My thoughts: 1) the direction of the arrows feels arbitrary; 2) "agents" could be developed in terms of "Markovian Kernels" which are agents that have consciousness=awareness+attention, choice (p XOR ¬p), and action in a world; 3) "action in a world" implies the cell, which consists of an "inside" and "outside" and a "boundary" which defines wholly the intelligence of the agent.
