Thank you for this. I don't think you said what the brick colours you used were. They looked very good. The doors appear to be inside-out; the bracing is always on the inside, otherwise the rain rots them from the crevices.

Goods shed looks great 👍 I would keep the water tower in front of the pillar & try & disguise it that way. Just finished the LCUT GWR footbridge… the step were very fiddly! Good luck!

I think it's all looking spiffing. I think that the Goods Shed looks great, the doors look fine to me too.✌️👍😊 I think that the water tower should remain whole and have trees behind it, overhanging it🤔🤔👍😊

Thank you, I’ll probably do that with the trees 😊

@@OONeal You're most welcome I think that should work well with low level camera shots too, make the support all but disappear ✌️👍🤞💜

Nice work Tris. I have to say the colour of the brick looks fantastic. I like the use of the different colours used to paint the brick. The goods shed came out looking great. - Nicholas.

The texture can be nice but delaminating bricks is familiar to me, I also lost chunks mid-wall. For this one, if you’re not too happy with the corner, perhaps use your DLP to resin yourself some masonry corner stones to cap them? Are the doors the right way around? Silly question probably, I normally have the braces on the inside. You already know my thoughts on the beam which is to try and integrate the building but in that case, some trees as you mention but also think the water tower might benefit being just a touch taller to take a bit more of the beam from view, you could have a raised platform to lift it a little, but tbh whatever you do is going to look awesome anyway…

Your painting is NOT a terrible job!! You’ve done rather better than I ever could!!

Nice one Tris! I'm impressed with your painting of the brickwork - something I shall definitely try in the future. Cheers!

Hi, it’s always amazing the transformation from white card or wood when a bit of paint is applied, specially by your expert hand and artistic vision. Re the interlocking corners, next time before painting, try a small amount of tile grout with you thumb and finger rubbed into the corners , that should even out those pesky unrealistic corner joints. Great work though, Rob

This is the first of your videos I've watched and although the layout looks like it has grand potential, the most stunning things are the cliffs on the backdrop. Absolutely beautiful. Cheers Stu

The good shed doors you could say they’ve been renewed sometime ago and are now weathering down as I imagine in real life this can happen I like it to be honest 😊 cheers Mark 😊😊

Enjoyed watching this. If it were me I would make the doors a paint finish eg something like railway red lead, and then add a bit of signage like goods shed or something that is prototypical of your layout. I might event add a man door into the goods shed door as they ere pretty common. As for the water tower I would paint the top part of the roof strut blue, same colour as the backdrop. Then bung a few trees to break it up a bit.

Nice paint job, Tris!! I’m sorry but I don’t paint, I don’t build and my Dad’s Army layout is being done up by my son Ted.

Looking good some good work in creating the good yard. How about disguising the roof support using trees and undergrowth then position the water tank slightly off to one side.

Spray the model first with black lightly on the bottom of the building, on the edges not to much.... Then use lighter coats of paint for the brick, the black darkens the brick automatically. The middle of the brick is normally lighter. I can’t give you more than that as I have my own painting system developed for my own model range….. The manufacturers of the paint were gob smacked and the painting studio floored when I told them how fast I could produce a ready to use brick building.

Groot, which is Ancient Norse for GREAT, should meet my gorgeous ginger tomcat King Harold. He represents my 19x great uncle whose heart was buried in the altar wall of Waltham Abbey Church.

How about having the goods shed doors opened fully so they are against the walls? Less obtrusive and more authentic?

Did you seal each layer of paint before adding the next layer, like before you add and wipe off the mortar colour for the brick shed?
