The fact that they try to nickel and dime you for a generic $2 CO2 cartridge and a proprietary piece of break away plastic is kind of a turn off. Commenter: *Any kind of question regarding rearming* Onyx: It's best to buy the rearm kit Commenter: What about.. Onyx: Buy the kit.
According to the Halkey-Roberts website, this inflator should have a 3/8" gasket (they list it as Halkey-Roberts 849AM 3/8" gasket) in the 3/8" cylinder receiver. Mine is missing? Do I need this gasket and where can I get one from?
Daniel, always refer back to the owner's manual. For the M-16 belt pack, it should contain a 16 gram CO2 cylinder with 3/8" thread, as well as a green indicator tab. Here is a direct link to the corresponding rearming kit. Hey there, I just bought one of these and was wondering if standard 16g threaded co2 cartridges can be used to rearm? What happens to the green indicator pin when you activate this? Thanks.
When the "jerk to inflate" handle is pulled and inflation occurs, the green indicator pin breaks and falls out. This will need to be replaced as well. We would recommend our M-16 rearming kit that contains the 16 gram CO2 cylinder with 3/8' thread and green indicator pin. The rearming kit can be found here: www.onyxoutdoor.com/p/m-16-rearming-kit-for-manual-inflatable-life-jackets-pfds/inflatable-life-jackets_rearming-kits?pp=24
We would recommend using the CO2 cylinder that comes with the product and/or comes with the appropriate rearming kits. We would NOT recommend using anything other than that for this product. If you break or lose the green indicator tab, please contact our customer support team and they can assist you. absolute@absoluteoutdoorinc.com
