In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Ironclad. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/cas...

21:05 no. Nope. Nuh uh. He did NOT just say “I already have enough powers in the deck I don’t really want anymore…..” and then literally the very next sentence was “this is where we would’ve liked to have seen a corruption..” I refuse to believe that just happened. 😂😂

16:07 splitting saved you 1 hp in that fight…. lol still worth because who knows what you would’ve played after the 12 damage came in and you had to split after that.. I’d say somehow it worked out really really well…. Lol

Have you got any videos on routing? I'm stuck at 'clad A8 (keep getting wiped in acts 2 and 3) and I think if I could route less ignorantly that'd be the way out

I still refuse to believe that the heavy blade pick at the start was better than sword boomerang. He never even played it in the first elite fight

ive heard him say a few times that this last year has convinced him that heavy blade is better than sword boomerang. he used to really love that ol boomerang, too. somethin bout consistency i guess. he's already got a floor 1 FNP for general block and sentries, so i suppose hes got every right to consider targeted damage more important imo. also hes going to a shop with a ton of gold so i guess he estimated he could build a little more around it or buy stuff that wouldnt need to? idk i hate boomerang lol

The silent has a card that doubles the poison of enemy upgrade it and it became triple, add that with a card that make 3 copies of a card that u have in your hand for the next turn and boom I once make an enemy gets 702 poison damage

I am soooooo confused as to why he has to rest at 60 health when he normally has 60 health in an act 3 and he feels very confident taking 4 elites in a row?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I’m so confused by that play other than intentionally not wanting to lift to make the run harder.

Because the deck took a lot of damage from easy pool fights, and was taking a few turns to get setup; in that scenario, health is the buffer to stay alive. Normally, decks that get that far, aren't taking over 25 damage from darklings.

@@fatrickbateman9473 I'm not about to go back and count all the times upgraded defends/block cards saved him health on turns and all the times upgraded attacks let him finish fights faster, but you're clearly not going to be convinced, have a good one Edit: Not to mention all the fights apo let him stall to get away with feeding at all
