power.

Love your content and the work you put into it. Question: Why only 40 psi if 60 is max? Suggestion: Calibrate remote "trip" vs. GPS app distance to account for carving. 1. Phone and remote in each hand. 2. Ride in a straight line @ 20mph GPS indicated. 3. Carefully peek at the remotes indicated mph. 4. Calculate the +/- offset % and apply it to the remotes "trip". This gives a pretty accurate carving distance travelled. Boardsport fanatic note: Carving can impact distance(amp draw)dynamically if pumping is introduced. Just like transition skating, surfing, surfskating, snowboarding, and long distance pumping...you can actually generate momentum/speed by compression/extension, thereby decreasing amp draw. More of a workout. Carving can also scrub speed/increase amp draw, by alternative compression/compression and dead legging it. Less of a workout.

I just bought cloud wheels for my backfire zealot x and the included wheel cover is too small . I want the 110 rovers but the 105mm cloud wheels have just enough clearance to not rub so I don’t think I can fit them . Is there another type p of wheel cover or do I just leave it exposed with the bigger wheel

The voltage of a Lithium Ion battery will only settle after about 5 minutes after the last current draw so if the battery percentage that is displayed is calculated from voltage without any adjustments it makes sense that you would see a higher percentage after a rest.

Hey… thx for your video❤ I’m having an eye on the velar and the plutonium But I think the velar fits better to me because I’m a surfer and analog skater 😂 At the moment I ride a gtr from evolve It’s nice and carvy but the range is not so nice Second use board (4years) 29km was the longest range in off-road No flatt streets And my wheight 65 kg I don’t want so fast as you go😮 What is your opinion ?

In terms of range with the 14s4p configuration, 25-28miles with someone around 200lbs going 20-25mph is average. The acceleration, mixture of stability at high speed and carvability is what's impressive with this board for me. I'm still wondering if I should get this or the Propel Endeavor2 Pro and I'm still leaning towards the Velar more. I just love the overall shape and design of the Velar, and of course the option to change it up so that it's even carvier, but I probably won't do that. I heard the Orion ESC is pretty good, even smoother than VESC, is this true?

@surfer30071972 great board !the quality feels better then evolve , much more powerfull compared to my hadean . The downside is that the battery usage goes down By 5% instead evolve have a 1% accuracy if u know what I mean , very stiff board because the trucks are bolt directly to the deck so u end up feeling everything on the street. Turning feels better and more precise compared to double king pin trucks
