Hello Dude, ONSRA engineer here. Thank you so much for shuch a cool video! You point out really interesting perspectives on the VELAR. For instance, and to assure you, you wont have any interruption while riding. The board is in carbon fiber which blocks the signal from the antenna to go too far away since the antenna is inside. The motors scream give me exactly the same feeling and adrenaline, I'm always tempted to go over 30mph just so I can hear it. I challenge you to test both trucks with the bushings on the inside, its the most carvy setup you'll ever have, but also super dangerous for inexperienced riders. We'll definitely get a fast charger for this one, dont worry 🙌. Let us know more in the next videos 🤘 Have a good one!
@@spartankittygames I've ridden mine through water a lot of times this summer and had 0 issues. Had to open the enclosure just so I could put an AirTag inside and had no water inside since the o-ring has a really nice channel in the board. We designed it to be as robust as possible for off-road. Just be sure to clean and put the charger seal rubber in the right place.
Is it still smooth if i just want to ride slow like on my Black Carve 3? i ride mostly on mode 1 and 2 in my city, I only want more range and that look 😁
@@skfunk4550 I have both so I can give you a very honest term of comparison. BC3 is super nice to carve, super stable board and comfortable for city riding and a bit of off-road. VELAR is another level, the carving is insane, almost like snowboard, I can lean way more my weight and can do way tighter curves. It's also very very stable but depends on your bushing setup. At 60km/h or 37mph, you might get speed wobble (in the most carvy setup, otherwise it's super super stable) if the road has a lot of bumps and you're not well positioned in your VELAR. ( I suggest keeping the factory setup, front bushings in, back bushings out) For off-road, just yesterday I was doing 35km/h (20mph) literally in completely unregular fields and I could drift with the back while still maintaining control. I'm not ultra skilled but I like to risk it. Once you learn how to burnout and do donuts, then you're a show stopper because this is insanely fun to do. When I get back to the BC3, it's like you're suddenly get less ability to lean your body but it's also a more chill riding experience. The carving is different, more powerful and nimble on the VELAR. I used the VELAR for normal cruising and I feel, since it's higher, it allows me to drop some small steps without a problem and keep going chill while on the city. Remember to add an AirTag to your boards 🤘
@@BN99239 The VELAR already comes with a pretty fast charger on default (4.0). We will have some bigger chargers available soon (7.6A). They are on its way and will be available worldwide in about 3-8 weeks depending on where you're from.
Look for the range and top speed , hope it’s close to what’s advertised. I hate that most videos of this board are made by the creators and of course they don’t give information just weee look it’s fun videos and reading the basic instructions
Even though I bought a B-one Titan X recently (and I love it), I was ready to buy this board after watching your review... And then I saw the price! At $1800 or so I would've ordered it, but $2600 is just too much (IMO). Hopefully they have some significant sales in the future as it looks like an awesome board!
Bad advice on the foot position. You should always have your front foot all the way to the front especially at high speeds. To turn more you need to adjust your body position. Unlike a lighter board you must use your body weight, lean more and push out harder. It's better to adjust your feet further to the opposing edge to get the board to lean more.
I am extremely conflicted. Right now and need more testing. I love them both. So far Nyx has better value as it’s much cheaper. The Velar starts at $2500.
Oh crap, now I want to try one. So many questions: 1. Did you get the 2in1? Are you going to be trying the street wheels also? Assuming the acceleration would be gnarly but the ground clearance looks super low on the website with 110mm. 2. Likey will be in your indepth reviews, observed top speed and range with the 200mm wheels? 3. Should have a 2 hr charger? Sorry, but who rides 37 miles, waits 2 hrs, and is ready for another 37 miles in the same day? Isnt battery longevity on a 2500 dollar board worth more than appeasing ~1% of riders? 4. Ive never ridden a board that up curves that way to improve breakover angles...did you find the canted foot position odd or noticeable? Snowboarding you want your knees closer when carving, did this shape make you more bowlegged? 5. Are you going to go indepth into the remote options and stats? Interested on how accurate the stats and speed/distance is. Thanks for the content.
@@chrixx9914 it is low for seller situated in EU. So Yes, lot of producers are searching ways how to avoid it. For example buy from China but delivering from EU stock.
This is my favorite board right now. I’ve had the following boards; Propel X4S, too high and too heavy-sold. The Ecomobl M24, too loud and heavy-sold. Acedeck NYZ, fast and stable- a keeper. Bajaboard S2 Atrax. Extremely comfortable and stable in any road conditions - keeper. Boundmotor Flash, fast and nimble, great Vesc esc and remote - keeper. Meepo Hurricane Ultra gear drive dkp, fast, carvy but not the most stable at high speed. Lacroix Barrel - purchased a brand new board never ridden but stored for 8 months. Bought it but never got to ride it. Battery flat dead. Lacroix gone, I’m screwed. Always wanted a Kaly but living in SE Asia it would end up costing double the MRSP after custom duties so I was overjoyed to find the Velar, probably the next best thing and it I was not disappointed. Love the remote and esc, smooth acceleration and you feel confident at high speeds +30mph. None of my other boards made me feel like that.
My NX remote does the same but that's only when i am further away from the board, never any issues with disconnections otherwise. Best remote I've ever had.
The z1 is much better performance for the dollar. Onsra has is definitely a premium selection with a 2 year warranty. But I love the Velars trucks so far it’s the best I’ve ever tried
The board is the bomb. I ride one too. It's nuts. I didn't dare to max it yet neither^^. The carving is so smooth. It's just perfect in every aspect. Could only add lighting, but it's matter of taste, and I got nothing to add beyond that perfection of a board.
2:57 your feet's position looks absolutely terrible, it looks like you'll brake your ankle at any time and it feels like too much stress on the joints. Hope it's comfortable to ride this way.
