At it again, this time with some more questionable dance moves and upgraded film editing skills. Recently finished building a new pallet table, hence the construction theme and blood under my fingernail haha... Just the Teenage Engineering OP-1, no external FX. If anybody finds a way to change between OP-1 master FX without actually applying the effect automatically I would love to hear it. If anyone is interested in seeing a video explaining my OP-1 workflow let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Watching how you navigate through the different parts of the tape, fx, and the transitions is quite inspiring and has me rethinking my approach to preforming live on the OP-1. I would like to see a workflow explanation video. Awesome performance! Keep it up !

Thanks heaps for taking the time to say that man, I’m glad I could help. Limiting myself to just the OP-1 and no fx definitely helped me to get a bit more creative with transitions. I will make a workflow video to explain how I build my tracks, and include some tips for live performances. Thanks again for the encouragement 👊

Thanks for the support team, your comments are the reason I decided to release some of the tracks from my OP-1 house sets... Here is the first of three 4-track releases, 'The Operator Tapes: Vol. 1': gyro.to/TheOperatorTapesVol1 ... The tracks are all from my 3rd OP-1 Live Set. I haven't picked the 4 tracks that I'll release for this particular set yet - any preferences???

Hey thanks again Tropiki! All of the sounds were either sequenced or played on the OP-1. I haven’t imported any loops if that’s what you mean. Hope that answers your question?

Did you create most of the melodies or is this only (majority) of sampling ? Nice set btw Thks (Sorry for my English, French guy)

Hey man, thanks! I generally start each track by chopping up/flipping a sample and then write the drums, bass, lead sounds from there. After it is chopped, the sample can be played like a new instrument, to create a different melody.

Hey Will, yes mate I would 😎. I bought the Field for that exact reason, now I can store multiple sets on one device and instantly change between sets while master fx are still running. Will be gigging with just the Field next week. The OG-1 you could gig with for 1 - 1.5 hours comfortably on one 6-min tape set. I have done this before, but used two OG-1’s to play a 3-hr set and faded between them with a mini passive mixer (pokketmixer)

Haha yeh it’s very doable man. Just ‘Hooch’, @hooch_music on insta, that’ll give you a better idea of what my live stuff looks like. I often use the SP for effects, but the next gig will be Field solo, doing a hip-hop/house set. I’ll check out Black Fire League, was this with modular gear?
