Dear Dr Kriukow, First of all I want to thank you for making us understand about many topics and concepts related to research and issues faced by researchers. I have learned so much from you. Thanks. this is really helpful. Part of my confusion is that there seem so many terms and I don't know if they are different or just nuanced. For example I have seen Ontology divided into 'Materialism' and 'Idealism". I presume if you take an ontological idealism stance you are using a relativist ontology? And Epistemology divided into 'Empiricism' and 'Rationalism' - presumably subjective and objective/positivist? For example is relativist ontology just another name for Idealism ontology - or are there differences? If you have a positivist ontology is that the same as rational ontology?

These are good questions, and you are right that there is confusion and plenty of terms that are overlapping and used interchangably. I would lie if I told you that I understand all of this , because I don't! This is why I suggest choosing a set of terms used by one specific author and clinging to them, otherwise you will simply go crazy try to understand this - and you will waste way too much time on this
