This scene! As a kid I was SO hyped to see Master Roshi apparently fight Broly. I hadn't seen Dragon Ball (none of us had, really) so seeing him fight was this amazing, rare thing. Obviously I knew he didn't stand a chance but I was hyped to see it go down. Best part of the movie by a mile, I don't like this one. EDIT: Stop trying to "UM ACKSHULLY" me. Nobody I ever met as a kid had watched Dragon Ball. We had seen the odd episode here and there if we caught it on TV, but hadn't followed it the whole way through. If you went to forums to discuss DBZ, very few people there had seen it either. It was only for the real diehards in the English speaking community at that time. Even TeamFourStar made a joke about how nobody watched Dragon Ball. If your experience differed, I am not talking to you. Shut up.
In Budokai Tenkaichi 3 when you do the mission for the broly movie if you wait long enough as SS Goku it will let you swap in with full power Roshi and fight Broly. There’s even special cutscenes for it.
That’s…alright? It’s nothing special; it’s a throwaway line. Honestly, anything with Oolong automatically elevates it just because of his character’s witty writing.
