@boo3046 Chorus is Tolkien's elvish (quenya) and they probably didn't translate it themselves since it's little off. Here is the original chorus: "Naira ëar, naira ëar, Endor lestalmë Eldamar Naira ëar, naira ëar, tanna lutta nu i Menelmacar Naira ëar, naira ëar, Endor lestalmë Eldamar Naira ëar, naira ëar, telda ranta ló i menya lenda" And here is real translation: "Vast sea, vast sea, (from) Middle-earth we leave (to) Eldamar Vast sea, vast sea, there we float under Menelmacar Vast sea, vast sea, (from) Middle-earth we leave (to) Eldamar Vast sea, vast sea, last part of our journey" And then there is "Ela Eldamar" and "Síra an Elerrína" which means "behold Eldamar" and "today to Elerrína". The parts that are in parenthesis are parts that were missing in the original lyrics, so basically, she is literally singing "Middle-earth we leave Eldamar" which is wrong. More accurate translation to quenya would be "Endorello lestalmë Eldamarenna". Of course, it doesn't sound so appealing anymore music wisely. One example of quenya from Aragorn's coronation song; "Et ëarello Endorenna utúliën" and this translates to "Out from the sea to Middle-earth I have come". @@nicky9790 I was just interested. I knew there were various dialects but being Australian I wouldn't have a clue how to tell the difference. I love the way she sounds though so wanted to know in case I decided I wanted to try and learn the language.
while the song is quite average poppy/not outstanding and the german parts feel kind of cheesy (for my german ears) it's supernice to hear quenya sung in excitement and not in the slow plangent way they did in the LOTR movies. they even made it rhyme! =)
