That Sanji and Law ruling is contrary to the OP02 FAQ about OP01 Law playing out a 4 cost Wano character that has its cost reduced by 1 through Kin'emon's effect. Whoever decided this new ruling messed up.
Kinemon the leader reduces cost (ie dons) you pay for a character you’re playing.. op01 law effect simply plays a cost 3 or lower (the number on the top left of the card) character without paying.. the sanji card says the cost (number on the card) of the card is reduced by 3, not that you pay (it costs) 3 fewer dons to play it.. I believe they’re trying to differentiate cost the number and cost the dons rested, in Japanese it’s more apparent as that on the Japanese kinemon card it says the cost paid is reduced by one instead of the cost is reduced by one
I love that Rob Lucci character card but I just don't see how his effect will have a true impact. Like I get it, you stop the opponent from being able to grab a specific card from their trash. But I don't see that having such an impact that it's like "damn this effect will make me lose if he returns this card" I just don't see it.
These “FAQs” make me really believe a majority of OP players have never even looked at a TCG before, hard to believe any of these were actually questions
